Some conclusions I've come to watching you.
1. Maybe there's something therapeutic to this farming thing. How many firemen farm on their days off? Maybe The Center for Excellence should have a working farm.
2. Free fire brother labor is the best kind. I couldn't have gotten started without it.
3. Keep up the great work! People have no idea how hard it is to share your journey and do it at the same time. Easily double the work!
Like at work. You can’t get in trouble if you’re busy. In life and at work I thinks it’s true. I look at it the same way with my kids
The stop looks good you will do well with it and bottleing it in glass was an excellent choice

I'm living vicariously through you and some others this year.....we are moving and with prepping the house for sale I don't have time to tackle my (very) small backyard operation. Keep up the awesome work!

Lol...I just came in from a 6hr boil on my 2x4 and I get to watch this😅. My sap's been 2.3--2.5 so after 2 runs thru my diy RO I'm close to 7.5. Really like watching some "serious" equipment👍

The fella I bought my RO from does the same thing with permeate overnight, he claimed that it would clean as well as an acid soak
It cleans nice but there was still a haze on the pans so I’m gonna add some pan cleaner next time
Can you tell me more about the bubbler / air injection ?
I am going to do a video on it at some point. I had one but lost the footage due to a memory card issue
Question Scott, what size pvc do you have for your suction and discharge to and from each tank? Currently have a leader micro 2 post, but know I will be upgrading in the coming years. Also what size tanks do you have in the sugar house?
I have 2" from the tanks and 1" perm and concentrate discharges.
The raw sap tank is 1000 ish and the perm is 900 ish. Your goal for perm should be the compacity of your machine. ie 600 GPH machine 600 gallons of perm. You can get away with 1/2 of that but it is a fine line because you are using it to rinse the soap out of the machine with a goal of not leaving any behind
@@dunnfamilymaple7642 makes sense. I know I will upgrade ros but don’t want want to redo all the pvc when that happens. Will have to buy a 1000 gallon tank for sap
I think that would grade Golden on a Hannah tester.

What size is the feed tank and permeate tank in your sugar house ?
So close on syrup color, all we make is Amber and Dark
Raw sap is 1041 at the over flow
Perm is 836 at the overflow
Head tank is 195

Do you wash out your evaporator after every time you boil? what is your normal procedure for this? Thanks
I’d like to. It has been about every other. Drain fill with perm and some pan cleaner now in the flu pan then leave the bubbler on. Syrup pan drain fill with perm and pan cleaner
