But then the trial to decide to remove the president takes place in the Senate. This was designed to balance power, but since the Senate is so far up Trumps butt, and entirely corrupt, that balance is lost. The Senate has abdicated all responsibility to the Constitution and the people, and are basically a cadre of bootlicking fascists for the wannabe dictator Chump.
This was the best one yet of the late night press briefing series. They’re all funny, but all the writers really outdid themselves with this one. Didn’t realize how much I needed it.

@@NC-gm2lb the way it works here is we have the House of Representatives, Senate, and President. The House votes to impeach, meaning they charge the president with crimes against the Constitution. But then the trial to decide to remove the president takes place in the Senate. This was designed to balance power, but since the Senate is so far up Trumps butt, and entirely corrupt, that balance is lost. The Senate has abdicated all responsibility to the Constitution and the people, and are basically a cadre of bootlicking fascists for the wannabe dictator Chump.
