    Thanks, HLModTech. I'm a Technology Education teacher in Seattle, and I have been using TinkerCAD with my students during this season of remote learning, but I'm just starting to learn and use Codeblocks with them. I learned a lot from watching you build the airplane, and today I'm going to have my students do a similar plane in Codeblocks. Hope you don't mind me using your idea. Thanks for teaching me, and I'll be back to learn more :)

      Sounds great Mark. That lesson is a great one to start out with. Keep me posted if you have questions or if you create something cool with it. 👍

    does you have class code

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A tinkercad or a Google class code? I do not have one for the whole world, but maybe I should create one. I'm not sure Google would let me do that for free, but it is an interesting idea.

    Great work! Would like to request a video on how to make a threaded bolt/nut maybe one isometric and one easy to print type of bolt. Would be alot to learn and totally awesome!

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have messed with threads a bit, but not in codeblocks. My fav place to work with threads is in OpenSCAD. The tools are build in and amazing. 🤯

      @@HLModTech There is actually a video on how to do it and it looks fairly easy but the problem is the video don't show any of the code. He starts by cutting a torus with two boxes then rotates it in an angle upwards and then copy it around 4 times like a pizza then copy it upwards with z offset command for desired height. Also want to share that im super happy that i found Autodesk 123d design which is tinkercad+ its a game changer for noobies like my self! Tried it?

    Thanks for really great Tinkercad tutorials you do. I have learned a lot from them and have only used Tinkercad for a week now.
    Question about this video: What is the scale/units of measurement the shapes use? I realised that it cannot be mm since you are using 0.05 and so on.
    I will appreciate your reply and thanks in advance.

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was building in mm. That project was just for fun, so my measurements were all Willy nilly.

    • @deonholt
      @deonholt ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HLModTech thanks for the reply. What I mean, is this at this point in the video: th-cam.com/video/0RM6YNgpFKw/w-d-xo.html
      You scale it to 0.5 of what? I hope you understand what I mean. I am new to Tinkercad so there are still plenty to learn.

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is measured in millimeters. I just scaled it to half of its original size. Since I was creating for fun... not a real need I was not worried about an exact measurement. If you peek at the blue workplane you can spot that the grid is in cm. Some parts like the cylinder have adjustable parameters. That blue wedge is locked at 20x20, so scaling it by .5 would take it down to 10mm.

    • @deonholt
      @deonholt ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HLModTech ok, thanks. So it was 0.5 of the original size? Thanks for clearing that. This means that it is possible to do it like this: scaling for example by 2.0 meaning it will be 2 times the original size. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

    • @HLModTech
      @HLModTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It took me a bit to get that too. If you want perfect measurements... you need to do some math as well. Lucky for me, I was just havng fun. 💯👍
