Legend, big thanks for that tip! I was watching some Groove3 videos with Maschine in ProTools and just couldn't figure out how to get it going in Logic. You've saved me another hour of head scratching!
@RuelzRekka Soundflower is basically just a program that allows you to send audio from one application to another. It doesn't really have anything to do with VSTs. There's no windows version currently, but my guess would be that there is a similar product available for Windows.
Yo whats good fam thanks for sharing this. Is there a possibility to use maschine pads to trigger sounds from logic while working and building sequences in maschine software?
Great Vid! This definitely opens up doors for more creativity!! Hmmm...Now if there was some way I could fix the clipping noise issue when dragging and dropping audio to logic?!?!.....lol
@prettdboy well when I was on the MPC I used to always make sure that I tracked double the amount of bars if I was tracking out loops..8 bar loop.....16 bar track out....loop using the second half....:)
thank you man,i just got mashine and i use logic 9 and my numark ns7 for cutting, looking for how can i get my ns7 on my mac to track with logic or mashine please help, thanks again
Very helpful. I ran into a problem though. When I sample everything works fine, up to the point where I want to record a sound from maschine into logic. When I use it in MIDI mode, one sound is mapped across all the pads, from Group A-H, acting as piano roll mode even though it is not in that mode. How can i change that so each pad can trigger its individual sounds? a reply will be appreciated, thanks
@goodtimezproductionz It wont work this way for reason since reason does not allow for routing to VST/AU instruments directly. You would need to use something like soundflower to make it happen.
Yo F can you make a video about how to use setup logic as asound mod for maschine. I am having trouble trying to do that and using midi and separating the sound on the midi channels
@goodtimezproductionz if you're using reason you really need to more or less use it as a plug in via Rewire to another DAW/acid/ableton/logic. Point being is it's easy using Reason to Rewire into say Ableton, then Ableton allows you to use maschine as a plug in as well as pump audio from Reason. Eventually reason will be too inside the box. Everyone I know that uses it married it to one DAW or the other for the flexibility.
I'm having trouble with the very first step of the process. I think I might be missing something very simple. When I go to the EVP88 and click the Stereo Out button to switch the output to bus, Logic just brings up the main output track in the mixer; it doesn't give me the option of switching it to bus. Any idea why this is happening, or what I may be doing wrong? Do I have a different version of Logic? Excuse my ignorance for not knowing how to complete this simple step.
@altruwest man I've been all over the web, no one has answered or made a video about this. I'm familiar with your video about creating multi out instr. in environment, linking to Maschine instrument channel, and bam midi info is fed onto that channel. I'm trying for this effect, but I want the midi per pad being recorded in separate logic channels for advanced editing and sound design. Help?
Hey I just bought my Maschine yesterday...... How do I pull up Side Chain. I got Logic up and Bussed Out ( Bus 1 ) but I can't find the Side Chain option. ? Help please
hey im havin a problem when i sample into logic how to i get the samples to cut each other off??? it works in slice mode but when i put the maschine into midi mode the samples bleed thru
I got this to work but, is there an easier way, can someone send a template or something? If there was a way to mix in the Maschine software, we would not need to get midi working in logic. Does anyone know of a faster method?
You my friend are a Gentlemen and a Scholar. I been using Maschine since 2009 and I never ever thought of this trick. Thank you.

@EddyKnucks in Ableton you can do something similar, Ski Beatz has a tutorial on this on his youtube

You can do the same with live, right?
um side chain does not appear on my screen does anyone know where else i can find it so i can change my bus ?
How do you sample from you tube while using machine as a plug-in in logic x, I can’t figure this out please help me.
Definitely not the ideal way to do it. I can't really provide instructions on how to sample from TH-cam since that is technically piracy. Sorry
