10 months ago i went to CR and looked at properties... when i say overpriced, that is an understatement. so as a third world country, there is mo plave to go but down.. im in america.. our oriced have peaked.. so we will do the same. difference is a person can buy a property here and b ok with not making any equity bevause we get tax benefits etc. if i oay 500k in CR that money is no longer working for me if there is no equity coming. Frankly, Nicaragua is a better play. a good 50% and more discount on like homes

We are considering moving our family to Costco Rica in the coming year. My husband's Mother is from Costco Rica and she raised him there for the younger years of his life. I would like to visit other places tather than just San Jose where his family is. I am from Michigan and ❤️ Michigan. I am concerned about the heat and I am not sure if I would like to live there. Visit, yes! Live? I just don't know 😞

Will the current policial and economic environment of places like El Salvador, and Mexico have an effect on the CR market? I’m thinking the mass amount of people that moved to CDMX during Covid and Bukele’s push to attract tourists and investors in El Salvador would influence people’s decisions on where to invest as an expat

If/When the US economy crashes, some who have Property in Costa Rica may liquidate. That might offer some great deals on higher end property. As it is, I see quite a few higher end properties for sale.

As a US Boomer reaching retirement age, I think you need to also consider how many US Boomers are reaching retirement age right about now. That pensionado visa sounds really interesting.

Real Estate has been in a bubble since a little before you got here. Thanks to low interest rates in the states, since then. As well as lots of printing. Whats coming will make the 08 crisis look like a boom.

I 100% agree with you. The debt market is in trouble... which is the biggest market in the world. It just takes time. In certain demographics, realestate losses are stacking up. It starts slow, speeds up, and happens all at once.

there are a ton of folks who want and will be leaving the United states. resources are the only thing holding people back. and many of us want to leave because of the current administration madness. not as many for the next president issues. america gravitated towards the next president. im not political and i dont vote or complain. but i am leaving because of current policies and culture
