Why do gays insist on outing other gays? It's a bizarre kind of persecution. Not every gay man wishes to be an activist and wear his sexuality on his sleeve. Not every gay man regards homosexuality as a social cause. Some prefer to keep their business to themselves, where it belongs.
Everyone should have their own privacy and make their own decisions about how they deal with their sexuality.
However, when a closeted Gay man, in this case Cohen, uses his position of power to harm other Gay people he is fair game to be outed.
And by the way, coming out of the closet doesnt make you an activist. It makes you honest.
Are you talking about what Cohn did to other gays when he outed teachers, politicians etc and referred to all gay men as pedophiles; or are you talking about what is being done to Cohn here?
People sometimes out public figures that are gay because typically, they espouse hateful statements towards gays, make laws that restrict gay rights etc. since the hypocrisy is hard to swallow. He is such a disgusting example of a human

I don't think anyone's 'aim' is to be repulsive. Roy was certainly not a 'sex symbol', but I don't think he especially wanted to be one. He was mainly concerned with power and politics, and ensuring his fame as a 'top lawyer'.
