This carol is honestly such a banger. You can't beat it when played on an organ as intro to Christmas mass. The best.
When we need the music of the church to really proclaim the Gospel truth, we always turn to Charles Wesley.
Nothing like the majesty of a real pipe organ expertly played, love it.
Just middle of the road, nothing to write home about!
Stumbled upon this saved link, "Christmas", on my computer notepad. This truly brought comfort and joy to my heart during these troubling times. God Bless 🙏
One of my favorite yuletide hymns, and played quite beautifully.
Thank you 😁🎶❤...Thank You Lord for the Tears 🙏❤✝️
Adaptive approach to playing is good for congregation, the key a tune is played in makes all the difference. F has enough range. I play in F G Db D for my churches. With 3 to support knowing your people is key. I just transpose at the keys what ever the key. A useful blessing From God 🙏 Bristol Unitarians accompanist

Played by an organist, would sound awesome in Stasbourg's cathedral
hi
Great audio recording quality, and nice job on the visuals! Thanks!
Are you an Organist?
@@veritysprott1547I’m on substitute list at my small local church. My main instrument is piano.
❤
AMEN
MARANATA!
Would be nice to hear the singing!
I don't believe there is any singing.
Troll. Plenty of other pipe organ vids that include actual voices. Always someone who is a complainer, hater or general a**hole.
@@brynnkohler4084 Alwats someone who has nothing better to do with their time hiding behind a pc or handheld device.

I don't like how the organist pumps the pedal for the same note, makes it sound too stacatto, which shouldn't happen on an organ, I'm guessing the organist is more of a pianist than organist. Otherwise wonderful playing of this great hymn, there were no mistakes made other than incorrect pedal use.
I agree. I think it is an arrangement because there is some re-harmonization.
Sir u played nice
Can u give the copy notes
I do wish organists could get the rhythm correct at bar 19 (line 7) - it should be 3 crotchet beats, and not as played here.
hello me

Hmmmmmmmmmm, this carol was played in the key of F, was it not? ;-)
I wondered the same thing
Usually in G
Yes it was! I have that same arrangement - it's the most commonly used, as flats are easier to do on pedals (at least for me)
@@alwellus can u give that sheet?
@@gioginting2909 Try the Anglican hymnal. you should find it there.
hello, is the sheet music available??
Too faaast, fingers don't need breath, voices do xD
The rotten sound of so many church organs cause me to thank God that I found theatre organs 65 years ago!
Dodgy foot work.
Just wish such Angels rather than sing, would help those in war-torn countries and where-else poverty is rife, not just during Christmas but throughout the year. I make no apologies if this upsets but reality is you enjoy singing this whilst people suffer and die seems inappropriate. I have no magic answer but certainly I see no reason to rejoice when people are suffering and dying needlessly. Perhaps on reading this, make a donation if you can to whatever charity you choose that will help. If you think I am out of order making this statement, well that is your choice. Personally I consider Angels should sing when such suffering is gone.
Rephrase: “Nobody do anything happy until the world is perfect.” I’m going to respectfully say “no thanks” to this philosophy, Jim.
LOVE THE SOUND ! THANKS 😊
Grazie!!! Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏
