This is an ongoing series of coin hunting where I sort through $2 coins looking for all the commemorative coins issued for circulation since the introduction of the $2 coin in 1988.

G'day Phil, a great hunt and cool coin news, nice bunch of corporate coins, the 2016 Rio coin is the pick of the hunt for me and should clean up ok, my last 14 roll $2 hunt returned a gold poppy, Dorothy, 2016 changeover and an Ambo coin, I hear on the grapevine that there are $2 Olympic & Paralympic coins coming out soon through Aussie Post and Woollies. Getting hard to find coloured and low mintage..
I was sooo lucky the other day,i got 5 colour coins,3 change overs and a 2019 jc out of $200 of $2 coins,,very happy 😊

Well Phil you certainly done better than me today out $550 all i found was a commonwealth games A and U and i tossed them back got too many now. The green ring olympic looked pretty average would have been a good pickup in nice condition. Found another one of those 2024 AFLW $1 today not much else worth mentioning. 🙏🙏

Yep the green ring 2016 was very ordinary.
I haven't seen any of the 2024 AFL coins yet. Couple of AFLW though,
Still not bad, we just did $300 of $2 coins, not one colour…. One changeover $2 but that was it.

A pity the green Olympic coin was dirty. Not the best results but there is always next time.

Too much Branding for a national coin I think..
In one roll I found two LWF war graves in excellent condition . I also pulled two police, a mosaic and various corporate $2 coloured coins. So in sa the Ram releases are still out there.
