This game in my opinion, has been the most fun I’ve ever had with a WWE game in YEARS. While I enjoyed 19, it didn’t hit the same level as 14 in terms of sheer enjoyment. And 22 definitely felt as fun as the classics for me, despite the issues. Let’s hope the next games after this one actually use the foundation left here and develop even more good games.
Yes! My only complaint about the game is the crashing and my saved customizations somehow get corrupted changed or deleted all together, but that is a huge complaint.
Agreed, Universe mode feels rather bland. Especially if you control a single superstar. And the booking is weird, if you use that funny menu to get a specific match, you got two matches in one show.

I’m saying if they could find a cool and good way to implement them then hell yeah, but realistically I can’t think of anyway you could. And with that I would rather just not have them at all. Me and my buddy are huge nerds and we run our Universe and make little antidotes about the shows in a google doc, and if we wanted a promo or some kind of story moment for a rivals we just write it ourselves and frankly that’s making better memories then if I had to read that cringe dialog from the promos in old games lol.
I have 2k22, and have not put it down since playing it. Being a person who was stuck playing 2k19 because I avoided 2k20, I could not wait to get my hands on it, and honestly any issues I've had have been so minor, I don't even remember what they were. I just enjoy it!
2k19 was the first WWE game I had played since the 2000s and I just couldn't bond with it. Countering an opponent seemed difficult to me, and kicking out of a pin seemed unnecessarily difficult.
I jus hate that if I play a tag team match online my entrance shows my teammate instead of MY character, aside from that and the lags this game is perfect

While there is definitely room for improvement. Specifically with weapons, tables and ladders. The MyRise mode for me is my go-to. I've made Glass Joe a Cruiserweight champion and had him dominate every roster he's been on. It shows a lot of work was put into that mode, but things like MyFaction and MyGM were tacked on and felt too much like those Fifa card collection games we've seen time and time again. I understand that's where the big profits come from, but I wish it was gone all together. I do like the new updates they've added though. Like the NXT 2.0 arena and the Banzai pack with 5 new characters. To me, while it's not the BEST WWE game. To me that's SvR 2011, it's a new direction with the series that doesn't completely reinvent the wheel; but more so tries to smooth it out.

It feels like the old PS2 games in a whole lot of ways. Sadly it's also got the same issues, like running attacks missing, hit detection with weapons can be terrible and springboard & toprope moves are a bloody gamble, while the AI has a heatseeking version of them... However, it IS a very fun game overall and I'm convinced it would be best if development sticks to a 2 year rhythm from now on. Just like so many other games would profit of.
No where near compared to the ps2 boy, you can't throw off people off on hell in the cell, its so weird, I just miss the destruction from the ps2 games, everything is so weird in 2k22, and besides I miss making really cool entrance and adding my owns songs downloaded from the ps3 onto the entrance and so much more, this is not it 2k22 fell off
One thing I have yet to understand is why, when you're facing the AI, it sometimes stays down for the 3 after only getting a body part into yellow and hitting a signature but sometimes it's in red and you hit a finisher and they kick out.
@@deathcon6261 oh ok I know what ur talking about. Although It still not an answer to wat op said. What he/she is saying is that the A.I is not consistent when kicking out of a pin. They'll kick out of finisher all day long but hit them with a signature that turns a body part yellow and they down for the count.
The GM Mode recently added tag belts for men and women in a patch as well as more match booking slots on normal shows. While I don't expect the depth from 07-08 I'm confident that 2K wouldn't have added those things to MyGM if they weren't willing to listen to feedback for improvement.
Really GM mode got patched?! Didn’t know that. It’s limited belts/matches is what put me off from buying the game. If they keep updating it I might buy it

