The truth hurts, King Epic, but thank you for steering me clear of Cambodia. I was all gung-ho to go there (again) but I will just stick to Thailand and the Philippines. What is your take on Singapore? In addition to Thai women and Pinays, I love Chinese women, and I heard there are a ton of them in Singapore (Geylang and Orchard Towers). I had a blast in China in 2002 but times have changed and China is a lot more xenophobic now. But from what I researched online, seems like Singapore is overflowing with Chinese P4P options. Plus the world's oldest profession is legal in Singapore. Any advice for traveling there?

With Thailand being a real pain to go to at the moment, there's going to be a big interest in going to Cambodia.
Can you recommend a particular area or city that has a lot of activities for a tourist? I've been to siem reap and was not a fan and phnom Penh just looks like a big city thats kind of sleazy. Please take in account that I'm admittedly ignorant about Cambodia. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I stayed in Cambodia for 1 month on two separate occasions and there is way more than 100 girls on a given night. Maybe during low season or something. I have been to tiny bars that have 25 girls working out of one bar and the street has dozens of bars on it. There is over 75 girls just on the main drag 136th Street on a slow night. The 2 story strip club and bar called 136 has at least 20 girls working per night and 8 to 10 of the B team working the day time. Also, another thing about Cambodia half the girls don't have fake boobs. Most are all natural. Also, past the night market there is another strip with at least 60 girls on a slow night and on the weekend its more. Its no Thailand for sure but you negotiate with the girl not set prices like at Thai gogo bars. If you go definitely visit Siem Reap for the Ruins and it will take at least a couple days to do it justice. I spent all day their and only visited the 4 biggest temples and Angkor Wat has over 40 temples. Kampot is more of a backpacker smaller town and you can do most stuff there in a couple days. For a long term stay like months Thailand wins hands down for all the variety. Cambodia is like Thailand 25 years ago.

The two countries are totally different
    Apart from the culture.
Thailand is way bigger, more economicaly developed and has had tourists for many years.
Cambodia, had a mass genocide in the 70s, Vietnamese occupation in the 80s, civil war in the 90s and a totally new form of Government that went on to corrupt the society. Cambodia has really only started to develop since 2006, thats when they got the first ATMs in the country. Yes, Cambodia is nowhere near the Thai model of modernity so you cant really compare them. So, of course if you are looking for the same as back in the West then Thailand is it, if you are looking for adventure and unique insite then go to Cambodia. Just a note..Thailand was part of the Khmer empire for hundreds of years...So, the culture, temples etc etc are all based from Cambodia.

    • @EverydayisFriday-ws7ug
      @EverydayisFriday-ws7ug ปีที่แล้ว +6

Thailand's never been part of Khmer Empire but Khmer empire was under Thailand (or being called Siam at that time) rulers from 14th to 19th century. More than 400 years that Cambodia was under Siam until the French arrived. Khmer King and Royal families escaped Cambkdia and studied and lived in Bangkok for a long time. That is why modern Cambodia cultures are similar to Thai cultures in a massive scale. For reference, search for the sack of Angkor or the fall of Angkor.

This guy is bias toward thailand. In my experience, Cambodia is the thailand of 20 years ago. Women are not as materialistic or obsessed with money. There is more of a true girlfriend experience with less dictating time or expectations than thai girls. In short, Cambodian girls have much less attitude and are much sweeter than their thai counterparts. Cambodian culture is also much more laid-back and relaxed than thai as well. The people are friendlier and warmer than the xenophobic reactions of most met thais. Shopping, while not as diverse as established thailand, does offer good choices. Prices are 30% cheaper than thailand. Another good plus about Cambodia is that money taken from ATMs is in American dollars with most goods priced in the same. This means you are much less likely to experience currency fluctuations than in thailand. Finally, the presenter speaks of thais being "morr westernized" ; Cambodia also is westernized, but their influence is French as versus the British exposure of thailand. Basically, Cambodia is an excellent alternative to thailand with many aspects being more receptive and cordial than greedy and attitude - laden thailand.

