    Bundles as a block randomizer would be so cool for building. Holding only one stack of items and not making it easy to pull out a specific one really limits it as an inventory management tool, but as a "grab bag" of building blocks it could work quite well.

      @@johnnyrockets6667 There are already plenty of ways to randomize redstone activation, we don't need another redundant feature. The allay gathering specific items over an area can be a very useful mechanic with lots of uses for farms, item sorting, and other builds.

      @@RealDanteS01 There are already plenty of ways to sort items and pick up items, we don't need another redundant feature. The copper golem being able to remotely activate specific redstone items over an area can be a very useful mechanic with lots of uses for farms, and other builds.

      It feels like he's trying to play both sides. That can't be done. It's either slow pace, thorough explanations (which this video should have been) or fast paced with little to no explanation (which this video is just not meant to be). Somr videos are 20 min slow and thorough, some are 5 min barely enough for a video on their own.

    Great video. I wish they would make it possible to craft a horn helmet. Iron helmet plus two horns, that would probably be the best of the special armor pieces in the game (like the Turtle Helmet). Being iron tier, it may end up being something you use for a reasonable amount of time... making it actually worth adding to the game because people would use it constantly. Think about this, Leather can be dyed crazy colors, Gold stops Piglin aggro, Diamond is the highest material tier, Netherite is upgraded diamond armor and can't burn in lava. Iron is the one craftable armor set that doesnt have anything special. Maybe just a cosmetic helmet wouldn't be so bad (:

    I thnik the Bundle is really close to being an finished item/concept but there are a couple of things I would really like to see it have.
    1) Be able to place items directly from the bundle when holding it in your mainhand and clicking with it. The item selected would be any placeable block it contains and chosen at random, this would give a nice tool for builders to texturise with when building.
    2) Abillity to select specific items from within the bundle to take out, could be implemented with the scroll wheel on a mouse (I don't know how it should be implemented for console players etc) and then show a highlight of the item selected from within before it is taken out.
    3) A unique abillity to contain multiple, normally unstackable items i.e. serveral potions of rabbit stew or similar, multiple potions, or an assortment of tools etc.
    I personally don't think this would be unbalanced since you won't be able to use these items directly from within the bundle and when they are taken out of it, they still require the same amount of iventory space as normal, thus it wont be different than from carrying a shulker or two with the same items in.
    4) it should be avaible from the Leatherworker Villager profession at one of its early levels since getting hold of rabbit hide can be difficult depending on what biome a player starts in/has in its immediate surroundings and given the bundle is kinda aimed at being an "early" game variant of the shulker, it should thus also be more accessible.

      Also I think azalea should get its own proper wood type, I personally don't really care what type it is. But it should follow the same trend that has been going on with trees in the game so far, that each get its own unique color and pattern for certain items (doors/trapdoors).

      Agree with everything except 3).
      It would be pretty difficult to implement this change just for some of the items. The bundle essentially lets you combine partial stacks and as of now, stew, tools, etc. simply count as a full stack. If making them bundle-able, they would need to specify a different amount of "stack space" that items require inside and outside a bundle which doesn't really make sense and is just even more confusing.
      I'd rather have them revisit the stackability of some items like stew and making them at least stack to 16 instead of 1.
      It's not like stew is as that much more powerful compared to porkchops or beef that stack to 64. And even (enchanted) golden apples stack to 64. It just doesn't make any sense.
      Oh and according to the Minecraft Wiki, looks like they might actually make potions stack to 16 in the future.