i enjoyed GM mode a bit more when they added extra matches per show and tag team titles to worry about, but i agree its still a bit bare bones.assume if it stays for the next game it will be pretty cool Id actually be fine with them doing a game every two years if they kept up the improvements, to be honest
I'm still playing 2k19 and having fun in universe with raw smackdown WCW 205 live with minor shows main event and Wcw thunder universe is much better than 2k22 and matches flowed better instead of being repetitive.
I know, I'm surprised that WWE 2k14 was good enough to suck rather than dribble on the ground. In all seriousness, WWE 2K20 was probably so bad that it could reasonably be referred to as "the other bad thing of 2020" by wrestling fans.
How MyRise goes: **starts title storyline** **does 3 matches and gets title shot** **bullshit happens and you loose title shot** **do 6 more matches for rematch** **win** **title gets stolen from you**
I really like MyRise a lot, but there were two things that put me off about it: 1. There’s only one voice actor for men and one for women. If you wanted to play a black, white, Asian, or any other kind of superstar for men, you just need to break the immersion and accept the fact you’ll have the voice of a Hispanic man. I’m not saying to have a super detailed voice system, just have like other video games have and get like 3-5 voices to choose from. Yeah yeah yeah I get it you have to pay that many voice actors for all the lines in the game, but 2K has the budget. 2. And this one is way more major-being a champion feels meaningless in the game outside of the storylines in which you get them. You will be listed as champion under the “Champions” tab, but that’s about it. You don’t come to any matches with the belt, you don’t get announced as the champion anywhere. It’s like you never became champion. I remember beating Roman Reigns for the Universal title, then going and getting the storyline done for the IC title as well. I expected there to be some storyline or dialogue at the GM’s office about how I had to choose one title to vacate because I couldn’t hold two singles titles at the same time, but nope. Nothing. Even 2k19 had you take the Universal title everywhere with you after the main story. I don’t mean to go on about it, but in a mode that I genuinely have a lot of fun in and enjoy immersing myself in a lot, that part feels EXTRA bad to me.
Yeah at least in SvR 08 there was 5 voices to choice from all different. I don’t have this game yet cuz next gen console is 80 bucks still don’t think it’s that worth

I’m glad someone else noticed that, I was expecting like a belt chasing storyline maybe after I got both belts on one brand but nothing, it’s never mentioned it doesn’t matter an ounce outside of the generic “defend the belt” matches. I wish there was something grander behind the story, like a big overarching main storyline and the other minor story’s could’ve been used as side missions
WWE 2K22 is good don’t get me wrong just like 19 is lacking certain aspects to make a alright game don’t get me wrong like GM mode being lackluster compared to SVR GM mode but still other than that2K at least made sure the gameplay isn’t too difficult like 20
Wwe22 is by far the best wrestling game in awhile. the pace is awesome you can gas it and finish someone off quick or take your time for a more grind feel also I’m getting a good number of matches in a short time frame online and hours can pass by bc it’s that engaging.
They just need to stay down longer when taking powermoves, I can never hit a top rope dive because my opponent decides to get up almost immediately after taking a powerbomb or DDT.
With MyRise i think it lacks continuity and they just ignore connecting storylines. One day you are IC Champion, the next your competing for the Universal Title without being mentioned as IC Champ. One day your US Champion but then you receive a text where Tozawa pretends to be Vince to send you to a chosen location by him and attacks you for the 24 title you won way before

I'll give 2K the credit they deserve, because they do keep adding to the GM mode with various patches, most recently the tag titles. I'm hoping they give us the United States and Intercontinental titles. Hopefully add Royal Rumble too as a PPV since that is missing. So, i do hope 2K does keep listening to fan feedback as they've been really good with it and improving the game more to have a good replay value and be worth the money it is. I've personally enjoyed 22 a lot and its fast pace action since high flyers are exactly that, you do run out of stamina too i've noticed, even if you don't see the meter at the bottom, you do see the blue circle going red or empty. So, it is there.

This game has been a big improvement. Personally it's just little things I wish they'd implement. I don't like the control scheme for grappling the 2k19 system of just direction and X is way simpler and flows a bit better for matches. Certain moves can feel a bit stiff. For caw stuff bring back advanced entrance even if it's a smaller version like in 2k15, and bring back full body customization. If I want a 5'2 obese man the size of Nickacado yet weigh to be a cruiserweight let me have that. Not the pre defined bodies that may not work for every caw type. For My Rise I'd just add like an internal time tracker so you can see how much in game time has passed, giving you urgency do I want a main roster debut right off the bat or do I wanna spend a year in developmental doing the other objectives. Currently it just feels like a jumble of this happened and then this and this, peppering in little news bits from other shows to show a whole little world passing by.
Your absolutely right dude I feel older games should carry the amount of nostalgia and details choices etc but that’s what the devs don’t get just cause it’s old doesn’t mean we don’t love it anymore I wish I could go back and play the old WWE games and not these broken ones.
Me too man , that's why I'm here , I was just playing svr on the ps2 & I absolutely still had a lot of fun playing it. I want to give the new wrestling games a try , but I don't want to be disappointed, I haven't played a wrestling game since smackdown vs raw 2006 .
Playing this game is like going back into dating after having a horrible 3 year relationship. You want to have an open mind, but you're haunted by your past experience.
My gm is too easy seriously you can pass it with low card superstars and have only 2 brands at on time no intercontinental title they had to patch in the tag titles svr 07 and 08 has a better gm mode although it was a harder it was realistic with mid card tag and world championships and pre shows in svr 2007 in svr 2008 3 brands at once.
I mean yeah but at least it’s easier for people who don’t know what they are doing, if it was hard like what old fans liked then it might make new fans try it once and never again which would make its inclusion pointless.
I got right behind 19 for me over the last 7 years, only thing I wish they kept or have the option to bring back is chain wrestling mainly when I be playing universe pretending like it's real life
While I'm pretty disappointed that advanced entrance creations isn't in this game, I am personally glad that you can now freely customize your Career Mode guy or gal as you intend them to look, I HATED the loot crate RNG shite of the past games if the game is supposed to be MyCareer or MyRise or My Sharona or whatever then at least have My Guy/Gal look how I want them to look and act.

