Great video man. Idk what video it was that you mentioned the drag that you experienced with stainless steel razors but boy you are spot on about the drag. I got my first SS razor the Hawk V3 and man it's a pretty good razor but the SS makes it kindof stick to my face instead of smoothly gliding across my face. I put more pressure while shaving and didn't have the best shave. I learning to live with it but I'm definitely going to think twice before getting a modern SS razor.

Nice review HD! I used a level 1 Sabre for a bit, and while it was a smooth shaver, not quite efficient enough for me. Like you somewhat touched on, I prefer the vintage GEM razors more than their modern variants. Also, SBS base is a sleeper! Definately up there with all the other modern "top tier" soaps.

I definitely had some interest in that soap. Sounds like a good one. I still need to try that Sabre some day. Love the look of it plus I wanna support the modern gem razors.

Hi JB, I really like the vintage GEMs because they're so cheap and effective (easy to use). The vintage novelty is a big plus for me too. To me a person has nothing to lose if they've never tried a vintage GEM before. Cheers
