Amani is a Kenyan Award winning musician, who is known for her top charting songs that spread across the African region. In 2009, she won the prestigious MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) for best female Artist. So it was quite intriguing when she recently switched to gospel music after been a secular artist for most of her career. She speaks to us on what prompted the huge turnaround and touches on highlights from her career. Amani also talks of her experience with global telecommunication mobile company - Airtel as their brand ambassador, and how that partnership initiated her input to join forces with other A- List African musicians (known as One 8). She reveals details of how they recorded and sang the very successful and popular hit song 'Hands across the World' written by American Artist R Kelly. This and more on The other side of me series.