    The problem with shulker splitting on Bedrock is an old bug that gives you 2 (or more) shulkers spawned at the same location throughout an end city. They seem to have patched the bug but still need a way to deal with existing double shulkers end cities with double shulkers that will multiply as soon as the player approaches

      that could be really simple, they could just do something like kill all the shulkers that are in one block except for one, or make them not multiply if the projectile hasn’t gone by a set amount of blocks

New generation shouldn't have the double shulkers but previously loaded end cities in existing worlds need a fix for when the player returns (or Mojang could just let chaos happen). Killing/despawning the extras or making them teleport away would all be possible solutions but they don't seem to have made any progress on this yet

      If they patch something actually helpful, and they say that they dont want to affect chunks the player has done something in (new gen is an exception of course) then why should rhe existing double shulkers be dealt with? Give us the freaking renewability instead of keeping fixing helpful little bugs ffs

    I just figures out the horns use. It opens the portal frame in the deep dark. Sound it while next to the new portal frame in the dark city. Top of mountains to obtain, bottom of world to use. Sounds right, huh?

    I love abandoned structures like the Bastions so I'm excited for the lost cities

    I feel 1-17, 1-18 and the upcoming 1-19 is one of most confusing times for updates due all the features that are delayed
    I have actually ran into a lot of moments where I've tried to do something and have to then look up that a feature I thought was in 1-17 or 1-18 wasn't in those versions and get frustrated

      I’m guessing it might just be because azalea wood would probably look like a in-between color of oak and birch planks, which are already pretty similar in color. Then again, the new mangrove planks look a lot Like jungle. Still, it would’ve been nice to see it added.

      @@snowpeagaming9116 yeah and they can add colors and slight patterns to these woods to make them more distinct. Azalea wood could be tinted a bright green color and a mod made it purpleish. They are probably taking their time designing it. There are lots of wooden objects in the game that seem different to normal wood types like chests which are kinda golden yellow with some greenish patches which i dislike but hey its distinct.

    on azalea wood, I vaguely recall there was an unobtainable "azalea log" item without a texture in one of the snapshots, but apparently it's been removed since, who really knows if we'll ever see it get it's own wood type

    I think the best way for solving the choosing an item issue would be making it placeable. Some people have suggested that scroll wheel should be used to choose what item you want, and this could work on console since the control stick buttons could be used instead, it wouldn’t work on mobile. I think a better solution for it would be to be able to craft bindles, made using a bundle and sticks in a fishing rod formation. It could be placed similarly to how banners are placed, and it would be cool to have it on your offhand and have the player hold it over their shoulder as they walk.

    After thinking about it a while, I feel like bundles absolutely need to solve the biggest issue of inventory management, which is that every building or redstone block has a half-dozen variants that clog your inventory. My current idea is to code it to follow datapack whitelists that are based on material of the items inside, and limit how many kinds of items can go in the bundle.
    For example, put a log or plank inside, and the bundle gets flagged as a 'wood' bundle. From there, mix and match up to 8 varieties of stackables that are on the 'wood' bundle whitelist, like stairs, slabs, doors, etc. You can't stuff cobble in it, though, not without emptying the bundle and reassigning it to 'stone'. Non-stackables and stuff without many variants like ores, treasure items, and mob drops, are naturally limited in their ability to get use out of such a system (for example, a 'bone' bundle could only hold bones, bonemeal, and bone blocks, while a 'diamond' bundle only holds diamonds, diamond ores, and blocks of diamond.)
    It would still need some user friendly adjustments to ensure you get the right items out without dumping the thing, but it would be incredible for building and redstone without being overwhelmingly useful for mining and looting.

      The other advantage of using datapack whitelists is that it's easy to make custom bundles for adventure maps or servers. If you think pressure plates and buttons should be able to bundle up with redstone components, instead of their material or some 'interfaces' whitelist or whatever it ends up being, just change the whitelists to your preference. Maybe make a quest item bundle for that fantasy map you're building. Add your server menu plugin to a bundle that's only taking up one space in the inventory, and players can open it if they need something without adding a whole functional gui to your plugin. Et cetera.

