    Nice video. Curious,what those black deflectors are used for at the engine exhaust.

      goutvols103 Thank you! They are called Thrust attenuators. When the engine is at idle the attenuators are deployed to maintain taxi speed and they help the aircraft slow down, They do not produce any forward thrust they only reduce the amount of reward thrust at idle. Apparently the engines output a decent anount of power while at idle.

      @@cpocketts Yes, and also helps to shorten the landing run. The CJ2+ does not have the thrust attenuators as it is equipped with FADEC, which allows the engines to have much lower thrust at idle.

    Never liked those ugly black thrust attenuators on these, but Cessna came with a solution for this - much better Williams engines and the CJ2+ airframe.
