- Decided to fly down to Mersea Island and back - around 55 miles. I had 7 litres which should be plenty, but I didn't realise how rich my engine is still running after the rebuild. I had to make 20 miles with just over 2 litres of fuel.. would I make it?
Skill + luck = landing back at the van. 💪
I was providing my own commentary as you were coming into land, telling you off for trying to stretch the landing… but you nailed it. Great effort.
Those clouds looked amazing! Great landing too.
welcome back. nice to see you back in the air. some time this year could you please possibly fly over the old HMS Ganges training establishment site at Shotley, they have just erected a new mast to commemorate the old place now being transformed into a housing estate. you would make a lot of Matelots happy. thanks.
yeh there's not a lot left that's for sure. But yeh - will do. 👍
Could fly to you from Rayne