    7:28 Non-stackable items with durability, like armor, tools, elytras etc... being able to be stacked if they have less durability, maybe with a little debuff : we can put 2 items that have 1/4 durability remaining, or maybe just 4 or 8 items max : for example is you want to stack 8 low durability elytras, they have to make 1/8 durability of a normal elytra to all get inside. Or maybe put them together (just as combining them in a crafting table/anvil but we can separate them again) and having 4 or 8 items max inside ?
    Maybe it's not clear at all because I'm french and I'm not sure at all about my grammar and all that stuff, but maybe it's also not clear beacause I would struggle explaining it in french too ! XD (edit : I just tried and I definitly need help in both languages lol)
    (Please, somebody who understood, help me translating that from that to understandable and correct english !!!!)

    I wonder if the horn will act as a "Flash Bang" for the Warden.
    The idea being, that since it's always in a low visibility / low sound area, the sensory overload from the Horn and even Fireworks will "stun" the Warden, giving enough time for the player escape. Interesting!

    It was also possible to place foliage like grass and flowers on snow blocks. In Bedrock Edition you can place snow layers on top of foliage.

      You may only need the skulk shrieker actually, but it's always possible they will change this even further before we get 1.19.

    I definitely approve of being able to empty, and hopefully fill, bundles automatically. If it has its own block, it could have a ui for manually putting in and taking out the items within, as well as the bundle itself, while having settings for auto filling and emptying.

    On the mob farm deal I've found that mobs just walk onto powdered snow like it's any normal block there's no path finding against that specific block the AI thinks it's solid so I've completely changed my spawner and took out any redstone and water not only do I have more space but oddly enough its the same if not more items I'm getting I'm sure there's other grinders that get stuff faster but this way is extremely easy and low risk to make just a bit more time consuming with collecting powdered snow it's only 2 layers for the spawns and I'm just getting so much much stuff from it

    Rays works , skulk and warden detects vibrations , NO sound , Vibrations , and that goat horn sound won t distract the warden in any way , mojang said that themselfs

    The horn could be good for breaking snow layers and activating falling gravel / sand in caves in an aoe, seeing as avalanches can be triggered by sound.
    For bundles maybe let us place them down as a block and interact with it like it's a chest, but have it double a decoration item.

      They could let us craft bindles, being made using a bundle and sticks in a fishing rod formation. The bindle would pretty much be a bundle but placeable in the same way as a banner

    An idea ive given to mod dev about the bundles is to use the scroll wheel to navigate the bundle menu. Kinda likr yhe hotbar but with the bundle selected in the inventory gui

    I didn't quite understand the mob spawning change. So mobs at y64 have a higher spawn chance, then it distributes outward? I'm making a perimeter atm (first layer done, to about y8, am going to make a second to y-64) so I want to know where I should put my farms, and I am a bit confused...
    Should I put a layer of glass above the farms so then that is treated as the top block?

      No, I think it's quite the opposite.
      I'm no technical player, all I'll say is from my memory.
      But anyway, I believe whenever the game tries to spawn a mob, it chooses a random location in a chunk between the bedrock level and the highest block. If there's a platform at y -64 and no blocks above, the game has just a square of blocks to work with, and it will spawn mobs pretty consistently.
      Now if the highest block is at.. idk, y 50, then the game has a huge area of potential spawn places, yet 90% of it is just air, so most of the spawn attempts will fail, and only a few of those attempts would successfully happen on the platform.
      Again, I might be wrong, I've done 0 research, but what I said kinda makes sense, I think.

    Ray please add a column in the farms document for if the farm still works in the latest version! I hope this isn't asking too much, I just really don't want to rely on either the comment section or building it in my testing world just to learn if it works or not.

    I didnt understand the mobspawning part, I have build an witherfarm and spawnproof almost everywhere up to 128 block away. But the farm is much slower then I build it for some versions ago. what can be wrong?

    If I were to guess, the best way to survive a warden would be with arrows of turtle master. You won't be able to kill it but you can slow it.

