I took watercolor classes from one the countries leading watercolor artists and I just have to say, I learned more from you in this video than an entire semester with him. You can only be told to loosen up so many times! Thank you. The little incidental tips are priceless!

So beautiful 😍 I love them! The thing that the flower pedels come from is called the Anther were the Staman sits into. The stamen is supported by the anther not the ovaries. Anther is the base of the pedels 😊. Thought I'd let you know that. I Googled it. Thank you. 😊 Have a blessed day 🙏! FLORIDA 🇺🇸 USA.

❤ Love this……I used to do watercolor a hundred years ago 😂 & you’re making me want to get back into it again! This is the only way I can enjoy magnolias, as I am highly allergic 😮
Cindy YOU MADE MY day, YOU are the reason I teach. To take the intimidation, hesitancy out of this beautiful medium, bring those of you back to it, and new ones into it~ My passion. Ive painted for a lifetime, and there is just so much joy and magic in this medium for me. I hope to be able to co ntin ue to inspire you and support you back into your watercolor journey! Happy painting and most of all have fun~
Okay I’m sorry but I have no clue what you are selling. Lol! 😂How much are they cause I love your painting and the colors you used
Hi~ Thank you I love these colors as well, Quin Magenta is one of my favorite. My videos im just shring but I do have little "companion Kits" that go with some of my videos. They are 2.50 on Etsy. Not for all of them as Im a bit technical challenged. They are something I would have liked from my art teachers decades ago, before youtube, google etc.
They have a little swatch sheet with the colors, the drawing and a few directions to go with the TH-cam video and the original painting you watch me paint here. Here is the link for Etsy if you would like to look at them. They are just an addition piece I thought might help. bityl.co/Kyh4 Happy painting friend.
Hi Debbie,
A wonderful demonstration of the magnolia. I am a total beginner, and enjoying your tuition. X
Im glad Julie, I teach how I learned best I suppose all these years. I like to go slow and see the technique and then how to use it. I hoe you give these beautiful magnolias a try, they are such a beautiful flower. Happy painting friend, and most of all have fun!
I love watching you. Love how you explained how to draw the flowers. I have not seen a magnolia flower with this color. I am from the south and our magnolia are white with a yellow orange cone in the middle. Love to see you paint one of these. 😊❤
Thank you so much! I also have one that color I painted. We ahve both, the pinks I dont see as much. The golds are gorgeous, and much larger. I hope you give these a try, to much fun~
Happy painting!
In Southern Missouri there were the pink ones. Exactly what I remember!
Good morning Debbie, I’m a day behind and didn’t get a chance to watch yesterday’s video until early this morning. My mother-in-law isn’t well and was admitted into the hospital. I’ll be with her again tonight so I plan on painting this beautiful magnolia that you’ve instructed us on today while I’m home. It’ll be so relaxing and I’m looking forward to it. Thank you for explaining everything so clearly as you always do. It makes it so much easier as you explain and describe everything so well. Magnolias are one of my favourites. I had a beautiful large magnolia tree in the front yard of the home I sold last year. I drove past it yesterday and it’s in full bloom and just beautiful. I’m really looking forward to painting this. Thanks again. 💕
First, I want to say I'm so sorry about your Mother-in-law; I hope she is on the mend soon.
No rush on going through the videos. They are there to enjoy at your leisure and when it is most fun! The good thing about TH-cam that stay here forever for you. I hope to soon have my online course of some type where they are all structured for you to go through in a process!
Most of all, enjoy painting; you now have lots to play with, watch and paint when ready. So glad to see you here with me Nadine., and as always, Happy Painting!
Hi Debbie, how exciting is this beautiful gift! I am so very happy for you sweet lady! ❤Enjoy! Helene
Thank you Helene, I sure didnt expect it , what fun! I cant wait to play with them and share with you~ Happy paiting friend.
This is a wonderful tutorial! Thank you for waling through each step slowly and explaining how you get the colors. Really helpful for us beginners!
Im glad it was helpful., I hope you give it a try. Happy painting friend! Most of all enjoy
I’m so new to watercolor, but an eager beginner. Once your painting is dry, do you erase the pencil lines?
If your pencil lines are faint, they will not show, (I went darker here so you could see them) You "can" sometimes erase them, it depends how opaque the paint is over them. Sometimes I can, sometimes I Cant.
I do erase pencil lines after most times. Im so happy to have you here as a beginner! Welcome and practice practice, I promise you will get better, if I CAN do this so can you :-)
Happy painting friend
I painted this and it is awesome! Thanks for showing us how to do this technique.🖌

Absolutely stunning
Thank you Julie I love this beautiful
Flower and my favorite color… pink 🌸🎨
Beautiful magnolias. ❤
Hi Mary I hope you give them a try...
I love this realistic interpretation. Seems so many channels only do loose florals. You are a very good teacher. Also happy to see the WN paints. My favorites
Hi Sara, I go in an d out of both styles, I really like playing with wet on wet, although teach a lot of damp on damp to my beginners, (its much easier to control) I DO LOVE my WN's, what I used since college. For a much day to day painting I do now for these tutorials, I cant afford them daily, and tried SO many. I now use the MeiLiang set for my daily painting and quite happy with them. Happy painting friend, enjoy those WN! They are fabulous~
Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤
My pleasure, Im glad you enjoyed this tutorial. Happy painting friend!

Beautiful absolutely beautiful
Thank you I hope it inspired you to give these a try. I just love these magnolias when they are out for a few months in Southern California happy painting friend.🎨🖌️🌸
Beautiful tutorial but your green nail polish is very distracting.
:-) I like to have fun with my nail polish (even previous to getting on youtube 11 months ago), although I will admit, not a big fan of the bright green. I have been leaning ore towards the pinks lately~
This video was amazing. It was like a teaching documentary.
I watch a few people on TH-cam. I know a few very good artists that have been on youtube for two years and they are just about to reach 10,000 subs.
Your amount of subs is growing by leaps and bounds.
You're an over the top, outstanding teacher and that is why your growing. You are not stingy with sharing your knowledge of art. That's why your channel is growing so quickly.
I have never signed up for any perks on a youtube channel but i just may check into PayPal. If you decide to do that.
Thanks again for sharing skills. I've learned so much from you, my art is so much better, with a lifetime of learning ahead.💜🩵🩷🖌XXX
Thank you Penny~ You are so kind! Im thrilled that what I share from my (literally) years of watercolor painting is helpful. I love sharing, and doing what I can to bring my thoughts process into painting and thrilled it helps.
I really try not to look at the numbers or it messes me up lol.. I just keep doing what I love, and see the numbers occasionally, because TH-cam emails me, but what I LOVE is these messages like yours that I feel so excited!
My hope is to be able to create an online course with all these little techniques in one place for you to move through in a more structured way. Thank you Penny for your appreciation, and sharing.
I dont know what perks are? Will have to look at that. Thank you for being here with me Penny!
