Delirium, Death Traps, and Giant Rats! Dungeons of Drakkenheim Deep Dive (Ep 1)

Welcome to Drakkenheim, a city ruined 15 years prior by a falling meteor. In this first episode of "Dungeons of Drakkenheim," join Dungeon Dudes hosts Monty Martin and Kelly McLaughlin, along with players Joe O’Gorman, Joe Zieja, and Kelly, as they kick off their live D&D campaign.
In this ruined city, three unlikely adventurers - Pluto Jackson, a human Battle Master Fighter; Sebastian Crowe, a half-elf Shadow Sorcerer; and Veio Sonia, a Tabaxi Gloom Stalker Ranger - search for riches, renown, and revenge. After meeting up with their contact, River, a mage from the Amethyst Academy, the group is tasked with retrieving a large deposit of Delirium, a strange, magically potent substance, from a ruined tavern called the Rat's Nest.
Within the dilapidated Rat's Nest, the adventurers face a number of dangers, including environmental hazards, traps, and monstrous creatures. Along the way, they learn about the dangers of the Delirium haze, which can cause exhaustion and eventually death with prolonged exposure. The group battles swarms of rats, giant rats, and even a Rat Prince, showcasing their skills and teamwork.
After a thrilling series of encounters and close calls, the adventurers finally locate the large deposit of Delirium, embedded in a piece of the meteor. As they work to extract it, they are interrupted by the arrival of a group of paladins from the Silver Order of Illyria. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with the adventurers caught between the dangers of Drakkenheim and the watchful eyes of the paladins. Join us next week to see what happens next!
