    One thing I would add that to an otherwise succinct video is this. Once you're committed to bunkering and are hugging the Dorito (whatever your cover may be) and are coming around that side, start firing before you even see your target.
    Reason being, if he's realized at the last second you're about to bunker the daylights out of him, he might be doing a 180 turn to face you and potentially engage in a "double out" scenario. Most refs I've played with tell both players to leave if they didn't see who dropped paint first and the two opponents are on top of each other.
    This way, you're already shelling out paint and have a much higher chance of landing the first shot, or even tagging him if he's bailing and trying to escape your bunker.

    Wow. What a difference from when I watched this 4 months ago!! This makes total sense. I am the guy that bunkers you and keeps going haha. It's funny how much more I understand your videos after some time on the field now. Even tho I'm still very very new "4 months" I can understand your language now haha.

    Great vid. I would love to see a tutorial on how to pull off run-throughs. I know a lot of that is situational, but there are still some good rules for it.

      @@howtoplaypaintball i think I might have some drills written down from my 10 man days. If I can find them, I'll post them. If you think they are applicable and relevant in the modern format feel free to use them. I know they were modified running & shooting drills.

    • @JustIn-op6oy

      The basics were focused on switching hands and how to approach different types (generally speaking) of bunkers. It sticks out in my mind because I really liked doing the drills, as I'm 6'5" and some of the drills included shooting down over laydown bunkers.

      Yea I’ve done some snap drill videos but I’m open to other variations!

      LOL sorry! I didn't want to use the other one I have that mounts on my tripod since it probably wouldn't pick stuff up. Take this as training for focusing when you have to hold a lane I guess :P

    when to battle a guy versus not risking your body gun fighting

    • @howtoplaypaintball

      Good one! I’ll definitely put that one in the list.

    • @howtoplaypaintball
      @howtoplaypaintball  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I disagree. There are times you need to battle more. I’ll definitely be going over this as in a future video!

    Also be sure to start ramping right before you engage. I didn't do this once and got my fail on gopro footage and it was embarrassing xD

    • @howtoplaypaintball
      @howtoplaypaintball  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes it isn’t the worst to not shoot before you get there. If they hear it and can guess you’re coming then they’ll be able to react better and have a better chance of shooting you.

    • @howtoplaypaintball
      @howtoplaypaintball  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good point too! Getting your gun quickly into ramping us important.

    What are all the calls and stuff I should yell to my team? The communication calls.

    • @howtoplaypaintball
      @howtoplaypaintball  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those would be decided by your team. Everyone has different calls or adjusts other calls.

    • @marcusgonewild

      I'm wondering like maybe the main ones so when I walk into a friendly walk on, I can know what they are saying and I could also communicate.

  • @SteveVon7

    Enlightning tip, putting that in the tactical toolbag. My only reluctance is that i'm not a pro player so I play against walk on amatures, and I hate to blast them point blank cuz then I feel like an asshole if it turns out to be a kid.

    • @howtoplaypaintball
      @howtoplaypaintball  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can always just one ball or aim for like a pack or the marker.

    • @SteveVon7
      @SteveVon7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@howtoplaypaintball Yea, thats what I try to do if I can help it, I suppose the execution of the trick in this video enables one to get close enough to land a one baller then tuck in quickly to avoid a trade

    I see a bunch of people do it wrong. I think it’s funny when you see it in D2 and they complain about them getting the guy first. Lol

    Rubbing the bunker with your barrel and not running past could lead to a getting blasted in the nuts if you miscalculated where the guy is.
    Risk and reward I suppose.

    • @howtoplaypaintball
      @howtoplaypaintball  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s part of the game I guess. You could always just wrap around and shoot the player too but getting close to the bunker is most ideal.
