Hindi ako taga Balangiga but ramdam ko as a History teacher ang feeling nila nang maibalik sa kanila ang kanilang mga kampana..para bang puzzle pieces na antagal nawala tapos nahanap para makumpleto ang isang buong puzzle...tsaka totoo talaga na behind every mans' success or downfall is a woman :)

My 'Ninuno' from my father side was originated from Eastern Samar. I know this story as well. My ninuno are those who fought sa balangiga. I am so emotional as well kahit di ako lumaki at hindi pa din ako nakakapunta sa Samar. I am hoping one day, makapunta ng Samar, at makita ang balangiga bells. ❤ Salamat sa documentary Jeff. ❤

My father is from Eastern Samar and I have no idea na may ganitong kuwento. It is true, payak ang pamumuhay sa Samar, mabagal ang takbo ng oras. But for religion, siguro ang mga nakakatanda nalang ang active sa church dahil busy na sa social media ang mga kabataan ngayon. Naluluha ako while watching this documentary. Reminds me of so many memories in Samar.

A very heartwarming part of our history. It's good to hear the story of Balangiga bells and the brave Filipinos who fought for justice and freedom during those difficult days.
It's amazing how a single female made a huge difference in the times of oppression.

I heard the story of Balangiga and the Church Bells has been taken by American Troops during the apprising of people in 1901 the darkest history of People of Balangiga the end they returned the three Bills during Mr. Duterte Administration more than 115 years ago along negotiations between America and the Philippines. For me is courage of one woman that stands up against Cultural insult. A woman that supposed to be a Hero is Crisistima.
