Feels like ages since you post something. Happy to have some new materials to rock on, Felipe. Thank you! (And don't apologize. You don't owe your followers anything. Life is way more important out of internet. But you already know that). Cheers!
Great video with a nice beat. Do you deaden the tapa for recording? I have good mics (SM57 & B52) but get way too much ring from the tapa on my B52. I see other players deaden their tapas. Do you? If not, how do you control the amount of ring from the tapa in your recordings? I play a Meinl Artisan. Thank you!
I don't. I use the same mics as you and some compressor on logic. My room is a bit dry, this is why the sound is short and dry. To be honest I miss a bit of resonance :) If you want more control and look for a dry sound I recommend you to try the plug-in from waves - CLA-drums.
Love this groove! A little technique question. I just kind of noticed that you play the bass notes a bit lower on the cajon with the left hand than the right. Is this a conscious decision? If so, how is this an advantage? Thanks so much again for your vids! I've learned much from you =)

@@CajonMaster Thanks! I will check that out. How do you place your B52? Inside the sound hole or back from it?