This is my first WWE game so take what I say with a grain of salt since I don't really know much about the past games. Honestly though? This is an absolute blast. The attention to detail is amazing and I've spent hours just trying to hear all the different dialog or manger/wrestler interactions in the game. The amount of Easter Eggs and goodies to be found is STAGGERING at that's just in exhibition mode. This honestly feels like the devs said "Here's the entire roaster, make your dreams come true kid." Are there issues? Oh yeah without a doubt, but they don't stop me from just having an absolute blast with the game. Also it lets me throw Vince off of hell in a cell as much as I damn well please and it's practically therapeutic. 10/10 for that alone.
2k22 is actually a good game to be fair, but my god you need to play the older games, SVR 06, 07, and 11, WWE 13 and 2k14, Smackdown Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain, WWF no mercy, and loads more, mainly 07 and here comes the pain though
It crashed on me 3 weeks ago and corrupted my save with 100 custom wrestlers, a bunch of custom arenas and a full stock of custom belts. I deleted it. Didn't even bother replacing the save file.
I really personally enjoy the game a lot most fun I’ve had with a WWE game in awhile. Game is a good base for future games especially the potential I see with their version of GM mode I do prefer the SVR:2007s GM mode I can really get some enjoyment out of their version. The MyRise is nice I do have some nitpick complaints about it but there’s a lot of fun to be have their. I do enjoy the new gameplay it just feels right to me when I play it It’s only recently I’ve been having bug issues with CAWs not loading into entrances with issues when creating championships but other than that it’s been a blast Only issues I have is stuff with formation of tag teams just not working right with their entrances and in MyRise when I win a title I’m only acknowledged as champ and walk out with the title when I’m doing a title defense
It's a small detail, but I wish they would bring back the mouthguard teeth option. I know it wouldn't really be seen, but at least I'd know it was there and it would make sense for some wrestling styles.
Man, I can’t tell you the last time I was still playing a wrestling game a month+ after it released, probably 2k14. But they knocked it out of the park with ‘22. Best one they’ve made in many years.
I recommend you do make a 2k account bc the communication creations are cross platform so you can get some amazing characters and superstars that are technically not supposed to be in the game like the rock from the 2000s
I just wish it was easier to put people thru tables, and have more freedom. The money in the bank match is literally unplayable. I left it running in the background coz I couldn’t win, so I thought I let the AI win to move on - 1hr later no one had still won.
The only gripe with MyRise is quite simply the ending. Because there isn't one. I was hoping for some really big storyline that connects everything to the finale, like a completion reward for the game, y'know? I sorta love and hate the mode for this reason, but that's just me.
they planed a big finaly with bray/the fiend where it takes both of your superstars (male and the female) as you take down bray/fiend and...the sheind? the fuck did they came up with that name? anyway its been cut due to bray being relased...so yup they were lazy jackases and didn't think of another big ending ((punnnnn) or they ran out of time idk but still its a disatisfying end....nail me to the cross but i felt like 2k20 ending was better then this too much?
Universe mode does get a bit stale at times for me ,sometimes I just wish it had some of the elements from my rise in universe mode, sometimes I don't feel like I'm earning anything

When u play Money in the Bank in my rise mode ladders tip over for no reason a lot Then the Money in the Bank storylines in both in the male and female are stupid In the female if you try the heel path and sneak attack Naomi, Charlotte attack your character before the bell ring and then the game take your briefcase away despite the match never start which is stupid In the Male when you face Roman then Kevin Owen sneak into your title match with a second money in the bank briefcase and steal your win everyone know they can’t have two money in the bank briefcases
Oh my god the MITB match in MyRise took so damn long because the ladder physics were beyond fucked at launch and would fall over while we were ALL ON THE OUTSIDE.
I just started playing WWE 2K22, I haven’t played a wrestling game since 2K15, and they overcomplicated the controls. Maybe it’s muscle memory, but I’m old enough to remember that the bumper buttons were what to use when reversing. Granted, it’s taken some time to get used to, but still. MASSIVE improvement to WWE 2K20 though.
Yeah I’ve played since 2k18, the controls are just super complex for no reason. I’m not saying it’s hard, it’s just not as simple as previous games which is annoying.

