Very cool! Love looking at new gear, especially these mini all-in-one midi controllers/keyboards. After this, I'm gonna get a snack then get ready for bed!
Thank you! I'm so excited for all the possibilities. 😁 Very much looking forward to jamming on the couch, not tied to a computer. (Just gotta find me a cheap looper pedal and I'm all set!)
Thanks for the video. You have an honesty about you. Can't describe it really... anyway... Thought I'd pop in here and see how you were doing with it. I had the original version of this a few years ago. My dog ate it. No, really... he ate the low C, C# and D keys. I just got a Bos RC202 and just ordered this Akai mpk mini mk3 to go along with it (that's why your video popped up for me.) Looks like a lot of fun is to be had. Can't wait for it to come in.
There is a poet within you, and I like how natural you come off without any pretension to anything, just jugging along with your thoughts, very honest unboxing...keep having fun!
I'm new to all this and looking at the Akai range to connect to my pc. I didn't realise they have one with the built-in speaker. I've just started on Bandlab my grandkids think I'm a record producer! I was just wondering what is a loop pedal? It sounds like it could be good to have, thanks for sharing video
I'm pretty new to this too to be honest! My main experience is making video game music on a Game Boy, so this little synth is a way for me to ease into live looping and working on PC as well. Using a loop pedal (or a piece of software with looping capabilities) I'd be able to make, for instance, a drum rhythm on the Akai and have it repeat over and over while I play something over top. A bass line could be layered over top, and then I could improvise a melody over the loops!
@@Kemikziel thanks, I did check it out after watching your vid. It might be handy if I use without the pc. Btw, I code games in python, use free sounds but you gave me an idea to try and make my own, cheers
hi how are things! great video showing the AKai, I recently bought one in all black, but what model is yours? Mine doesn't have that speaker! greetings from Argentina!
Hi there! It sounds like the one you have might be the MPK Mini MK3 (not the Play version). Only the Play one comes with the built-in sounds and speaker, but the Mini has more knobs (which are all assignable and turn endlessly) so you can do more when using it as a controller for the computer. I was looking at that one too but decided on the Play so that I can noodle around with it when I'm on the go. Greetings back from Canada! :D
@@Kemikziel thanks friend! Here I discovered that the model that you have has not yet arrived, right now I am trying to find a script to be able to assign FL studio functions to the Akai on my Mac, thank you for your information and don't stop creating!!
After this, I'll probably play a video game, ngl. Oh! I forgot to take out the garbage... ok back. I went outside today and said hi to people. That's way more than normal for me. 😅

New gear is always a treat! :D (So are bedtime snacks lol) I also picked up a Stylophone Beat that I'm looking forward to pairing with this 😁
Loved your excitement for this! Hope it brings you joy to you and your craft 🎉

This is truly the baby brother of the Akai Professional MPC 61 Key and its MPC 37 Key sibling!
I LOVE THIS! I'm excited about this for you! And all the jams that you're gonna be able to make!
Thanks! Ohh I can't wait to figure this thing out and make some cool stuff! 😁
I'm sure it wont take long, and you'll make some amazing stuff!

Can you reduce the reverb on the drums? Or is the reverb just baked in
I'm pretty sure the only thing you can adjust on the drum pads is sensitivity, although I could be wrong.
@Kemikziel Yeah, I returned it
