i honestly felt so bad for SS Warriorz. They only got to do one elimination dance battle. If they had 8 crews, SS Warriorz couldve done another elimination battle (if they placed low in an artist mission which they didnt include in SWF Vietnam). Also cause I remember Ballineez saying that she wanted to dance more after this megacrew mission which now they couldnt do. They were such a chill crew too. The odds just weren't really in their favour in this challenge.

TOTALLY AGREE!! and it’s Street Dance for crying out loud, all the crews deserve to have more chances to showcase what they’re specialized in. but i’m still proud because outside of this show they’re still insanely talented dancers as they have already won so many different competitions. i have so much love and respect for them 😭 and tysm for pointing this out!

(Obviously, this is a tv show and we are only shown certain things. I'm sure the other dancers were just as nice without the editing 😂)

Okay, so some background context as to why Oops rank drops from 1 to 4. C2 Low posted a story about his shock towards the final result shown in the episode; basically, the time that the audience in theatres got to see all 5 Mega Crews was also the time when the mission ranks (I don't remember what it's called) aired. Now remember, at that time, oops was getting a lot of hate and backlash for their skills, especially Do Linh, the leader. So that's why the audience score was not close to the judge's score.
P.s: Again, not blaming the audience, I just blame Madison for the way they established this kind of situation.

I still gonna side eye the audience. I'm sorry but if they ask which crew PERFORMANCE is my favorite, I cant disregard the performance and just solely voted for my favorite crew. I LOVE FED let be clear, i wanted them to win. but there is no way to disregard the amazing performance of OOPS. It is like the megacrew of SWF2, Jam Republic did AMAZING like FED, but 1M did slightly better and deserve that win for the mega crew challenge. Sorry for ranting, but I hate audience voting bc of biases.

"Now remember, at that time, oops was getting a lot of hate and backlash for their skills, especially Do Linh, the leader. So that's why the audience score was not close to the judge's score."
-> I'm sorry but it's your assumption (we never know the truth unless we make a legit survey to ask all offline voters why they voted like that), so can you give it as a personal opinion rather than a general fact?
I see many offline voters leave comments on FB explaining critically why they voted for other groups, and it's not because they hate oops at all. People have different tastes, you know. For example, my brother's rank as a normal viewer (he knows none of the dancers and ofc have no bias towards any) was FED> Sofire > HNXG > SSW > Oops.

@@anhlam5681 first of all, let have a nice discussion instead of insinuating things. Idk what Facebook you were looking at but TH-cam proved why FED and OOPS are the fan favorites by the overwhelmingly amount of views. Yes, theirs were released early but the margin was big. OOPS currently sat at over 210K views, even with half of that, they still have more views and like than that if HXG and So Fire (at 60K). Even if you triple the amount of views that they have, it is still less than that of OOPS. Also, to add on, SSWarriors got released a week early too but theirs were at 96K views. As your brother ranking, we don’t know if it is true or not as he can be influenced by your bias. Just like your whole comment. Everything is a speculation, the original comment was correlating to why OOPS public score was lowered despite the judges and many others unanimously agree that OOPS was better than that of the other groups, even Jess said that OOPS and FED should be close in their scorings for example. You can respectfully disagree with the speculation to why, but you don’t have to be so defensive toward your views. Also, whether you like it or not, bias is common in audience voting. It have been a thing of why people get mad at MNet as audiences tends to vote for the more popular groups (why do you think Jam Republic picked to fight against Lady Bounce and not 1Million, and no, it is a speculation as they said in the show that it is bc ladybounce was not popular). Yes, everyone can vote how they want to, but it is also true that biases can play in the role of voting.

I don't know if anyone explained to you before but the two Vietnamese judge also receive backlash from our country as well. To give you context, Hari is Vietnamese - Korean, now she lived in Vietnam and is a singer, she has no experience on dance whatsoever, most of us think that the only reason she being the judge is that she can translate for the Korean judge and that's it. So I wish you shouldn't stress over her opinions that much because they are pretty invalid.
DLA (the girl with the white ribbon) is actually a dancer and is one of the pioneer B-girl in Vietnam so she does have experience in dancing. However, the problem with her is that she stopped her dancing career for another career around the 2000s and only return to the dance scene recently. Therefore, some of her takes about dancing and judging maybe outdated and don't fit the modern criteria anymore.
All in all, I hope you don't value their opinions too much or simly ignore them as it really make the video feel pretty negative seeing you stressing over them. I think hearing more of your opinions about the dancer and the other judge would be better. (Sr for my broken English but I hope you can understand my point, I really like your analysis).