It's really fun for me. Even when I finished all the stories, I just hang out in my universe and create my own fantasy stories just because how good the characters look.
In 2K22 you can do combos with different wrestlers compared to previous games you have to find out how to do different moves by messed up button mashing instead the same buttons
The game is simple enough for my kids to play (it’s so fun to watch them jump up and down and cheer while they play) and complicated enough for me to enjoy as well. It’s something that we have enjoyed playing together which we couldn’t do w/ 2k20 because the controls were overly complicated, especially the kick out and submission mini games. There are also enough save files to let them have their own. This game is 1,000,000x better than the last one.
Honestly gameplay wise i haven’t enjoyed one like this since 2k14, for me it’s the game modes that disappoint. The showcase is barely a showcase of rey’s great moments. The my rise feels repetitive and has no sense of time. GM mode is still far too restrictive but a good start. However this is genuinely a great step in the right direction
I agree with this. I'm curious what are so.e things to Gm mode that would make it better. I was saying earlier just playing against the computer, I have found myself spending almost 10 minutes on one week of gm mode just trying to perfect that week with what I had. While trying to make sure everyone was happy. Lol if we're adding several more things to it, how much time are we actually trying to spend multi tasking on so many different things at once in one week to make sure ur good weeks ahead of time? I think the player types such as bruiser fighter should be tweaked for more realism. Like a giant should still have a good match or even a great match with a bruiser. But curious to hear what additions would make Gm more fun, but sustainable with the rules set how they are now.

The problem is that the people who like the game are much louder than those that have fair criticisms. Hell, they’re the reason we got this shitty game. People wanted an arcade game after years of whining and boy did they get it. Sadly, we all got it. The combos and clinch system ruin any attempts at simulation.
Yup, completely ruined the game by having all these complicated controls. I'm not an avid gamer, so I don't sit for hours in front of the tv playing games. I just want a nice simple fun game, but i guess making games fun isn't a concern for 2K.
One thing I can admit is I hate how the tables always fall down when you bump into them and I wish they had more DLC but not milk us for it, but besides that this lowkey one of the best wwe game in the last decade
after playing the game for well over a month now i can proudly say that i have had the most fun playing a wwe game since 2k14. the gameplay isn’t broken or slow and the graphics are a massive improvement from 2k20. the only complaints i have for this game is that the game feels a bit watered down at times, like im glad gm mode is back and after the 1.09 patch where they added tag titles ive found myself enjoying the mode a bit more but it still is lackluster if you were to pair it to svr. another small complaint i have is that the roster feels underwhelming with limited legends and alt attires. also out of curiosity who tf plays myfaction
You know 2k23 should bring back road to wrestlemania alongside the career mode to make the replay value it shoud be more like the ones from svr 09-11 to make it actually good Though i would love me some ecw/wcw invasions but its was used before
The only bad thing (for me) about 2K22 is something that isn't even the fault of WWE. It's about AEW signing many wrestlers so many of them will not be in the game. I remember many wrestlers missing because they wrestled for WCW so when WWE bought WCW and they started to include legends you had from 2002 almost all popular wrestlers included (for example SvR 2006 or 2K14 roster).
But with new wrestling shows becoming popular that means in the future 2k will have some type of competition on the wrestling gaming genre side they need it
thats actually 100% wwe. aew doesnt hold rights to its wrestlers, hence why theyre allowed to moonlight in other promotions or visit podcasts using their own name. wwe just doesnt want to let anyone else have a spotlight
I really do like this game but my biggest gripe is the fact that until recently, there was no entrances for the online mode and even now, it’s still bugged and crashes for now. You also can’t use custom arenas online and CAWs don’t have the textures on them if it’s custom so they look different on other peoples screens. Small things tbh but overall this game is a refreshing difference and I with they just add the features moving on.
Agree with everything tho I really enjoy MyGM, yes it's repetitive but now they've added in the tag belts and extra matches a week it's decent. Playing it 2 player as well helps

