Hey Crendor, Low Tide applies to your units unless they have charged, the restriction is so that you don’t get the buffs if you charge a pinning piece into your opponent’s army during Low Tide.
It's odd wording but yes -- Idoneth Low Tide is meant to defend them against a turn 1 alpha strike (either by shooting or melee) -- unless they themselves are attempting said turn 1 alpha

They seem to have transferred over mostly intact, just translated to the new core mechanics + some role specialization

Akhelian Beastmasters --- spam sharks (and a few shield eels to hold objectives)
Sad skip for Fyreslayers who honestly look great, really want to try them in the Spearhead format at least!

It seems they are extremely mobile and extremely fragile, nothing new. Losing the Forgotten Nightmares ability hurts tho imo
