I’m 70 and I stopped coloring my hair in 2020 and also decided to go natural. It was a huge change for me. My story is too long to put in this comment section but I’m never going back. I’m retired and have a retail management background. I love the clothes, makeup, the sassy looks and I receive so many compliments. This video is so true it’s a change, it’s a life style, a way of saying I’m ready for the next step and thank God for his goodness. Don’t give up or get discouraged you can do it👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️🙏🏾

I love this for you because it's def easier & less costly on the maintenance end of things. When I'm 80-90% grey I'll move that way. I'm 47 and right now I'm about 5% grey so I have a ways to go and will enjoy my low maintenance color options til then. When I was behind the chair I'd encourage my clients who were mostly grey to just embrace it and stop coloring. It's beautiful, easier and healthier overall!

It's OK to stumble. Ppl can and might have many "false starts". Everyone's gray transition is different.@@gograybechic

I started graying at 17 years. I remember using Ms Clairol's Blue Black! As I got older I used various other colors, ash blond mixed with brown. Fast forward to my mid 30's & my hair dresser at the time said either I want color or I want hair! I finally let the color go & have never looked back!

I stopped coloring my hair at the end of April 2024 and it feels so free. I had been coloring my hair for 25 years. Right now im deciding of I will big chop or just gradually grow it out.

@@gograybechic Thank you, I've been sticking with it 🙂 Yes, I have had short hair many times. But it has been over 10 years since my last shirt style, right now my hair is almost butt length, so I'm having a hard time deciding.

I stopped coloring my gray hair 2 years ago at age 68, and I've never been happier. I saw an actress on tv with dyed black hair and she was about 75,and I said no one that age has jet black hair, it looked unnatural. The same way I felt about my dyed hair. My hair is now thriving, not breaking off retaining length and even thicker with my conditioning methods. The best decison I ever made.

I'm gray and considering a very short, flat. straight look which means a perm. Will the perm turn my beautiful gray yellow? I have been natural for many years but want a softer look.

Thanks sis for watching. My hair is relaxed. And it’s really all about the products you use and how the hair is maintained. I don’t use heat in my hair at all. There is a relaxer video you can watch that’ll help as well 👇🏾it can be done sis just some steps/products that are needed to properly maintain the look.

I have very dry thick moderately long natural hair. I’ve just attempted a color correction due to a really ugly color on my ends ( some of it yellowed and greenish colored)
I would like to get a very good cut (short) to start a big chop process
If I come to Chicago and make an appointment with you what would be my approximate cost for the cut???

    • @gograybechic

Email me at support@ggbchic.com I’ll look at for it. Put CUT in the subject line

Yes, absolutely, it will!! 🙏🏾 For some that is one of the main reason they go gray.

I love my gray hair, 100%

I am 48, 60% grey! I stopped coloring my hair at 42. I have been grey since I was in my late 20s. I colored my hair for at least 10 years. I woke up after a surgical procedure and ever looked back. The hard part is the ageism that accompanies your decision to embrace ALL OF YOU. Sticking to it tho....you can "ma'am" me ALL DAY! LOL.
