Many years ago I used to take Ambien to help me sleep. I suffer from severe insomnia. One night I literally woke up in my car, was driving and in my pajamas. I had no clue where I was as nothing looked familiar. I kept driving until I reached a highway. I had ended up on some county road in Denton, TX and at the time I lived in Rowlett, TX. I had absolutely no recollection of how I got there, if I ran any red lights, etc. To this day I still have no recollection of those 5 to 6 hours and it scared the crap out of me. I have never taken Ambien since. To me this story is totally believable!!
This ambient 8 hours videos ( including Christian one) contains coded subliminal message, and it is satanic message.
I won’t be going into details explaining how I know, but that’s true unfortunately.

This movie is based on the story of Kenneth Parks from Toronto who in 1987 drove 15 miles to his in laws in a sleep state. He murdered his mother in law and attempted to murder his father in law while still in a sleep state. The defense presented strong scientific evidence and he was acquitted of both.
Something similar happened in the UK. It was a senior man who murdered his wife while she slept (and he was apparently sleepwalking). The show that I watched did not reveal his name, but he was also acquitted.
I find it very difficult to believe
I read the book & he was very close to his mother in-law & his wife was making him the next morning go tell her parents that they were in major dept due to his gambling which put him under tremendous stress which can make sleep walking worse. He also had a family history of sleep walkers.

The jury couldn't get over how he hid curxal evidence in his car. If he hadn't done that, he probably would've been acquitted. I watched a documentary about the case and they interviewed jury members.
Had a similar experience riding my bicycle home from the theater. I traversed a two mile stretch of road with no awareness of having done so. My next moment of awareness (of anything) since leaving the theater and mounting my bicycle was at a bar and grill-- two miles away. I had ridden a bicycle (my sole means of transportation) for many years and so believe I had well developed instincts that prevented me from winding up in an accident. In Mark's situation I'm thinking that because he had no parents of his own and was so well received by his in-laws, he feared their rejection of him if they found out the trouble his gambling situation had caused. And so in order to avoid this rejection he had to eliminate them. No in-laws, no rejection; somehow in his mind the solution to an unspoiled relationship. Given the likely preposterousness of the situation presented herein, I think the acting was well done (all around) so as to give the viewer pause, thus taking the viewer as far as any movie could.

I can relay to this story.
3 years ago, my son had this sleep walking. He were on holiday and staying in a hotel 66km away from home. On that night he said he saw something or someone in our room. He tried to wake us but to no avail. In the morning, he found himself on his own bed 66 miles away from us. Till this day, neither of us could understand how he managed to reach and drove past 2 police Road block (at that time, it was still the pandemic where road blocks are frequent). He don't even remember what actually happened and how he got onto his own bed 🤔🤔🤔
This is insane you can get away from a crime just because you're sleepwalking.

I have slept before but never did anything crazy, woke-up & realized I was sleep walking. I've heard this can actually happen.
I used to get up in my sleep and not realize I was on the phone talking to people and didn’t even realize I did that …it happened for several years. Happily I don’t do that anymore!

I personally think it is possible as I saw with my own eyes my ex was sleeping walking and doing silly things like eating from the fridge and flying like a plane on the bed. He had it since he was a child. He never remembered, I recorded him talking to me and then going back to bed. He will wake me up for any reason like having someone who was chasing us with a knife and we had to run, I had to calm him down and convince him to go back to sleep. I found it funny and we laugh about it the next morning.

My son has always been a sleep walker. When he was a teen it was actually scary because he'd get up and fry eggs. Somehow, he never started a fire, but yeah, I've seen him function on a crazy level while he was completely oblivious. People who've never dealt with that don't understand.

