He was chasing it since 65cc at Mini O's... was lucky enough to see him then on his #43 Suzuki... and I was once 125A FL State Champ... and I saw this kid for the first time rippin this style that was practically perfect form on point everywhere. He was a solid top 5 around Gatorback during the Mx motos... and maybe podium... but he had the best riding style of them all. And even out of the other classes... I went through the following week reflecting on all the top US Amateur Motocross racers and he kept standing out in my mind as someone that looks like they're already pro... So since then... I followed Eli Tomac and discovered his dad was equally rad on a mtb. Lookin forward to Eli's choice to ride motocross in 2023 or not... Much love for ET3! ✌😎
It’s cool how, since Eli has done it all and stamped his legend status, he can be more open and honest about everything. No pressure, no one can take away what he has accomplished.
Glad to see Eli racing atleast one of these WSX rounds. His confidence is top level right now. Really looking forward to seeing him on the '23 Yamaha 450. It was unbelievable that he didn't have a single issue with his Yamaha indoor or outdoor this year.
If I were ET3, I would do the whole season next year. 1) He is having alot of fun 2) He's at the top of his game 3) He's at the top of his sport. 4) He's making alot of money. 5) He can ride around all year with the #1 plate 6) Additionally, he's a fan favorite I would do the best at giving your family as much time as possible, then continue while you are on top, at least for 2023. I realize it's a real grind. 31+ races is alot but you are young and having the time of your life. What do I know about hard work? In the 80's, while in my 20's, I worked overseas for 7 years, 7 days a week 12 hours a day. I got 5 weeks off each year. It was the most important and formative time of my life and I live comfortably on the beach because of it. Looking back, I wish I could have put in an 8th and maybe 9th year but the installation shut down. He should give it one more year at 99% while he's on top. Just try to avoid the extra 1% when possible. Good luck in the UK and with your decisions.
Awesome interview, Eli looked like he was much more open with this interview. His interviews here in the states he seems like he looks at the reporters as they have an alterier motive. I don’t know. It could be because I see him always post race.
@@pat-dirtybird9116 True but if Kenny actually gives it his all like he used to, then it'll be a good race I promise you. Like the Thunder Valley battle and so many they've had together. It'll be clean and fast.
@@jordanemede yep trye, giving any excuses to anyone but I hated that start it was super short almost like an arenacross start lol but there's more racing, I loved can't wait for more
@@Slipvayne1 it was pretty sick. I agree tho the start straight was very short and funneled in very quickly. I guess you better get into superpole and fvcking send'r
I was watching Eli test his 23 bike at perris an it look much faster an a little quieter for its speed may be it was the lightness i was noticing it looked faster with less effort i was just watching entrance mid corner an exit with a timer in my head an it was noticeble better..to me
idk if i can agree with all the comments...that was kind of an uncomfortable interview. Not that the questions were bad or anything, but just the whole way it wen't down..idk, either way good to hear ET3's thoughts and wish that dude the best for whatever comes next for this legend!!!
Good interview and I just heard JA21 and ET3 here mention $ .. Pay these riders & not just the top 5 ... Make it the top 10 at least get pretty good pay AND not just the factory riders ..
I don’t understand why everyone that has interviewed tomac this year have to say crap about retirement tomac has never said this was going to happen anytime soon but everyone seems to try and put it in his head to try and bring him down mentally 🙄
Good interview he wouldnt day but hes salty....experienced solid rider....so many of us motocross racers ride for the emotion an it easier to overload just a wee bit an that when make a mistake....
Great interview! Eli is a good dude and us U.K fans will show him massive appreciation!
thanX mate, he's our pride and joy, I rode bikes with his daddy 25 years ago..

I think Eli has done more interviews this year than all the other years put together. It has been great!!!

Eli’s a legend in the sport, good hearted, how could anyone dislike him?

There are a lot of subjective complaints with the Yamaha.. reliability isn't one I ever hear. They make a reliable machine.
Comes across a really good guy . All the best Eli
great ambassador for our sport traveling to Cardiff tomorrow looking forward to see them race
It is great Eli to for all your successes............AND YOU NOW HAVE A SMILE ON YOUR FACE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great to see....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great interview mate. Very thoughtful questions.

Nice questions, good preview on the 2023 bike! I am looking forward to it being reviewed formally and seeing how Eli and his teammates do on it!
He will win by more than 15 seconds.
