@@MrJmd116 sucks as it is, to meet legal requirements, a barrel shorter than 16 inches with a muzzle device long enough to get to 16 inches, must be permanently affixed by pin and weld. If it isn't welded, you run risk of naughty naughty. I don't agree, I'm just explaining the law. Edit: the pin can be whatever, it's just filler in the hole. I've seen it all from gas tube to a snippet of wire clothes hanger
@@rocketcityanalytics Thats not why we use boiling water though. Rocksett is water soluble. Boiling the water makes metals slightly expand allowing the water to seep into the areas of the rocksett
Again… the heating and expansion of the metal and the hot water dissolving the Rocksett is what loosens it. You could use cold water , if you wanted soak it for far longer, but hot water works faster. Vibrations do zero to help.
Or if you own a stove and cooking pot, the easiest way is to put the muzzle in boiling water for 30 seconds.
Did mine in boiling water for 5 min still didn’t work
Or heat up the muzzle device with a torch or boiling water.
A torch, a breaker bar and a reaction rod
@@salsalvio821 for red loctite yes. Not rocksett
Where do you get one of those ultra sonic baths ?
eBay.
Harbor freight
I have a psa marauder and they pinned the muzzle with a piece of gas tube
Send it to a machine shop like ADCO to get it removed. The muzzle device will likely be destroyed
@@rocketcityanalytics I’ll just cut the tube and get a strap wrench
You or a gunsmith can drill out the weld, but a new one will have to be installed to meet the 16 inch "legal" requirement
@@AndyE30 it’s not welded it’s just like a 1 inch gas tube from muzzle to handguard holder

Really easiest way )) need only have sonic 🛀
For set screws with loctite a soldering iron works great.
Blow torch works in 30 seconds
Instructions unclear, my rifle said "13.9 p/w" I'm not sure what that means but my muzzle device won't come off no matter how long I boil it.
A joke? Or serious?
13.9 Peanuts per Wednesday
Just use a flathead through and turn it.
Not if there is rocksett
Rock set is water soluble lol
Vibrations do nothing
Helps break the ceramic faster
The heated water is what loosens Rocksett, not vibrations.
It’s water and vibrations. Max temp of rocksett is too high for boiling water to make a difference

Or a lighter….
Won’t break the rocksett
1st...
Yeah, cus everyone has an ultrasonic bath😅
Or use boiling water In a pot
