1. Fresh wall plaster is a mixture of sand and cement hence there are tiny and large holes in the wall, skimming smoothens all that. When you skin the wall feel so smooth on the skin unlike just the plastering. 2. When you skim, you use very little paint after because the fresh wall colour will no longer be visible through the wall.
Please did u do the skimming with just the home charm or you mixed it with p.o.p powder???? And is it even advisable to skim with just the paint alone???

You have to add little water to the paint then add pop Cement to it and stir or mix the two together until it's well mixed

Why do skimming after tilling and not before tilling?
Doing the skimming before tilling is the best. However, some people don't know it so they do the tile before getting to know they need the Skimming.

We mixed it with the Pop powder,.. and it's not advisable to do the Skimming with only the paint ..
Make you use afripaint from city paints supply spintex or tudu they get technical tropical paint made for Ghana region. Strong one kraa
Can I apply a foreign paint after using Home charm paint.
I was once told the foreign paint is normally not compatible with the home charm paint
You can go ahead and apply a foreign paint on it ,all the need to do is to use a smooth sandpaper to Sand it
