    this is a great video and shows exactly the benefits of a good power board, thanks for showing this

    Nice video thanks for posting! At what size of airplane do you decide its time to install one of these? 1/4 scale and bigger maybe?

      I don't know that there is a general breaking point on the need for a system like this. I started using this and other safety systems like redundant batteries in planes that cost me enough to make the thought of it failing and going splat made me want to hurl.

      @@flyingrcdotnet OK I get it it! It’s based on the hurl factor. The higher the hurl factor the more likely you are too use the power expander. They should use that factor in their advertising 😀🤔🤣

    Wow, what a difference.

    Great video, with this system, would I be able to use my DX6 gen 3? Looking to get an Extreme flight 85" extra and I don't want to get another radio. Thanks.

    Hi. Did you make those switch panels or are they available somewhere?

      www.flyingrc.net/smrtflysportpro.html I alwaysx have a page on my site about the videos so I can include more links etc. Those switches are iff the shelf at the same company that makes the Smart-Fly, called their super switch there is a ink to their site at the end of the Review

    What servos are you running? There torque rating may be low.

      HiTec HS-5565MH and they have more torque (200in/lbs) than Aeroworks calls for, if they are on 7.4V which is what the problem was. You can see in the video that the problem is fixed, same servos.

      Ok cool. I was running the 7985MG's on 6.6V Lifes and never had blow back on the ailerons surprisingly.

    I'm just curious, what exactly is wrong in your original set up, how does a servo stall when there is raw 2s power supplied to it

      I had dialed in overload protection in the servos in another plane, forgot that and in this plane the aerodynamics were stalling the servos at that lower power. Took out the overload protection, made sure my wiring was up to snuff and all was better. I am sometimes doing just too many things at once at times when video needs to be done.

    Hello. How are you charging the power expander batteries? You are using lipos.. do they work with the charge ports on the failsafe switches?

    • @flyingrcdotnet
      @flyingrcdotnet  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The batteries are easily accessible so I unplug them and charge directly with my ICharger. I've never had an issue between LiPo's and components rated for their voltage.

      Thanks. Good to hear. I just received the smartfly system for my 50cc. Starting to install it this week.