Sleepwalkers do some weird stuff. There was a lady in Enid, OK who would go across the street to a vacant lot and cut the brush and the grass and be terribly exhausted the whole day. I knew one guy who would fall asleep at the wheel of his truck. Someone tried to waken him and he smacked him. He even admitted himself that wakening him could be perilous. In this case it seems extreme but----there are alotta things we still don't really know about! WOW!
Yes but being married,having relatives and his age yet just started sleep walking time of the murders....It don't happen like that an let's say he did before which he never but if did he could have got help so this could have been prevented.
Freaky! I was a sleepwalker as a child and so was my son. I left the house once and my parents found me standing up against the house. When our son was 6 we heard him at the back door, he had his boots and winter coat on, ready to head out the door. Neither of us remembered anything. We both still talk in our sleep though. I'm 45 and he's 20.

You know what's sad about this movie is that the kids didn't even have a tear coming out of their eyes for the mother. And two grown adults living in their parents home would not go downstairs to help their own mother or their father when they heard him screaming because they were afraid. Especially the son, you wake up in the middle of the night here your mother screaming for help even if there's someone in the in the sun wouldn't even come out of his room to try and help because they were afraid something does not seem right about this movie. In her husband left she didn't hear him starting the car and he's asleep Walker and she's never the wife has never noticed him sleep walking before this was the first time and then all the sudden it just goes and kills his in-laws. Boy this movie is the most heartless insensitive no real tears from the two grown children living in the home. The guy's wife which is also a daughter no tears. If this were alive and real events that happened the least they could have done is found found some actors that knew how to cry and make it least one tear. I think it was something very suspicious about the older siblings in the home that wouldn't even go downstairs and help especially the elder son. Anyway my thoughts on this

Not taking up for them by any means, but maybe the rest of the family upstairs thought it was an intruder, and feared for their own lives, "frozen in fear," syndrome. IMO
Their doors were closed. 3,4 in the morning is when people are sleeping very tight. Screams scare. They were very young, I think it's completely normal to react with prudence or fear, only when you are impulsive or trained do you react in another way. Brave is rare.
Why his first sleep walking event as an adult had to be murdering someone, he has a nasty temper. They say he's usually loving so shouldn't his regular actions be reflecting a loving person? Why didn't his pain wake him up 😢
About sleepwalking;one night I heard my little daughter get out of bed to go to the bathroom 🚽. The bathroom was right across the hall from her room but she passed the bedroom and went down the hallway, across the den, into the kitchen and was about to pee in the broom closet before I stopped her. She’s 53 now and I’m sure she would love 💕 that I’ve shared this story 😅. I remember one time when I sleep 😴 drove. I was tired 🥱 and driving home 🏡 one night. I remember driving past a place where an gasoline plant had been but had closed. It was about 5 or 6 miles on the highway from my home 🏡. The next thing that I was aware of was waking up in my garage with the car still running. I had driven down the highway,made a turn off the highway, made 2 more turns up into my curved driveway and into my garage safely; yet I don’t remember a thing beyond the time I passed that gas ⛽️ plant until I woke up in my garage. 😳😳😳😱😱😱😲😲😲

I had a similar experience. I had about 3/4 of a mile left to go, and then I fell asleep while driving. I ended up in my parking space at the apartment and my husband found me out there 2 1/2 hours later, and I was still sleeping. I always say Jesus drove me home that day.

Such a fascinating story. I don't know what to believe. In this movie they say sleepwalkers have an 'unknown fear'. I was a sleepwalker when I was a child. I never remembered any of my actions, my mother would tell me in the morning. One of the incidents involved me throwing my bedroom curtains open and yelling, The girls are coming! The girls are coming! My mother said I was terrified, and she had to assure me and calm me down that there was nobody outside. Another time I slept walked into my brother's room, opened his bottom drawer, took out a t-shirt, walked down the stairs, and gave it to my mom. I turned around, went back up the stairs, and was back in my bed sleeping when my mom came up to check what the heck was going on and discovered my brother's drawer left open. We would just laugh about what I did and said because it sounds so bizarre.
You just reminded me of a friend I had as a kid. Her parents were downstairs watching tv one day when she comes down the stairs, throwing her arms up as if she's holding a shotgun, pointing it at them and announces "I'm off to hunt some elk!", and then she left and went back to bed. Her father was a hunter, so I guess that might have inspired it somehow. Either way, it was a funny story.

