Great videos! I have one question regarding another topic: How would you perform a simple single stage continuous absorption refrigeration cycle (Ammonia/Water) simulation using Aspen HYSYS? How would you simulate the absorption part in particular? It does not work via the absorber, since there are two inlets and two outlets, but the absorber in this case should only have two inlets (water and ammonia) and one outlet (the mixture). Since also heat flow is to be emitted, the "mixer-component" makes no sense as well. It would be great if you have an answer to this. Thank you very much. Kind regards :-)
Amazing, We really appreciate your efforts to make us fully understand the concept of Aspen. However, I have confusion that why we can not add components like KOH or KCL in component list in Aspen hysys ?
Some of the components doesn't exist in the library, and these need to be added as hypothetical or pseudo-components, depending on the nature of the components involved. Hope this helps.
Hello Mohammadmaaz. Thank you for your question. The compressor is used for the vapors/gas. If the feed is below the dew point, it lies in the 2 phase region (as per T-xy diagram), i.e., vapor-liquid, and accordingly, it will not solve. Hope that helps.
