The Bills only job was to ensure that KC ended up with any other player in the entire draft besides Worthy, because Worthy being good for KC would've done more damage to the Bills title hopes than the Bills simply drafting a John Ross. Nerfing your main rival is just as important as building your own team.
@@parkercrossland410 you dont pick players you're not interested in to prevent your rival from getting them...and to be honest I don't think alot of teams were that high on worthy besides the chiefs.. maybe the 49ers but i don't think buffalo or the ravens would've taken him. Hes fast but speed doesnt always translate to good in the nfl.. cough, cough *john ross*. and before the draft, ironically, i saw a lot of chief fans agree and say he was a waste of a first round pick.

What’s hilarious is the trade of picks in itself was BARELY a win for the bills. Chiefs moved up four spots and essentially only gave up the value of a 6th round pick. They were all pick swaps too, bills didn’t gain anything extra.. just moved up some spots in later rounds.
Feels like a cheap price for my team (chiefs) to move up and get exactly who they want lmao but thanjs
Imagine being a bills fan and gift wrapping the Chiefs and Reid a DeSean Jackson type player. Similar size to Jackson and route running but with Tyreek Hill speed.

So in hindsight, if you look at who got taken between 28 and 32, only the 49ers took a receiver who is 2 inches and 20 lbs over Worthy. I don't know if not trading stops the chiefs from getting Worthy, especially since Buffalo traded out of pick 32 anyway.
Clearly, your team is in rebuild mode, Diggs left a 31 mil dead cap hit, so taking a year off the gas to try and build up some young depth via the draft makes sense.
They better pray Worthy doesn't go tf off like reek 😂

If you look at the board, there were a lot of tackles taken and very few, three, in a very deep wide receiver draft. It made sense for the bills to trade back, but doing so with the Chiefs looks bad, then they trade back again!
Hoping Andy Ried doesn't know how to use speedy receivers is hope to the point of foolishness. He got production out of Byron Pringle, Mecole Hardman, and Kaderius Tony. Look at the way Ried used Tyreek Hill (Reid brought him into the NFL). Reid loves fast receivers. It is one of the things he his known for. As long as Worthy doesn't have a case of the drops he is going to get playing time. I just hope (as a Chiefs fan) he pans out.

-Side 1 is that you focus on your team and nobody else and you just take the guys you what and make your team better
-Side 2 is that you don’t get better by making your biggest competition better by trading with them so that they get the guy they want.

If Beane is so smart, the smartest thing to do it take Worthy at 28. He gets one of the guys he wants while preventing the Chiefs from getting who they wanted most. Instead both the Chiefs and Bills got who they wanted. I see this as incredibly stupid. Not worth trading to move up your later round draft picks. But since I can't stand the Bills, great outcome.
This is a good trade for both teams. Bills got the 3rd round pick they wanted, and Mahomes got the WR he wanted

Apparently Josh Allen loves Keon Coleman! And who knows, maybe he's right! The Chiefs picked Mecole (small and fast) over DK Metcalf (bigger, slower ball-winner), and despite their team success, that was clearly a blown draft pick. Keep your chin up, Bills Mafia - we like you guys.

Edit: I moved to KC in 2010 so I adopted the Chiefs. Never missed a game. Suffered with Romeo Crennal then Tod Haley. Welcomed Andy Reid, Alex Smith, and finally Patrick Lavon Mahomes II. So I'm doing pretty good, thank you.

Worthy was going to be there at 32. The Bills got their guy for a 2nd round contract instead of a 1st. Focus on your team, not on other teams.