      I mean, who says we *can’t* kill it? Sure we’re not supposed to, but we’ve obtained bedrock, and that wasnt supposed to happen.
      Just saying, an end game player who’s bored can probably kill a warden with ease; that video shown only showcases unenchanted stuff, so full enchanted armor, weapons and tools, beacon effects, lava, sunlight (confirmed to be undead), potions, or even multiple players will likely be able to kill it in survival
      And if not, well there’s always creative mode and /kill lmao

    The goat horn and all of the warden blocks are in bedrock experimental. Frogs have also already come to bedrock.

    0:47 seems like the Warden farm will more easily because no other hostile mobs don't spawn in deep dark biome.

      Warden farms will not produce items, and will be worse than even a silverfish farm.

      @@jwjwjw28 The devs explicitly stated they do not want to encourage farming the warden at all, and that was why they decided not to have it drop items, but rather to put the rare drops that it might have dropped into the city chests instead!

    The warden doesn't use noise it uses vibrations which would allow it to bear noise through air but it is more about feeling the vibrations

    Bundles! Either fewer slots and allow stackables, or 64 slots and no stacking seems fair. Or maybe add a rare & expensive enchantment the makes a bundle into a 'magic' bundle where the 64 slots now allow stacks? ALSO, I want to dye them for better visual organization.

      @@timohara7717 Piston extensions, projectile landing, dispensers can produce vibrations, the concept of a clock decoy is still plausible unless they make it specifically prioritise specific types of vibrations.

    i really wish azalea trees had like a true baby pink wood, I've want pink wood in vanilla since I've started playing minecraft and all that we keep getting is variations of the jungle and acacia wood which is slightly annoying tbh

    My reply about azalea. It would be very nice to have such a tree with type of wood, because I think that if a tree has no type of wood and can't be used in any crafting recepie, then it's a bush. Just, azalea isn't a tree for me yet. A decoration? Maybe! The wood(I think) should be very light brown with green particles. That's only my opinion, so...

    I find it funny and sad how people criticize video game companies for crunch and mismanagement of their employees, but when mojang decided to delay these features to make them better while also not overworking their devs, I see many people complain about mojang being lazy. I honestly would rather have a late update than a half-assed one.

    Only empty bundles should be able to go inside another bundle, and not stack. So an empty bundle could hold 64 empty bundles. (I like to say bundle)

      The warden isn’t meant to be killed, so the devs don’t want to encourage killing it by giving it a drop
      The loot in the Ancient Cities will be the reward for dealing with it, and we can only guess what loot there’ll be!

      @@BigMastah79 Yeah, I think they were considering a trophy at one point but the idea has always been to discourage killing it. I like it that way, it’s a unique experience that feels similar to a boss fight in some ways, and rewards the player by evading it instead of killing it

    idk if this is a more unpopular opinion, but the teasers for 1.19 content frustrate me when we haven't even gotten completed versions of previous updates or seen the new biomes / features. Just makes me worried that focus is spread all over

    Being able to click an item out of the bundle is not overpowered. Your not holding stacks upon stacks of an item inside the bundle like the shulker box.
    Not only that, the bundle should have the capability to hold 1.5/2 stacks instead. It does not break Minecraft to have more inventory and should not be seen as a bad thing. People have complained about the inventory over and over. Mojang proceeds to make an item to "quell the issue" that doesn't actually solve our problem.

    7:20 I dont think "overpowered" applies here. Overpowered for what? How would it detract from the game? Imo such a utilitarian item should be that easily accessible so that its actually useful. If you make it any more difficult to get, people just wont use it, except in fringe scenarios where it might maybe be kind of useful. Like nobody uses scaffolding, because its tied to bamboo, which only spawns in one of the rarest biomes, so its really annoying to get it, but scaffolding is something that is really convenient when you do have it. Its stupid that its so rare to get. This is the type of thing that mojang keeps getting wrong imo. Its not balancing its just making things more annoying for no reason.
