Good sermon. I would have been so happy if he’d actually started singing “In the arms of the angel, far away from here…”!! Lol

This one just cuts off at the end. Any chance it'll be fixed?

Matt, you made a comment in passing regarding enneagrams. It disturbed me to the point that I couldn't hear anything beyond that comment. Please consider researching that a bit further. I suggest even listening to Jackie Hill Perry on this particular subject. She once supported enneagrams but recently renounced. Thank you. I personally don't know a lot about enneagrams but I'm Pretty sensitive to new age and witchcraft lately and not allowing the enemy a foothold. My daughter is or has been involved in witchcraft, so I'm alert to it. The creator of types says he got His info from Angel visitor.

31:45 this doesn’t make sense. “It’s not your money. I gave it to you.” This very clearly expresses how incapable you are of rightly understanding what a gift is. A gift is a gift. Your understanding of a gift means that there are requirements and expectations and strings attached. Keep your gift, because it’s not a gift

Living below one’s means is not taught in scripture.

32:23 you can’t give what is not yours. That would be stealing. You can only give away what you actually own. This teaching of “it’s not really yours, it belongs to God, so give it to me” is a corrupt and wonky teaching. Also Paul does indeed express that by giving material things they are reaping heavenly things, but he’s also very clear about WHAT he is collecting from them: food for starving Christians. Paul isn’t collecting paychecks for pastors and staff or providing for people to go on so paid sabbaticals.

The Greek “hilaros” “ἱλαρός” does not mean the same as the modern word hilarious. He’s taking the modern word and transposing the modern definition onto the ancient word. Paul is not telling anyone to give hilariously, he is telling them to give with joy and a genuinely happy attitude. He doesn’t want it unless it meets that attitude.
The reason Hilaros is translated at cheerful is because that’s what it means.
