When I was alot younger, I built a 67 almost like this one. 454 .120 over, Dana and a power glide 5000 stal. Sweet and quick ride.

Idk, there was one a few years ago, Mustang maybe.... if I remember right, Nick didn't drive that one, but recorded a strip guy driving it. That thing was insanely nasty. I'll have to find it and share the link.

My neighbor had a prostreet super around 2010. Gary Lutsky, he was extremely particular about his cars and this is the quality i love to see pushin past 2023
That oilpan has been beat up pretty bad. Definitely change the oil pan and put an exhaust on it and you'd have a nice weekend whip. And after watching the flaws a new set of rear tires lol. I just absolutely love the brutal honesty of Nick Southgate at Maple Motors!!
Buy it, and you can apply your adjustments, good eye Mc fly.
Good luck sourcing those rear tires, most in those massive sizes are discontinued or they’re doing a small run 1-2x a year so you get to wait 6 months or more to get a set. Expect to pay around a grand for a pair at least, if you can find any. It’s hard to be a big tire street car guy these days. Four Webers on a blower, such a late-80’s early-90’s period piece! Straight out of Popular Hot Rodding, etc
One can easily get that size tire right now.
I just put a pair of M/T SR 31"×18"s on the back of my Olds. No issues at all getting them.

The fuel system needs major tuning. In the beginning of the video, look at all that gas coming from the exhaust.

No, it's not dialed in...he's gotta keep feathering the gas to keep it running. Those side draft carbs are useless on a blower.

Remember he is a rod 1st and for most. The build is very nice and someone put a lot of thought in to this car. Well worth the price and that is what it is. Old Master Guns USNC.
Under Pressure stands for the blower putting pressure into the engine.
Got to make sure that fuel system is in check before driving it. Probably but sitting in a garage for a long time

You couldn’t even come close to building a car close to this quality for $40k!! Beautiful car, great price, needs a bit of tlc on paint n body but well worth the asking price. Hopefully Nick has a list of what’s inside the engine cause that’s half the value right there

@@davelowets definitely don't sound like a fuel problem to me. Sounds like timing. I have worked on, and restored cars like this for almost 40 years. But without actually being there. I just going by sound. Could it be carburetor? Maybe but from my experience. I don't believe so.
@@GenXRedneck420 4 Weber carburetors in a draw through supercharger application is just BEGGING for fueling issues.
That's why I don't believe the issue has anything to do with timing at all. We've heard him start the engime while it's hot, and there was absolutely NO kick-back from over-advanced timing, so that could only leave a retarded timing problem, and the engine sure didn't sound like it was real lazy from retarded timing. That leaves an issue with those carburetors, which really don't belong on top of a roots blower. They look cool, but are more show than go in that particular setup.
My guess is those carbs are a nightmare.

I have a 1988 iroc Z28 Camaro 5.7 liter with 7,630 original miles. Kelp in a garage most of its life straight body no rust. the owner ordered it from the factory. I am the second owner has a shift kit with 16-inch gold rimes. All stock except. for hood. Could I use it for a trade-in on this Camaro? My credit score is good.