There was an Criminal Mind's episode when Thomas Gibson played Agent Hodges where an Unsub that worked for NSA released chemicals in unsuspecting houses.
They were people that had nightmares about monsters in their childhood. The victim's thought people that lived with them, because of the nature of the Chemical dropped in their house; had become their Living Nightmare's and so sadly one guy hadn't even known He killed his mother because he thought She was his Monster from childhood he saw in his Dreams was Real.
Criminal Mind's was about The Science of Profiling that The Behavior Analysis Unit of The FBI uses to figure out Why Unsub's Kill the way they Do it's getting into a mind of a Killer that's scarier than Alice in Wonderland show got so good a A Man who was 10 year's old observed mommy cheating smart mom took her with Him; so when and accident occurred driving back to the dad he got out of seat belt and stood on her head so she drowned then climbed out of the car.
That's how deep Criminal Mind's went and remember to do these type of Crime Dramas They need Experts who actually work as FBI Profilers The B.A.U in Quantico.
That chemical episode involving unsuspecting families that was horrifying and heartbreaking they didn't go too Sleep saying they wanted to kill their love one's they just went off to bed.
If Criminal Mind's is on Netflix look that series up I can't tell you what season it was in but, it was right before Thomas Gibson was forced too leave Criminal Mind's for a choking incident with an Stunt man that was crazy maybe something's shouldn't be made into a series.

There are so many things we still don't know about the brain. We didn't get a very good history from the Dad. Eye witness accounts when someone is in a great amount of stress has also been known to not be very reliable. People are also capable of doing very strange things when sleep deprived so we may never really truly know the truth in this case. As far as we know Mark has never committed another crime!
You are right, the brain is an amazing thing. Did you ever hear about the story of a guy who went to university, found the love of his life, got married and had two children with her. 10+ years later he came home one day from work with a massive headache and passed out on the floor of his bedroom. When he woke, he was back at his university and had been informed that he had suffered a blow to his head. At the hospital, he was asked a series of question and soon realized that the whole thing was a dream. Meeting his wife, getting married. have two kids. This poor guy to had to go to therapy to mourn the loss of the family he never had.

If you have a spare minute i do recommend this channel. It has interesting true stories that can be hard to believe. One thing about this channel is he usually gives names so it can be verified
Sleep is meant to be a relief. Repression is very dangerous, as we know now. People who can't sleep well need to be helped, but they need to be willing.
People never want to acknowledge the one other possibility , that he was possessed by a demon for those hours he couldn't remember .

when youre dreaming, you dream things that youre thinking about but they are always interpreted differently in the dream. Sleepwalkers physically act out their dreams sometimes, especially while under stress. I think he was acting out his dream, the anxiety and not wanting to tell them about it
It happens very rarely but I tend to sleepwalk when I'm really stressed or anxious about something. While I haven't acted out violently at those times, I do do weird things and I have seen some really terrifying things while sleepwalking.
Contrary to what the experts say in this movie, I can remember the things I saw or did while sleepwalking afterwards (there is only one instance where I blacked out and didn't remember).
It is a very strange feeling to sleepwalk. On one hand, everything you see and do feels like a dream (and this is especially true when you have scary visions that distort your surroundings or the people who happen to be near you) but at the same time it's somewhat different. I can't really explain it. With this in mind though, I can definitely see how it would be possible for someone to commit murder while sleepwalking. Like I said; I haven't acted violently while sleepwalking, but I have done some really weird things like cleaning or going on a rampage in my ex's laundry basket (of all places..🤦♀😂).
It is easy to be critical and rational when thinking back on things you've done while sleepwalking, but in the moment even the weirdest of actions (like getting up in the middle of the night to change a lightbulb because it absolutely can not wait until the morning) make perfect sense to you.
Even if you've never sleepwalked, think about the strangest dream you've ever had and how every action you did in that dream made perfect sense to you in that moment, even if you would never do the same thing in real life. It's the same when you sleepwalk - except you actually get up out of bed and perform the action in real life without realizing it. Your head and mind are dreaming while your body is fully awake and acting on the dream.
It's all fine and dandy when all you're doing is making a sandwich or taking out the trash, but it's pretty scary to think about the potential of what you could do in this state.
My son used to sleep walk sometimes when he was 4. He would be walking around with his eyes wide open, but refused to believe I was his mother. Apparently my brother used to sleep walk when he was young too and my mother found him in front of the television seated on the floor watching the blank screen, with eyes open but asleep

