Broke into tears. My husband went through the same situation. His bike collided with a car, was in a coma for 10days. He has an impairment of the brain, had to go for speech theraphy and rehabilitation for 3mths. At least he can take care of himself but the brain never heals when a part of it is missing. I'm all with the mother in this movie. If this is a true story, his recovery is a miracle. My husband still limps and is not himself even after more than 10yrs.
DRUNK DRIVERS destroy lives. What about the victims - he has to learn to live again. Beggars believe the lawyer is standing up for this guy who showed no remorse & spent 9 months out of a 2 year jail sentence. Just because they had money & they were on "the board" of the hospital - they were just as guilty as the son instead of getting him help. The guy doesn't deserve forgiveness - his tears were pathetic. If he was that sorry - did he NOT LEARN his lesson the after the 1st time & why didn't he make the apology of his own free will at the beginning?
I can't stand Meredith's character in this movie or any of her roles.. her characters are always extra dramatic and negative. Controlling and bitchy... in Family Ties she was puritanical and judgmental. 😝...nope .. i don't like her.
It's your perogitive whether you like / don't like the actress. WHY did you watch the movie then if "her character is always dramatic & negative". DRUNK DRIVERS DESTROY LIVES. This is a true story - not just a made up movie. What about the victim - her son and her family - she was FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE for them. Was she supposed to sit back, do nothing & accept the situation 😡🤐? It's a good job they were a strong family & came out of it together at the end. The law has now been changed to driving under the influence of drugs & prescribed medication to this category.
