    Mark good review. I’ve owned that exact model for 1.5 yrs. It has operated flawlessly. My hands get cold very fast so I need this often especially in winter. ❤

    I have had this for a couple of years and it is amazing!!! I use it deer hunting inside a hand warmer muff strapped to my waist. I’ve even forgot it on and it was still warm the next day!!!

    I like the idea of putting this inside your coat or sleeping bag. I also like that it's a battery bank. Thanks for sharing Mark!

    Mark, back on the days, 30-40 years ago I have regularly used catalytic hand warmer very similar to Zippo while Ice fishing. It worked for hours, but produce a slight smell of fuel fluid. It also could be turned OFF by opening the cap and let it cool down. The reaction stops and to activate it again, you would need to heat the element again. Had this electric hand warmer been available at the time, it would be great replacement to the chemical one as a smell could be bad while handling the bait.

      Hi Boris. Another trick is to put the warmer in a plastic bag for 2 minutes. This will choke the "fire" and you can continue whenever you want just by relighting the pad.

      I used to use that zippo hand warmer but never for deer hunting. I got this electric one because it doesn’t give off a scent!

    This would be an absolutely killer if it had a flashlight function....even with just 1 low draw LED...great review, thank you!

      A while back I picked up some USB LED things off Amazon. You stick it in the USB port and it lights. The white and the red are good for flashlights. Only problem is some battery banks won’t run if the current draw isn’t high enough.

    My eyes were a little off this morning, I thought the title said: "Oops rechargeable hand warmer"😵‍💫 Before you showed the neck bag, I thought to myself, “it would be great to hang around the neck to keep your core warm.” I definitely could use this on those chilly mornings, when I take off early on my scooter. Thanks for the great info, Mark. 🙏🏻✌️🇺🇸🤝🇨🇦✌️

    G'day Mark, I have seen one like this before, cant remember if it was this brand/model, but anyway, I never go anywhere without a minimum of an 8 to 10 k mAh battery bank, and to have the dual functionality, + fast charge as a bonus, thumbs up. I note you don't often mess around with specific pricing; perfectly understandable mate; since its often all over the shop and can certainly change day to day, if not hour to hour, lol. But if this item is anywhere near the price of a quality battery bank alone .................it's gotta be a winner !!!!!
    Btw; any indicator LEDs for heat, and/or charge level ? And I assume there is a max temp cut out ?
    Cheers Duke.

    • @MarkYoungBushcraft
      @MarkYoungBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Duke. The only info on the max temp is the what is provided. I would like to think it has heat protection circuitry but there is no info on that. Thanks for commenting

    One more great review Mark. Thank you for doing a top job. Maybe you might test the Peacock catalytic handwarmers from Japan. They are by far better than the Zippo that I disposed. In my opinion there is no better and more reliable handwarmer on the market. Also you can refuel it after 12 hrs of really good head and you are done. So with a single 125ml lighter-fuel can you have safe heat for days. Greetz from Germany, Alex

      US$19 + US$14 shipping from Mississauga on eBay.
      The mfg website that was in the video description showed a 15% discount code, so that might end up being cheaper. You'll probably end up paying tax either way. Oops! The discount code was in the description.

    Mark, how did you attach the lanyard to the bag? did you just poke a small carabiner through the side opposite the draw string loop?

    • @MarkYoungBushcraft
      @MarkYoungBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว

      I tied a double-overhand knot to each side of the drawstring on the bag. The DO knots allow me to adjust length. Thanks for commenting

    I have the earlier model that came with a USB c to USB a adapter for output. Works well, but the rubber bit started separating and the charging lights stopped working on mine after about a months use. It still worked, but there was no way to tell what it's battery was and what temperature setting it was set to.