@@shweeniemccocko2177 I have, and online sucks because it doesn't matter if you are skilled or good, all you gotta do is stun the opponent by either hitting your signature or finisher, and you are able to stun them for 15 seconds, which with the fast pace of the game, makes it easy to hit your opponent with 1 signature, and 3 finishers in a row and there won't be a goddamn thing the opponent can do about unless they got resiliency, but guess what? Even if you have resiliency, all the opponent has to do is pin you immediately after, and you'll still lose regardless. 2K19 and even 2K20 online required a certain level of skill in order to both fairly kickout, reverse, and even limit reversals were more fair than stunning cause you CHOSE when to use them, stunning can happen at any time in a match, and all your opponent has to do after you kicked their ass for 5 minutes is reverse, hit you with 2-4 normal moves and or strikes, and hit their finisher twice in a row. No skill, and it's all because they thought stunning and the braindead button mashing pin system equals more "fun".
Oh yeah with the new update tag champions are added in gm mode and women’s tag champs as well and u can have more matches as well so u have a little bit more variety in the mode
Presentation is awesome, and the game can be a total blast to play It's just a buggy mess that needs a ton of work I think a lot of initial reviewers were just blinded by the fact that it was better than 2k20, but that's an incredibly low bar to set This game has everything minor graphical glitches, to gameplay affecting glitches, to downright broken systems that cause hard crashing This latest update has completely corrupted and deleted people save data, and totally broke the game on PC for a lot of people
Only really had a few problems with 2k22 like that they stripped some pretty fun features for basically no reason. Like you can't jump from the top of the ladder to the outside of the ring anymore, no leaning ladders on the ropes and running out of the ring, and so on. Universe mode was also broken as fuck when I played it, you would often be put into mirror matches with your own superstar or have to fight in matches that you aren't even apart of. Also felt the create an entrance feature lacked a lot, like you have HHH and HBK but no option for the DX theme (But there is the option for the DX walkout) so if you try to create the tag team it just looks weird, same for Evolution.
The way 2K could have made it better is too work out all bugs or errors detections and add like what story comes next after winning 🏆 or losing a championship after a while I got bored cause I just drop the belt to someone with the universal title and win it back weeks or days later

The promo system they had in 17 and 18 was garbage, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t have tried something better.

I have 2k22, and have not put it down since playing it. Being a person who was stuck playing 2k19 because I avoided 2k20, I could not wait to get my hands on it, and honestly any issues I've had have been so minor, I don't even remember what they were. I just enjoy it!

2k19 was the first WWE game I had played since the 2000s and I just couldn't bond with it. Countering an opponent seemed difficult to me, and kicking out of a pin seemed unnecessarily difficult.

While there is definitely room for improvement. Specifically with weapons, tables and ladders. The MyRise mode for me is my go-to. I've made Glass Joe a Cruiserweight champion and had him dominate every roster he's been on. It shows a lot of work was put into that mode, but things like MyFaction and MyGM were tacked on and felt too much like those Fifa card collection games we've seen time and time again. I understand that's where the big profits come from, but I wish it was gone all together.
I do like the new updates they've added though. Like the NXT 2.0 arena and the Banzai pack with 5 new characters.
To me, while it's not the BEST WWE game. To me that's SvR 2011, it's a new direction with the series that doesn't completely reinvent the wheel; but more so tries to smooth it out.

I liked myrise but it just got super boring after I made it to the second brand, same stuff over and over again and I just stopped playing.

This is the comedy that I subscribed for.
It feels like the old PS2 games in a whole lot of ways. Sadly it's also got the same issues, like running attacks missing, hit detection with weapons can be terrible and springboard & toprope moves are a bloody gamble, while the AI has a heatseeking version of them...
However, it IS a very fun game overall and I'm convinced it would be best if development sticks to a 2 year rhythm from now on. Just like so many other games would profit of.
No where near compared to the ps2 boy, you can't throw off people off on hell in the cell, its so weird, I just miss the destruction from the ps2 games, everything is so weird in 2k22, and besides I miss making really cool entrance and adding my owns songs downloaded from the ps3 onto the entrance and so much more, this is not it 2k22 fell off

One thing I have yet to understand is why, when you're facing the AI, it sometimes stays down for the 3 after only getting a body part into yellow and hitting a signature but sometimes it's in red and you hit a finisher and they kick out.

@@deathcon6261 oh ok I know what ur talking about. Although It still not an answer to wat op said. What he/she is saying is that the A.I is not consistent when kicking out of a pin. They'll kick out of finisher all day long but hit them with a signature that turns a body part yellow and they down for the count.
The GM Mode recently added tag belts for men and women in a patch as well as more match booking slots on normal shows. While I don't expect the depth from 07-08 I'm confident that 2K wouldn't have added those things to MyGM if they weren't willing to listen to feedback for improvement.

I'm still playing 2k19 and having fun in universe with raw smackdown WCW 205 live with minor shows main event and Wcw thunder universe is much better than 2k22 and matches flowed better instead of being repetitive.

