We didn't learn anything from the first leg, the same mistakes and lack of creativity.
Wrong, we learned a lot, that's why the score is 1-0. It's just that the strikers' performance can't be improved in 3 days.

No goals from open play for over 3 and a half game!!!. Scored 2 penalties in that time. And havent even looked like scoring. For the first time in over 5 years I watch us thinking we aint gonna score a goal. Take away the penalty tonight and we had absolutely nothing. Not a single decent chance. Forget winning the league, well be lucky to finish 3rd at this rate.

Is he really that bothered since he’s leaving? Probably not and that shows in the players performance. Where were the leaders? Where was the passion? The drive? Players do not care and a lot should be leaving in the summer with Klopp.

I think the priblem we have is we rely solely on our front 3 to get the goals.. none of the others chip in enough to take the pressure of them. Look at the UAE? They have debruyne, rodri, grealish, foden, bernardo, division 2 haaland, doku who all chip in with goals. Even their defender's chip in. Its a big ask for us to win our last 6 but hey we live in hope!

There's something about our playing style, I've been seeing it since Arsenal 3-0. Something is happening, mainly with VVD's role: there is some type of innovation that the coaching team is trying, and if it had worked as well as the inverted full back did with Trent, it would have already been advertised, but everyone's ignoring it, including the pundits.
The Fulham game Klopp should bring in fresh players especially in the midfield put in Gravenberch and start Elliott and Jota

Only Gakpo played that front 3, attack was useless, and Trent was indicisive but it's his first stat from injury, I love the defense at least a clean sheet. Midfield looked tired, but our defense was a great boost

The ball going from the opposition's half back to Alisson, who then keeps the ball for 10-15 secs is utterly infuriating when we still needed 2 goals with 15 mins to go.
I appreciate that this was to allow tactical movements in the first half & early stages of the 2nd but Jesus, not when we're chasing 2 goals with time running out!!

Many of us knew we couldn't turn the result around, a month or so ago maybe but these last few weeks the squad hasn't looked great, especially our attacking players! If we finish the season with only a league cup then in my opinion that's because our attacking players let us down. Salah hasn't looked sharp or passionate, Nunez I think has been cheered on too long despite the constant missed chances, I would love to see him succeed but be just isn't clinical enough infront of goal and doesn't seem to have partnered with Salah or Diaz, Jota isn't reliable, he has class no doubt but he's made of glass! Diaz looks really good, he has pace and skill but again he hasn't been putting away his chances. I hope Klopp can get this squad scoring again, I believe city will go unbeaten for the rest of the season but if God willing I'm wrong then we need to win every game, If we win all our remaining games then at least we know the squad gave it their all, just a shame we didn't show up for the last 3 games.

Nothing to do with Klopp. The boys let us all down. Finishing are not clinical enough. Salah missed so many sitters and since his returned he can only score from Penalty. Nunez is shooting the sky. Jone is missing passes....

Thy way klopp wants he’s players to play is so much fatigue not just on physical, on mentally as well. that jus shows start of the season we look team too beat by end of the season we look beaten up team.
Mo has never been clinical in this part of the season, he looks disinterested. Jones looks so out of place it’s unreal. Lost count of how many misplaced passes in good areas. He looks a league 2 player….should be nowhere near the starting 11.

Tbh he has never been very clinical. Perhaps in the first season, but after that I feel he's always got the stats but missed lots of chances or been ineffective in many games too.
You could say the same about a lot of prem players. Even haaland this season misses chance after chance or goes completely missing. Unfortunately klopps tactics involve a lot of running which is why theres so many injuries and the players look burnt out. As for Salah for 7 seasons he’s been the sole main goalscorer while playing out wide and recently even top assister. Haven’t had anyone thats really pulled their weight with similar numbers to him to help him out. Wasnt needed when the team was focused around him as he was scoring. With nunez playstyle completely different to that of Firmino the front 3 just doesn’t click the same and Nunez is nowhere near good enough to sacrifice salahs goals for.
I wouldn’t play Salah again this season, the team was doing just fine while he was away and injured. He is playing as though he’s scared to get injured. So it’s safe to say this season is gone and we have to brace ourselves to be as we were before Klopp! 😢

It was just like the performance at Anfield. A good opening 10 minutes, then nothing. There was a horrendous miss by Salah, he didn't even get close to the target, and then Atalanta shut the game down. In the final minutes we threw everyone on and yet continued passing across the back. It shouldn't be down to our keeper to play the long ball. Once again the outfield players seemed keener on passing to somebody else rather than take responsibility. There was nobody prepared or able to beat the opposition one on one. The wheels have clearly fell off.
Having said all that, there are hundreds of teams, thousands of players and millions of fans, who'd love to be in our position. We just have a very high standard that we put on ourselves. WE ARE LIVERPOOL! THIS MEANS MORE!
