A Malaysian open house is an opportunity for everyone to appreciate the friendliness and generosity of Malaysians. The only issue is that if there are so many people invited, there would be not much opportunity to speak at length and bond meaningfully with your hosts and/or other guests. Nevertheless it is still a wonderful way to meet new people.

Ketchup and kicap are different all together in English and Malay.
Ketchup = tomato sauce.
Kicap = soy sauce.
Sambal kicap = soy sauce with chilli.

Laksa Johor is among the most unique dish in Malaysia. It's usually homemade and rarely can be found at a food stall/restaurant. Most if not all Johorians and those related to them, they eat it with their hands instead of using fork. It is also the only laksa in Malaysia that uses spaghettis.