Cambodia girls sound like Pattaya girls were 20+ years ago. They were not as agresssive, stay with U at least till 11 the next morning. If U kept them longer it was like rent a girl friend. They would take your laundry to cheaper places they knew. Go buy U anything & bring back the change, check your Bar Bins. U walk out the shower & they would be sitting on the bed with your boxers held out to step into & your clothes laid out on the bed & none of them had tattoos.

I was shocked (and glad) when US dollars came out of ATMs in Cambodia. Using ATMs in Thailand is quite expensive. On my last trip to Thailand in 2016 it cost me $116 to withdraw $83. It is advised to take enough cash with you on a trip to avoid these expenses. Or start a bank account in Thailand if you are a regular visitor.

A fair comparison, there are a number of nightlife areas in Phnom Penh not just the one street though, it just means jumping on a tuk tuk for a dollar or so to get to some of them, 136, 104, 51 etc, while not at the level of Pattaya/Jomtien which I prefer, it is still a good place to party. As for costs the condo rentals in Cambodia while not ridiculously expensive are on average a hundred dollars a month more than for an equivalent condo in Thailand and much more choice in Pattaya. There is nothing to compare with the food court in terminal 21 in Pattaya, as far as food options go, though Cambodia is still cheap and especially the beers which are much cheaper than in Thailand. The only big plus for Cambodia is the easy visa options you have there which if things stay as they are may sway me to Phnom Penh when I go to SE Asia to live next year as I have had word from some contacts in Thailand that some of the immigration offices in Thailand have been refusing to allow you to combine your pension and cash and have been saying they must have 800,000 baht or 65,000 baht a month pension, and with the pound sterling being down at present I am just below the 65,000 which could give me a problem. If they persist with these inconsistences I may have to reconsider my original plan to retire to Jomtien which would be sad as I love the area it has the fishing lakes nearby which I enjoy the fantastic Terminal 21, the nightlife street food and friends I know . I will have to see what developments there are between now and then. Excellent videos keep em' coming they keep me entertained while I'm on lockdown at present.

i lived in PH and some time in PI. only spent two nights in Cambodia. this video is (very) informative. i would not pay $150..but, again, i lived inp Pattaya. mr. "epic" here does know his information and explains different factors.
there is one aspect of the "individual". the guys i knew in phon phen liked that they were 'off" grid. and they knew that. like guys i knew lived in nicarauga instead of mexico.
ok you have 15 girls to choose from in cambodia instead of 100 in thailand. i enjoyed the "theme" of the thai girls. you (I) were #1 and treated you as such. neve had one problem at all...every. fun, breakfast, beach, go to the park...text them and "see" you tonight...i "go you"..beyond sweet and beautufl.
PI is cool also. more western and (most) of the girls speak english (mostly) and have been (more) influenced by the west. cebu is great. and away from other city's.
if someone would ask me where to go for say ten (10) i would say AC. not a fraction of the clubs/nice as bangkok. but those "girls" do not play...they "play" and in groups of 2's and 3s.

I lived in Sihanoukville for 1.5 years, continuously, with short trips to Kampot & Phnom Penh.
Because it hasn't had 50 years of the foreign invasion, as well as the "not so long ago" travesty, Cambodia is only now developing in a manner that will really draw foreigners. That isn't a bad thing because, personally, I think that foreigners & the tourism industry have done Thailand a disservice.
The only criticism I have for sihanoukville would be that there isn't much to do that doesn't cost you money, and, being relatively small, everybody seems to know all about you very quickly.
I'd probably live in Phnom Penh if I intended to return for a long stay, although, I do have concerns with the volume & circumstances surrounding foreigner deaths there.
Kampot was a relaxing little town that is worth checking out.
I'm probably the only visitor to Cambodia who never saw Angkor Wat, however, I heard a lot of stories of foreigners being ripped-off in Siem Reap, so, never bothered to visit.
As for the sex trade, it is well-established and the women know all of the "tricks of the trade". Still, no complaints!
Finally, as a foreigner, especially in low season, you really are targetted, yet, there are a lot of very friendly, caring, amazing people there. Honest summation? I wish I were there, now!

