I know it’s not real but theoretically one day they might often with trauma people block it out and can’t remember anything that happened around that time but once they can’t older things can come up that might start to bring back some memories from that time I was sexually assaulted a few times when I was about 7-9 and I didn’t even know until a few months ago because I had completely forgotten everything from that age I could only remember little blurs of that age but nothing was clear and there was barely anything from that age but now I’ve started to remember because something came up that reminded me of that and brought back the memories I didn’t even realise I had suppressed
Jamie knows..and that is what matters..
And I am tearing up again. I don't think I would ever be able to watch Bly Manor and not get emotional.

Dani's soul became free from viola after she died because she sacrificed herself selflessly..for a child..how can viola conquer or trap such a selfless soul? It is impossible..so Jamie was wrong..dani didn't become the lady in the lake..she became a free spirit..who could be anywhere watching out for jamie..waiting for her lover..to be together again..

Omg agreed!! I thought that it was going to be revealed that the storyteller was some kind of hybrid of Dani and Jamie, because she had the look of Dani but the accent of Jamie. I thought it might be that like they’d found that the only way they could be together was if they merged their souls into one person? Sounds silly, but for some reason it’s where my head went straight away :)

My ending: their love was strong enough to overcome the ghost inside of Dani - viola hadn’t been loved right for so many years, but when she merged with dani, someone who was loved so deeply and completely, she could overcome it. In my head, they live happily, forever
