I’m in classes now to become an ELA teacher. This semester we have a whole unit/module on how to teach annotation. This video was perfect timing for me! Thanks.
You are awsome! I feel like you speak my language. I teach EFL and my students don't even have these skills in their L1. So, as I also teach literature as part of my class, I find that there is always something useful and relevant to me in your content. Thank you!
How many things would you tell them to annotate for if you are just starting out with teaching annotation? For example, should I start with one skill like indirect characterization or is is okay to give them two focuses like direct and indirect characterization and maybe use different colors (highlighters/pens?)? I don't want them to get overwhelmed. By the way, loved your video. I have been teaching for 31 years, and I don't usually watch whole teacher videos, but yours made sense and was compelling. Thank you.
I'm teaching in 3 different schools this year. From junior high to high school. In person teaching in 2 schools AND hybride in the other one. This year is hell.
I'm a teacher a French high school teacher in Illinois and i was wondering if it was possible to teach in San Diego ? and if it is what are the requirements
Id guess I am not your target audience since i didnt understand what you were saying. I did about 10 years of post secondary schooling. But obviously i didnt do whatever you were explaining

I would love if you could make demonstrations as you go in your videos. I'm more like see and learn than listen and do.
I’m in college and a senior and I wish I knew this sooner
Thank you for theses tips, and Pride is a fantastic novel!

These ideas are great! I will definitely be trying them I’m my classroom.
Those were great tips! I'm gonna be teaching poetry soon so I'll give annotating a try.