I watch your reacts and analyses every week. It gives me interesting insight from a professional view and I've learnt about dancing more than ever before. Even though I don't understand all of the technical stuffs you mention, I can see that you judge the teams' performance in a very critical way, and I appreciate it a lot.
When it comes to this episode, many VNese followers thought that it's not fair that Oops ranked 4th overall and that they should be in higher position because their performance was clearly better than other groups (some even used the word "outplayed"). On the other side, many thought that FED's performance was "safe" and even "bad". I understand these followers judge based on their own taste and set of values, but how could Oops's performance "outplay" others', and how could FED's performance be "bad"? It made me confused a lot.
I'm just a normal viewer with no background in dancing but after I watched all the performances, I had the same feeling and opinion as you. And after I watched your reacts and analyses, I completely agree with all the comments you gave on the performances, and also the critical reactions to the judge's comment. Like what?? Of course, they have power to give scores, but their explanation on how they gave scores wasn't persuasive to me at all. Urggghhh.
P/s: no hate to any group, I just don't agree with the judge and some viewers. The girl are all hard-working dancers and they definitely put their heart and soul into the performances. Love them all!

Thank you so much for reacting and giving us many great feedbacks/knowledge in the world of professional/annual of street battle scenery in the US.
As a Vietnamese I have known dancers in VN just need more chances to showcase more cause we love music and any arts that revolves around it, and of course the growth to this still considered a "niche" career. The dancing community has been lowkey but steadily bulding up an environment that is free and comfortable for anyone that wants to join, so if you can, pls come and experience it. And yeah as frustrated as how the show format is, they did bring attention to VN, so can't blame them too much. IRL HNxG and FED have real beef, but definitely they're still respectfull toward one another, not such childish portrait on a TV show.

I didn’t intend to share my thought but I felt so frustrated watching the 2 mega crew episodes that i have to say it out loud (so sorry for my babbles)
    1. In short, i want to scream to the face of the show that
    - No criteria, judging on personal feeling
    - Everything is edited by producers
    - This is a show, definitely scripted
    - Judging dance groups should just be about factors that relate to dance
    * My rank:
    1. FED (overall is good i just thing they should choose another song)
    2. SSW (great vibe, they made me feel that they moved interestingly and i want to be able to move like them)
    3. Other group are at equal position:
OOPS (video shooting is beautiful and music is catchy)
HNXG (great idea but transition is too quick and no time to breathe)
SF (catchy music, nothing stay in my head)

      2. These are things that feel ridiculous to me:
      - praised SSW for showing their color and when FED do what they do best = showing their color, FED receive complaints about playing safe 😒
      - Said SSW adding dancing techniques is good but then said too many techniques = predictable :)))
      - Praised OOPS and SF for having many interesting formations but said that FED was too busy making formations and didnt say much about HNXG’s formation
      - OOPS receive many compliments about beautiful and effective filming angle and background etc,. Although all groups got to be in charge on set but they didn’t make the final video and didn’t even allowed to watch it before hand. (And to be honest, we only got to see what the producer wanted to show us so they can make bad video from NG sources)
      - The part HW talked about FED’s concept not clearly show, she said tht only bc she understands the VNese lyrics so she persume the concept is about women deciding their own fate. I think FED used the song just bc of its popularity, as a strategy popular song = more view more like. And for the message, female dance having strong dance moves = confident, powerful, fierce women. Is that too hard to understand? And what part in OOPS’s dance moves show Vietnam or is it bc of the music, what part in SF’s dance moves show firefighters or is it bc of the uniform?
      - Complaint FED about playing safe but said that other group is doing good showing their color :)))) I mean you want FED to break dancing or doing ballet or what to be consider not playing safe =)))))

Basically Vitden is the leader and founder of the original HanoiXgirl (the one taking part in the show is only a part of that crew), of which Chec and Co of FED used to be members. There has been lots of tension between these two crews since Chec and Co left HanoiXgirl and founded their own crew, FED. In the first episode, HNXG was said to be too dependent on Vitden and heavily influenced by his style. So in the practice scene for the Mega Crew mission, these was one moment when Vitden appeared in the studio, constantly commented and directly gave instructions for the dancers on behalf of Env, who is supposed to take the lead. Even one staff of the show had to come and reminded the girls to work on the performance by themselves instead of Vitden, just like the other 4 crews were trying. Because of that, they got lots of criticism from the audiences for depending too much on their leader, and many people sarcastically said that Vitden is a secret member of the team in the show who helped them a lot in previous challenges.
That's what's happened. Personally I don't know the truth behind the scene as it was only a 2-minute scene in the episode.

@@IsaacLalremruata hey there! Thank you for taking the time to watch and provide feedback. Regarding my analysis, I come from a HHI background of judging where we measure all of the things you mentioned. I agree certain skills they provide have a difficulty based on the demand of authenticity within the culture, but when I say average or below average, I speak on the phrasing of the choreography where they don’t deviate from the basic fundamental within either musicality, dynamics, complexity, etc. I apologize if my feedback was deemed bias where that is not my intention but please remember that I am human and will continue to grow as such. I believe they should have scored in the upper percentile and I also would like to note that I didn’t technically rank any of the crews in any particular order due to the sheer subjectiveness of the show and how it was scored. If you haven’t already done so, I would love it if you took the time to watch my analysis of their actual mega crew set (I’m not sure if you have since this is the episode so I don’t know! ) and hear my feedback there. Looking forward to seeing them in the next episode!