That's called appeal to authority fallacy. First, the true story is about Scott Falater, who killed his wife. He tried to cover up his tracks is only one of many reasons he was found guilty. All one has to do is go to Google Scholar and research violent sleepwalking. Homicidal sleepwalking is not even a DSM-V disorder. There are about 68 cases of "suspected" incidents but good science has shown nothing to back that up. There are 350 million people in the US, 7 billion world wide, and 68 cases of "suspected" incidents lol. And what little articles are published have such small sample sizes there are too many confounding variables to even list and nothing but pseudoscience has been extracted. The real experts have spoken, and this man got what he deserved.

I’ve slept walked in my bed and I’m always playing on my phone and that’s what I find myself doing, playing on my phone. Today I sleepwalked in my bed and saw my brother trying to rise from the dead and I kept telling him, “don’t you dare”. He would do it again and I would say “don’t you dare” until I got up to prevent it from happening again. It was so real!
Since seeing this Unsolved Mystery about 2000 something I watched a documentary on different variation's of forms of Sleeping while doing something else.
There's Sleep Running 9 out of 10 people who suffer from that documented Medical Condition wind up dead because they don't even know what they're doing such as Running one young man tragically ran out of his Campus dorm room at 2:00 a.m. or 4:00 a.m. sleep running as though fleeing for his life and ran straight into a Truck was killed instantly.
There was Sleep Walking like in this case featured on Unsolved Mysteries some do die as a result of this condition and other's are capable of this action.
I did see a comedic form of Sleep Walking on the Comedy Show Two in a half Men when Alan Harper still in emotional turmoil over getting thrown out and reeling from the divorce began responding with all the stress he felt by Sleep Walking apparently Alan got up and Vaccumed the living room because of Dust bunnies everywhere; and the Vaccum wasn't even plugged up.
Another point into the episode Alan got up in the middle of the night Sleep Walked into the kitchen to make A Birthday Cake 🎂.
Each time Alan couldn't remember he even Sleep Walked.
The older brother Charlie had too ask their mother about his Sleep Walking the mom was such a harpy of a mother she allowed Alan too Sleep Walk after their father died till he was 13 year's old because he began taking those Long Shower's (some people really shouldn't be parent's).
The third one I found out about was much more frightening too me; Sleep Sexing, I'm not joking it's a part of the medical condition's of Sleep Running & Sleep Walking.

Memories are erased someone tell's that person what they did last night or the previous week before.
Sleep Sexing is quite similar in fact it's dangerous for people to be around other people in the evening especially Women children should never be around them when in bed, just hanging out because as is demonstrated in this movie their incredibly Hercules & Samson's.

I sleep walk. Iv cooked, cleaned, done washing. Iv been found wandering round the streets in my pjs looking for my dog. My dog was at home. Iv turned up at friends places in the middle of the night, having driven there. I’d wake up in my car at unknown places and not know how I got there. Iv broken my ankle falling down the stairs in my unit block. I woke up with two fractured cheekbones and broken nose after falling into the pantry door. I know this cos it woke me up. I also walked straight off a 3 metre cliff and was found unconscious at the bottom. I spent a week in the trauma ward. I had a fractured cheek bone, dislocated shoulder and elbow. Fractured eye socket. Massive black eyes and layers of skin off my face, arms, legs and my back. Cuts and bruises all over. Unless you sleep walk or have studied it, you can’t really have much say
The police had to put my name and address in their computer and that I was a sleep walker so they knew I wasn’t drugged or drunk. I wear a bracelet with my name and mums number on it. On the front it says sleep walker. I’m a massive insomniac and two days of no sleep often brings it on

