I have a bulging disc in lower back. It hurts to stand/walk for more than 30 minutes. Will these stretches be safe? I dislike using medication unless as a last resort.

I think for those of us 5'4" or shorter, the kitchen counter might be just too high for us. The first time I tried this, I got a bit light-headed suddenly, not sure why, but it was a lot of strain around my shoulders. I tried it next from the back of a couch and that seemed more reasonable. Seems to give more traction on the lower back, though. I have some compression in the cervical spine, so I look for help with traction there.

Hi I just found you... I'm so glad I did... I've had 2 surgeries a rt SI joint fusion, and a disc.... something with the discs...I also have a spinal cord stimulator....my days are long and hard I need something to help with this pain....I only take ibuprofen for the pain... I've been to physical therapy several times...I do exercises at home but not regularly....any input on how to make things a little better would b awesome.... again so glad I found you...thx Lucas TFS Shelly from Colorado 😉❤️

Hello Shelly - ibuprofen is extremely strong, even though over the counter. Great your doing PT, if you can do that daily AND commit to 30 minutes of walking, can really be game changing. It's hard to do the simple things but they make all the difference.

Hey! thank you very much! I have a question: Does traditional child pose also decompress the spine? Do any other relatively easy yoga poses do? I ask also because I couldn't find the way to hang myself, in the positive sense of the phrase... 😊

Hi Lucas, My back is generally stiff. When I stand for long periods of time I find my lower back gets sore. Does this mean I have a compressed spine? What can I do to improve this condition?

A N I'm so sorry about what happened to your dear sister. 💔 But if your back pain is causing you pain and suffering you Should go to a doctor. Get an mri try a pain management doctor to get rid of your back pain and a PT. They might can fix your back without surgery with physical therapy and a pain management doctor.