Thailand has infrastructure and the Thais don't throw trash bags in the street. I stayed on Street 144 in Phnom Penh and loved the location. To me! The Cambodian girls do not have 20 +years of prostitution culture. They do not stand in the street "Hi. Mr'..I was going to move over there last year...as you know the Thai retirement visa has been changed and guys are moving to Cambodia or Vietnam or Phill....what changed it for me is some American guy asked me.
" What's there to do in Phnom Penh". And as a non drinker ( retired ) I could not answer him. I'd been to the casino Naga World and taxis all over theplace but it was a great 2 week experience that I loved. I'm sitting out here on Gulf of Thailand in my 50sqm apt on the beach $210.usd + $75electric and eat in small Thai family restaurants..I was always looking over my shoulder in PP but neverr here....and bestof all. Of all the girls I met while living in Bangkok, I just call 1 up and they love to come down to the beaches and ocean air from Sukhumvit &smog...but, Cambodia is only 1 hour away. I was recently 1 month in BKK and took a weekend in Cambodia and yeah there is less options but to say that there is less then 100 girls in that redlight district I would not agree...
And then I felt that the Cambodia girls where less prone to cry for ladydrink and was more suddle and softer.
I really liked Cambodia you felt more welcome there, I feel like Thailand more and more is pointing to the chinese tourist rather then us westernes.
I will go again next year, stay for a few days in Pattaya and then go for maybe 2 weeks in Cambodia to get a better picture of it, but yes it might be hard to find something to do in the days if you not wanna lay at the pool all day.
But one thing you forgot to point out in your video is the air quality, it's really terrible in Bangkok nowadays and directly when I got to PP I felt like "wow I can finally breathe!" =)

My revelation is that a dangerous high percent of men have unreported bad experiences in places with low options and strange mentality of women or bar owners. Could be that bad experiences in the minds of men are far more than the bad experiences that woman had. The woman may have physically bad experiences that we should eliminate from societies but nobody is counting the bad unreported experiences of men that could be 1000k more than the ones reported and unreported by women.

I would guess 99% of guys who go to Thailand to meet women meet them in beer bars etc rather than online or in nightclubs. Any of those people are probably going to enjoy Cambodia as much as Thailand. The bar scene in Phnom Penh isn't going to match Pattaya for scale, but the experience is good, and the drinks are considerably cheaper. Outside of Phnom Penh though, things are much more limited. Siem Reap's nightlife is much more aimed at backpackers, and Sihanoukville has very few beer bars left, due the Chinese tourists taking over the place. Sihanoukville is more like somewhere such as Chiang Rai now. the Cambodian people are lovely though. Maybe a little more reserved that Thais, but they are less jaded by tourism, and you don't have to go far to find people who regard a western tourist as a novelty.

I've been to both countries. Overall for me, maybe I've been fortunate, but the the ones I've met have similar laid back, charming attitudes? But of course you will run into those hustlers and moochers but for me it's been pretty rare? Been to Bangkok and Pattaya a few times and ran into maybe 3-4 hustlers maybe, out of the numerous, numerous other decent girls that I've met? Just need to be smart, know the signs and move on. Like I mention to newbies - Rule #1 "Leave your emotions home!!" But still be cordial, have fun, be respectable to the culture. At the end of the day it's all business.
One last thing, first time I went to Bangkok and went to Nana Plaza, with no experience of how shit works? I went to a Go-Go bar picked a girl, paid for the bar fine plus the girl. Went to my hotel room, the girl went into the bathroom to freshen up, came out and "claimed" to be on her PERIOD?! So she didn't want to do it? Well, I had already paid for her? So that was a very expensive hj?! This is why I don't like Go-Go bars? And I also don't like it because I feel really, really uncomfortable sitting in the booth because I can feel tons of EYES (management) watching me?! That's why for me, I choose different avenues to find girls?

Singapore is all good but the good ones are all escorts. There are variety of real model celebrity class Escorts there, Just too expensive. 300 400 USD per hour is a bit too much. But I travel for food mainly so Girls are secondary things for me