I really like MyRise a lot, but there were two things that put me off about it:
1. There’s only one voice actor for men and one for women. If you wanted to play a black, white, Asian, or any other kind of superstar for men, you just need to break the immersion and accept the fact you’ll have the voice of a Hispanic man. I’m not saying to have a super detailed voice system, just have like other video games have and get like 3-5 voices to choose from. Yeah yeah yeah I get it you have to pay that many voice actors for all the lines in the game, but 2K has the budget.
2. And this one is way more major-being a champion feels meaningless in the game outside of the storylines in which you get them. You will be listed as champion under the “Champions” tab, but that’s about it. You don’t come to any matches with the belt, you don’t get announced as the champion anywhere. It’s like you never became champion. I remember beating Roman Reigns for the Universal title, then going and getting the storyline done for the IC title as well. I expected there to be some storyline or dialogue at the GM’s office about how I had to choose one title to vacate because I couldn’t hold two singles titles at the same time, but nope. Nothing. Even 2k19 had you take the Universal title everywhere with you after the main story.
I don’t mean to go on about it, but in a mode that I genuinely have a lot of fun in and enjoy immersing myself in a lot, that part feels EXTRA bad to me.
Yeah at least in SvR 08 there was 5 voices to choice from all different. I don’t have this game yet cuz next gen console is 80 bucks still don’t think it’s that worth

I’m glad someone else noticed that, I was expecting like a belt chasing storyline maybe after I got both belts on one brand but nothing, it’s never mentioned it doesn’t matter an ounce outside of the generic “defend the belt” matches. I wish there was something grander behind the story, like a big overarching main storyline and the other minor story’s could’ve been used as side missions

Wwe22 is by far the best wrestling game in awhile. the pace is awesome you can gas it and finish someone off quick or take your time for a more grind feel also I’m getting a good number of matches in a short time frame online and hours can pass by bc it’s that engaging.
They just need to stay down longer when taking powermoves, I can never hit a top rope dive because my opponent decides to get up almost immediately after taking a powerbomb or DDT.

With MyRise i think it lacks continuity and they just ignore connecting storylines. One day you are IC Champion, the next your competing for the Universal Title without being mentioned as IC Champ. One day your US Champion but then you receive a text where Tozawa pretends to be Vince to send you to a chosen location by him and attacks you for the 24 title you won way before

I'll give 2K the credit they deserve, because they do keep adding to the GM mode with various patches, most recently the tag titles. I'm hoping they give us the United States and Intercontinental titles. Hopefully add Royal Rumble too as a PPV since that is missing. So, i do hope 2K does keep listening to fan feedback as they've been really good with it and improving the game more to have a good replay value and be worth the money it is. I've personally enjoyed 22 a lot and its fast pace action since high flyers are exactly that, you do run out of stamina too i've noticed, even if you don't see the meter at the bottom, you do see the blue circle going red or empty. So, it is there.

This game has been a big improvement. Personally it's just little things I wish they'd implement. I don't like the control scheme for grappling the 2k19 system of just direction and X is way simpler and flows a bit better for matches. Certain moves can feel a bit stiff.
For caw stuff bring back advanced entrance even if it's a smaller version like in 2k15, and bring back full body customization. If I want a 5'2 obese man the size of Nickacado yet weigh to be a cruiserweight let me have that. Not the pre defined bodies that may not work for every caw type.
For My Rise I'd just add like an internal time tracker so you can see how much in game time has passed, giving you urgency do I want a main roster debut right off the bat or do I wanna spend a year in developmental doing the other objectives. Currently it just feels like a jumble of this happened and then this and this, peppering in little news bits from other shows to show a whole little world passing by.
Your absolutely right dude I feel older games should carry the amount of nostalgia and details choices etc but that’s what the devs don’t get just cause it’s old doesn’t mean we don’t love it anymore I wish I could go back and play the old WWE games and not these broken ones.

My gm is too easy seriously you can pass it with low card superstars and have only 2 brands at on time no intercontinental title they had to patch in the tag titles svr 07 and 08 has a better gm mode although it was a harder it was realistic with mid card tag and world championships and pre shows in svr 2007 in svr 2008 3 brands at once.
I mean yeah but at least it’s easier for people who don’t know what they are doing, if it was hard like what old fans liked then it might make new fans try it once and never again which would make its inclusion pointless.

