I have this friend that raves about this band, thinks they're one of the best things to ever happen to music. This is the first time I've listened to them, it's really, really good. Beautiful, really.
Listening to Amesoeurs for 15 years and counting and their music still isn't boring at all. This is just so perfect. Absolutely unique and creative sound that I haven't heard anything else come close to. I'm still hoping for a reunification just to see them live.

Gestures are regrets Let a dead time accentuate; Energy is lost, cravings drag on, Each phase of discomfort alters reason. Unacknowledged unstable moods, Weak senses and frustration Smothering consciousness. I'm getting sick. Interior soiling; The bodies are caressed refugees Made odorless as soon as they stack their seed. A permanent vacuum will put the remains to sleep.
I agree with you. Lady Gaga is definitely not to be put in the same bag as other heartless pop artists. She has a lot of talent and she makes great pop music. I also agree that it's sad that some people won't look far beyond mainstream music and find jewels like this band...
it´s so good to listen to songs like that... it feels so awesome when a song can exactly describe your mood and people around you can also feel what you feel like...and you don´t even have to say a word..
Her voice isn't really that great, but that's what I like about it. the song is really emotional, and emotions aren't always glamorous. This song is good portrayal of authentic emotion. I love it
Fares Gargouri Emotions are what keeps us humans, and we all aren't near perfection at all, I rather keep it real, than "perfect" but with no feelings. greets :)
Let me go ahead and resurrect this thread.... The best thing about that woman's voice is that is clasically imperfect. Aside from political views shes the bee's knees. Then again, who the fuck am I to comment on what makes her tick.
The gestures are regrets A dead time increases; The energy is lost, the desire to linger, Each phase of malaise affects the reason. Unstable moods unspoken, Weak sense and frustration Stifling consciousness. I sickens me. Dirt inside; The bodies are refugees with caresses Odorless when they made their gerbent seed. A gap remains permanent numb. the lyrics translated into english
Why is it that no matter what video we all watch a little argument always has to start? this is an amazing song and there are many other amazing songs too, just leave it at that and stop fighting.
I wish I knew of this band earlier. Album is great but I think Audrey Sylvain definitely put the PUNK into post-punk. Very emotional, desperate, angry but sadly or somehow uplifting.
***** It's all in there. Especially in this song. The EP this is off is dedicated to Ian Curtis and you can here the post-punk influences strongly. They didn't develop their black metal sound till later.
@Clorox Waifu It's not blackgaze or shoegaze. This sounds nothing like Alcest, Lantlos, Sadness, My Bloody Valentine, The Pains of being Pure At Heart, Fleeting Joys, DIIV, or literally any Shoegaze or Blackgaze band. Likewise, I know many indie/post-punk bands that sound like this band. I'm not picky over genre names but calling THIS band blackgaze pisses me off for some reason.
Votre traduction, c'est pas mal... I did a careful one several pages ago if you want to look at it. However, although I love the lyrics, she could be singing about cleaning products and I'd still appreciate the song.
@Streetmastaalex I just want to say that Lady Gaga graduated some sort of arts school. Like a conservatory. She knows music theory. She even said at some point in her career that she wanted to start a punk band but her boyfriend told her to become what she is today so that she can make more money... What I'm trying to say is that she is really talented and has a great voice. Comparing this to her is like apples and oranges.
I recently discovered an old French band that I find really similar to Amesoeurs. I think they must have been an influence ! Give a try to Anomie, I really hear many similarities, particularily on the studio versions.
It's a real shame that it's not available anymore on Spotify.
here for this reason, but WHY just this album
It's so people buy the album. They take it on and off regulerly.
I could listen to Audrey's final scream a thousand times and it would still give me the same goosebumps
And eight years down the fucking line I still react the same.
same mate
very beautiful moment in music
Indeed man
I didn't realize how beautiful the French language was until I started listening to bands like Amesoeurs and Alcest a while ago. Hails from Sweden!
Language of kings

hope you and your friend still listens to neige's music :)
I remember introducing someone to this band and this song in particular only makes me think of her. I still miss you every single day. RIP
3:50 - 3:56: DEFINITELY THE BEST MOMENT IN THIS MASTERPIECE!!! Such an expression of deep emotions...
hurts so good
Thanks for the timestamp, now I can listen to it hundreds of times
The underground french scene makes me proud to be french. French Black Metal is the best thing I've ever heard.

Le cri d'Audrey est tellement fort et puissant qu'en l'écoutant j'ai envie moi aussi de crier ma rage.
Neige from Alcest was also in Amesoeurs, so there you go.
Beautiful, her voice is simply amazing.
The fuck, its been thirteen years and i still cry to her fucking scream.
I love this stuff... I also really enjoy Les Discrets, Alcest, and Agalloch.
everything what this man touches turns to gold! fantastic!

The album is pretty damn good, really great composition. I knew i had something good just after the first two tracks.
i wish i could go back to 2007, listen to this while walking home from middle school, no worries, just amesoeurs.
One of the best songs ever*
Nice picture mate! ;)

What are her political views?
Really? Didn't know that. Did she say this in social media/interview?. What about Neige?
Hmm, very interesting.

Why is it that no matter what video we all watch a little argument always has to start? this is an amazing song and there are many other amazing songs too, just leave it at that and stop fighting.
that scream gives me goosebumps!!!
Thank you. Yup, it is. I really love their music. So atmospheric, so beautiful even if I can't understand lyrics.
Whoah, thanks for reminding me of them. I used to listen to Anomie all the time back in high school.
Without doubt one of the best songs ever !
...Increible !!!!!!
tan, tan encantador...
Perfect !!! that was what I was loocking for

Exelent! Brilliant! a song to remmember forever.

+John Hatchell The first two tracks on this EP are the most black metal stuff they released, their LP is less so
stupid comment

Brutal and sublime 😍
escutava em loop quando estava no pior grau de minha depressão.Mas é muito bonita, por conta dela que aprendi o básico de francês.
