You know when you can tell someone is really having a blast and totally into the conversation? Your joy was obvious and infectious! That was a delight to see!
Jeff is a legend, always seems happy to do interviews. Love Hyperborea, especially the art and layout. One thing I really like is the text box of things that everyday people in Hyperborea know, setting the tone and the fact that it's not your "normal" fantasy setting world. On a technical note, it's always a bummer when the Great Old Ones mess with internet comms, but I'll look forward to Jeff's return 🙂
Hyperborea 3e is the system I am using to teach 2 brand new TTRPG players how to play "the worlds favourite roleplaying game",whilst simultaneously coaxing 2 multi decade veterans into the OSR fold. I'm particularly pleased that the 2 newbies have this setting, play style and system as their first experience!
100%. This is the equivalent of learning to drive with a stick shift first. It takes just a little more patience, but in the end you are more prepared, and you are able to drive the greatest automobiles in the world(as well as the cheap new stuff😉).
@@booksbricksandboards783 haha, great analogy. As I'm British (and like the vast majority of Brits learned to drive on a stick shift) I'm most definitely down with your assessment!
I just found this game recently, and i really like it. The art is so good. I really hope they keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing what footage you could.
Jeff has been putting out material for the game for over a decade, I think he plans to continue as long as we keep buying it (which we will, let’s be honest😀). Despite the tech frustrations I was glad I got a chance to get this out there. Thanks for watching.
Tsathoggua can be a toothache sometimes got to admit- well done for the interview to both. you make some great content on your channel and Jeff is a great game designer and developer of high end products that if you ask me puts industry behemoths to shame. Both Hyperborea 3E rulebooks are pieces of art and true investments. GEMS: if you love ADD 1e/2e, basic/Becmi and you are a sword and sorcery person, you love Conan, Cthulhu Mythos, wierd stories, mystery stories, Heavy Metal music, the sense of danger and the satisfaction of survival against odds and the thriump of victory after struggle and mayhem there is no better system to run the best game/campaign ever
I had the old 2nd edition book, which was a massive hunk of paper, that was my first. Since then I’ve picked up everything I could. Modules are very good. Thanks for watching.

Lol. I mean getting to chat with Jeff was really cool. He is my favorite living game designer.

He really is. I told him, I’d be jacked just to talk to him, but knew some of my subs would enjoy it as well. Thanks!

@@davidsmith4749 yeah, I learned on a stick, and I’m really glad I did. You guys in the UK got the driving thing figured out!
Sorry about all the chaos but what you were able to salvage is very good. Thank You for sharing my friend. 😊
Thanks Dangar! I’m thankful I was able get some of it out there.

@KhthonArchon That's a great summary of the game and who would enjoy it. It's one of my favorites.
Well said, Hyperborea is my favorite version of “D&D”.
I just got these in, they are beautiful!
The art on the Hyperborea modules is always awesome, but having them in hardcover would be amazing! Well worth the investment.
First of his products I've gotten, seen him interviewed several times.

@@booksbricksandboards783 We had our show today, I need to plug yours next time, I mod on Diversity and Dragons.
Did he say anything about the Khromarium Gazetter or any other upcoming project?
Unfortunately after the recording cut, we tried to restart multiple times and it wasn’t working so never got that far.