While I'm pretty disappointed that advanced entrance creations isn't in this game, I am personally glad that you can now freely customize your Career Mode guy or gal as you intend them to look, I HATED the loot crate RNG shite of the past games if the game is supposed to be MyCareer or MyRise or My Sharona or whatever then at least have My Guy/Gal look how I want them to look and act.
One of my biggest gripes with this game is you can't do body morphing or customization any more

This is my first WWE game so take what I say with a grain of salt since I don't really know much about the past games. Honestly though? This is an absolute blast. The attention to detail is amazing and I've spent hours just trying to hear all the different dialog or manger/wrestler interactions in the game. The amount of Easter Eggs and goodies to be found is STAGGERING at that's just in exhibition mode. This honestly feels like the devs said "Here's the entire roaster, make your dreams come true kid." Are there issues? Oh yeah without a doubt, but they don't stop me from just having an absolute blast with the game. Also it lets me throw Vince off of hell in a cell as much as I damn well please and it's practically therapeutic. 10/10 for that alone.
2k22 is actually a good game to be fair, but my god you need to play the older games, SVR 06, 07, and 11, WWE 13 and 2k14, Smackdown Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain, WWF no mercy, and loads more, mainly 07 and here comes the pain though
Impossible to play on ps4 it crashes every 5 minutes
It crashed on me 3 weeks ago and corrupted my save with 100 custom wrestlers, a bunch of custom arenas and a full stock of custom belts. I deleted it. Didn't even bother replacing the save file.

I really personally enjoy the game a lot most fun I’ve had with a WWE game in awhile. Game is a good base for future games especially the potential I see with their version of GM mode I do prefer the SVR:2007s GM mode I can really get some enjoyment out of their version. The MyRise is nice I do have some nitpick complaints about it but there’s a lot of fun to be have their. I do enjoy the new gameplay it just feels right to me when I play it
It’s only recently I’ve been having bug issues with CAWs not loading into entrances with issues when creating championships but other than that it’s been a blast
Only issues I have is stuff with formation of tag teams just not working right with their entrances and in MyRise when I win a title I’m only acknowledged as champ and walk out with the title when I’m doing a title defense
I love watching this video couple of times, and now with WWE 2K23 on the horizon, I really can't wait for Alex's review of the game
It's a small detail, but I wish they would bring back the mouthguard teeth option. I know it wouldn't really be seen, but at least I'd know it was there and it would make sense for some wrestling styles.

The only gripe with MyRise is quite simply the ending. Because there isn't one. I was hoping for some really big storyline that connects everything to the finale, like a completion reward for the game, y'know? I sorta love and hate the mode for this reason, but that's just me.

I just started playing WWE 2K22, I haven’t played a wrestling game since 2K15, and they overcomplicated the controls. Maybe it’s muscle memory, but I’m old enough to remember that the bumper buttons were what to use when reversing. Granted, it’s taken some time to get used to, but still. MASSIVE improvement to WWE 2K20 though.
Yeah I’ve played since 2k18, the controls are just super complex for no reason. I’m not saying it’s hard, it’s just not as simple as previous games which is annoying.
I actually love the stamina bar, makes for realistic moves after so long.

It's really fun for me. Even when I finished all the stories, I just hang out in my universe and create my own fantasy stories just because how good the characters look.
In 2K22 you can do combos with different wrestlers compared to previous games you have to find out how to do different moves by messed up button mashing instead the same buttons
The game is simple enough for my kids to play (it’s so fun to watch them jump up and down and cheer while they play) and complicated enough for me to enjoy as well. It’s something that we have enjoyed playing together which we couldn’t do w/ 2k20 because the controls were overly complicated, especially the kick out and submission mini games. There are also enough save files to let them have their own. This game is 1,000,000x better than the last one.
Honestly gameplay wise i haven’t enjoyed one like this since 2k14, for me it’s the game modes that disappoint.
The showcase is barely a showcase of rey’s great moments.
The my rise feels repetitive and has no sense of time.
GM mode is still far too restrictive but a good start.

I agree with this. I'm curious what are so.e things to Gm mode that would make it better. I was saying earlier just playing against the computer, I have found myself spending almost 10 minutes on one week of gm mode just trying to perfect that week with what I had. While trying to make sure everyone was happy. Lol if we're adding several more things to it, how much time are we actually trying to spend multi tasking on so many different things at once in one week to make sure ur good weeks ahead of time? I think the player types such as bruiser fighter should be tweaked for more realism. Like a giant should still have a good match or even a great match with a bruiser. But curious to hear what additions would make Gm more fun, but sustainable with the rules set how they are now.

People wanted an arcade game after years of whining and boy did they get it. Sadly, we all got it. The combos and clinch system ruin any attempts at simulation.

