Due to the same problem of less confidence and fear I got 2-3 mcqs wrong and lost neet ug 2024😢
I joined my Internal Medicine residency when I was 31. Long story short- I graduated in 2014. I gave my USMLEs (Step 1 was a mediocre to bad score, Step 2 was a good score), went to the US in 2016. Struggled for 2 whole years before I got a residency in Internal Medicine on my 3rd attempt. Did 15 months of that. Came back to India in Feb 2020, for a scheduled visa change and then, well the rest is history. When the National Immigration service opened up, they gave me a date for an interview in 2024. I was like fuck it, Im sitting and giving my NEET PG. Imagine, being 30, just a plain MBBS, and giving this stupid exam all over again. And well, thats exactly what I did. This time, all the experiences you have had in your past, shape you and change you. You lose the anxiety and what ifs, focus on the pertinent permanents and just gun for it. I got a 288 rank in my INI CET and a 1600 rank in NEET PG 2021. Moral of the story- You're never too old, just matured, like wine. So kudos to you and your struggle, your story shows growth. I bet you're gonna be great in residency. Cheers!

I am currently 22..... zoology graduate.....nah toh MSc karni thi aur nhi professor net main interest thi kabhi bhi.....phir bhi lockdown ke chalte coaching nhi li college main just from fillup kiya mil gyi first list pe.... gharwalo ne bola ghar ayi Laxmi ko nhi bhejte.....pata nhi kiya karungi main us degree ki....mujhe zoology subject se payar hai bas us field se nhi....
Ajib si pagalpan chadh rhi hai jo dream dekh nhi paa rahi thi....kiya neet pe baith jau....waise bhi ghar pe Dharti ke bojh hun no friends,no social lives....jidhar bhi jau peer pressure jobs ke,higer study ke ya phir marriage ke liye.....
If anyone of u have any suggestion for a zoology graduate share some..... desperately need to get out from my room.....pagal ho jaungi warna....job chahiye,ways nhi mil rahi.....koi aur field or degree jo bhi helpful rahe job ke liye.....neet ka man hai per 22 year's age pe rat race pe jaane ka man nhi.....

I wanted to clarify something, why didn't you continue residency in the US after all that you had invested in it? I couldn't understand the immigration interview date part?
@ananya5785 Thank you so much for that. The immigration system in the US can be extremely complex. The traditional path is getting a J1 during residency, then an H1 post residency, and then a green card for which the waiting list is forever (20-40 years) and not garunteed, and 5 years after a green card, you are eligible citizenship.
In consultation with my residency program's visa and immigration office, because I was pursuing a PhD alongside my residency, that made me automatically eligible for an O1 visa (meant for candidates with significant scientific contributions)... So I'd have an F1 visa, then O1 visa post residency and green card, all in a span of 5 years. So yeah, I took that offer.
Problem was, Albert Einstein Medical College was run by Yershiva University, which sold to Montefiore in 2019, due to which, my sponsor technically also changed, so I had to retake the visa interview with the new sponsor (just a formality, but yeah, it was complex)
But when I came back to India, lockdown started worldwide, so the immigration service went into shutdown, when things re opened, I was told my interview slot had shifted to 2024, due to a backlog after everything re opened. Those 3 years were something I decided I couldn't wait for. After all my hard work and contributions in life, I was still just a number to them. I was thankful of all the things I learnt in the US and figured that if I could succeed out there against all odds, I can succeed out here in India too. The rest is history.

It's very relatable to me. I passed my MD Medicine in 2015 & working as Physician for 9 years . I needed 4 attempts to get MD Medicine. I just worked in my internship and didn't prepare. In my second attempt I got branches like Surgery, Gynaec etc but wanted only to do Medicine. I thought will surely get Medicine if studied another year but my rank didn't improve. My friends and my parents told me that this my truth and can't do any better. All my friends whom I studied with got good rank on desperation I took MD Psychiatry. I couldn't do it I had severe clinical depression, I left the Psychiatry seat. After that my father said he would not financially support me if I will chase something in bushes when I have one on hand. I had gotten 2 months of stipend ( it was 29k in 2011) and barrowed some money from my best friend. I studied for 4 months I got about 600 AIR . I was sure of two things during these hardships 1. What I wanted 2. That failures were not my full potential. When remember that past part of my life it feel likes a movie. Hope this inspires someone

Congrats. I did mbbs from Russia 2013-2019, passed FMGE in December 2019 (first attempt), did 1 year unpaid internship in Delhi, mostly prepared at home for 2.5 years and prepared with marrow but joined JRship twice because staying at home was boring and I needed money to be a little financially independent. I wrote NEET PG thrice in 2021, 2022 and 2023. My marks were 371, 491 and 571 and ranks were approx 55.5K, 13.5K and 5K. Currently I have almost completed first year of DNB Radiodiagnosis [I had joined on 5th October 2023]. Mujhe 2022 mein dmrd mil raha tha but hospital mujhe bilkul Accha nahi laga so I swore ki bas 1 baar aur dedeta hun and radio/medicine/pathology Jo milega lelunga.

Your video is so inspiring..! I don't (anymore) have that 'oh but you're already so so age' complex anymore but mild icky anxiety about it does creep in every now and then..=/. But watching your video now soothes that because I'm actually always(and hopefully will always be) in touch with my silly childish self. Here's my story , I hope it helps someone. I finished my internship in 2022 and got a rank of 33k with it. That was very good for me considering I was hardly preparing for NEET and studying only in the last months during University exams.
Then I took a drop started studying and due to some reasons I literally could not study almost 3 months between the drop(That was October to Jan). The exam happened on 3rd March and I again got a rank of 33k(Well not exactly the previous rank but an improvement of 12 ranks 😂). I knew what I have been through and I hadn't given my best. So I decided to take a drop again. And this year I got a rank of 1795 in INICET and 4419 in NEET.
All I'm trying to say ask yourself whether it was your 100%. If the answer is No , Dude you can pretty much start again and in the long run no one cares how many drops you took.
May you all get what you work hard for. 😊