Yup, completely ruined the game by having all these complicated controls. I'm not an avid gamer, so I don't sit for hours in front of the tv playing games. I just want a nice simple fun game, but i guess making games fun isn't a concern for 2K.
One thing I can admit is I hate how the tables always fall down when you bump into them and I wish they had more DLC but not milk us for it, but besides that this lowkey one of the best wwe game in the last decade
after playing the game for well over a month now i can proudly say that i have had the most fun playing a wwe game since 2k14. the gameplay isn’t broken or slow and the graphics are a massive improvement from 2k20.
the only complaints i have for this game is that the game feels a bit watered down at times, like im glad gm mode is back and after the 1.09 patch where they added tag titles ive found myself enjoying the mode a bit more but it still is lackluster if you were to pair it to svr. another small complaint i have is that the roster feels underwhelming with limited legends and alt attires.

The only bad thing (for me) about 2K22 is something that isn't even the fault of WWE. It's about AEW signing many wrestlers so many of them will not be in the game. I remember many wrestlers missing because they wrestled for WCW so when WWE bought WCW and they started to include legends you had from 2002 almost all popular wrestlers included (for example SvR 2006 or 2K14 roster).
But with new wrestling shows becoming popular that means in the future 2k will have some type of competition on the wrestling gaming genre side they need it
thats actually 100% wwe. aew doesnt hold rights to its wrestlers, hence why theyre allowed to moonlight in other promotions or visit podcasts using their own name. wwe just doesnt want to let anyone else have a spotlight
I really do like this game but my biggest gripe is the fact that until recently, there was no entrances for the online mode and even now, it’s still bugged and crashes for now. You also can’t use custom arenas online and CAWs don’t have the textures on them if it’s custom so they look different on other peoples screens. Small things tbh but overall this game is a refreshing difference and I with they just add the features moving on.

I played WWE 2007, 2008, and 2009. Is this WWE 2022 worth trying it? Is it somewhat similar to those three? Thanks I almost die with Joe Rogan at the end hahaha
The amount of people that love this game or think it's good is staggering, I guess lots of people like the taste of shit.
To be fair, if only one or two studio are making a certain genre of game, WWE fans are going to flock to whatever's available.

@@shweeniemccocko2177 I have, and online sucks because it doesn't matter if you are skilled or good, all you gotta do is stun the opponent by either hitting your signature or finisher, and you are able to stun them for 15 seconds, which with the fast pace of the game, makes it easy to hit your opponent with 1 signature, and 3 finishers in a row and there won't be a goddamn thing the opponent can do about unless they got resiliency, but guess what? Even if you have resiliency, all the opponent has to do is pin you immediately after, and you'll still lose regardless. 2K19 and even 2K20 online required a certain level of skill in order to both fairly kickout, reverse, and even limit reversals were more fair than stunning cause you CHOSE when to use them, stunning can happen at any time in a match, and all your opponent has to do after you kicked their ass for 5 minutes is reverse, hit you with 2-4 normal moves and or strikes, and hit their finisher twice in a row. No skill, and it's all because they thought stunning and the braindead button mashing pin system equals more "fun".
Oh yeah with the new update tag champions are added in gm mode and women’s tag champs as well and u can have more matches as well so u have a little bit more variety in the mode
Presentation is awesome, and the game can be a total blast to play

I think a lot of initial reviewers were just blinded by the fact that it was better than 2k20, but that's an incredibly low bar to set
This game has everything minor graphical glitches, to gameplay affecting glitches, to downright broken systems that cause hard crashing
This latest update has completely corrupted and deleted people save data, and totally broke the game on PC for a lot of people
Only really had a few problems with 2k22 like that they stripped some pretty fun features for basically no reason. Like you can't jump from the top of the ladder to the outside of the ring anymore, no leaning ladders on the ropes and running out of the ring, and so on. Universe mode was also broken as fuck when I played it, you would often be put into mirror matches with your own superstar or have to fight in matches that you aren't even apart of. Also felt the create an entrance feature lacked a lot, like you have HHH and HBK but no option for the DX theme (But there is the option for the DX walkout) so if you try to create the tag team it just looks weird, same for Evolution.
Yes it does and it's inferior to WWE 2K19 in literally every aspect.
My main annoyance is the mix tag match and how the male superstar breaks up a pin involving the females. Pisses me off.

Wwe 2k22 is honestly the most fun I had playing a Wwe 2k game in a long time
The way 2K could have made it better is too work out all bugs or errors detections and add like what story comes next after winning 🏆 or losing a championship after a while I got bored cause I just drop the belt to someone with the universal title and win it back weeks or days later
There is a lot to do on 2k22 from story mode to gm mode only thing that's bad is the lack of new matches and Universe