I remember when I was in boarding school I slept right next to a classmate who was a sleepwalker. Very often he got up overnight and walked tiptoed between floors. I remember him making jokes about his sick situation. I had to protect myself surrounded by suitcases so that he could fall and woke up. For several months I couldn´t sleep well The teaching staff did not dare to do much because they didn´t have much of an idea of what should be done in those cases.

Frankly this is BS!!!! I have some family who slept walk when was young and I know a couple of friends who have this issue, but all stay in limited perimetral areas. No one went far out of a house. Even thinking that he slept walk for hrs took a car drive miles went to another house murdered one person and attempted to murder one, cut his hands to the bone and didn’t wake up at least for the pain or screams, IS LITERALLY UNREAL!!!! He was lying, and anyhow he could do it again and always could be a danger to society
This is possible. My son has this sleepwalk and when asked, he even answered. Eyes are opened but you can really see he's sleepwalking. He even went to the kitchen, tried to reach something. This is not always, this will occur at the moment, he's so stressed in the day.

Some people have a closed mind. Because they don believe it, or never experienced it, the "saying not possible! For those people living in a bubble I won't even comment on. HOWEVER, the fact that the prosecutors wouldn't even accept, and hid their own expert(doctor's) report shows they too had a closed mind, and had already made up their minds up!
This happens often in any cases, and because of it, a lot of innocent people have been convicted, or some put to death because of it.
Thank goodness this jury listened to the facts and expert testimony of the doctor( no matter how the prosecutor tried to muffle or twist his report-the same report their own expert gave them). Some Prosecutors only care about stats.Those are the ones that we don't need.
As far as her siblings never reconciling with her, they should seek therapy. To stay bitter for that long leaves them in bondage.
I am glad her Dad reconciled with her. She was good person; a woman her parents taught her to be. She honored her vows, for better or for worse. But mist of all, she didn't close her mind to possibilities.God Bless her.

The fact that he held the knife by the blade alone coupled with the grunting sounds makes me believe he was sleepwalking. So sad
very confusing, how can a man who is said to be unconscious as a result of sleepwalking and then stabbing his in-laws, can be released just like that, the consequences of which can do terrible things to his children and wife without him knowing it again, the court is really ridiculous

In my childhood, I got an episode of sleepwalking ...
I was in bed,then stood up , folded my duvet, and put it on my piano,then I was back to bed and continued to sleep. I felt cold, but I didn't realize why... I woke up in the morning and found my duvet on my piano...😂! I never got this kind of experience again!
As a kid, I used to sleepwalk whenever I was under stress. I have opened doors and climbed down steps even according to my late mother. That's why I'm afraid to live alone. I have even opened pots and pans and ate out of the refrigerator in my sleep up until my late 30s. Maybe it has stopped, but I make sure someone is in the room with me when I sleep, so no accidents can happen.

I remember when seversl children: family members = niece and nephew's slept over at my house. And, an ex's daughter as well. Several of them sometimes would sleep walk. I was told not to wake them, simply just coach them back to bed. When awake the next day I'd ask them if they remembered any of it. Each one that slept walked always answered they had no recollection of any of it.
My ex said the same thing about me, once.

As for stress factors: stress can do all sorts of damages to a person's body. I strongly assume that sleep walking can be infliced by major stress. For sure when the children did it major change's were happening in their like at the time they would sleep walk.
Only one of the time's I did do I not remember any of it. The other few time's I was medicated. One of the times I do not remember. I made a huge mess in the kitchen! The other two times I do remember, vaguely. I also remember waking myself up a few time's talking in my sleep. Once I woke myself literally laughing in my sleep! LOL
It hasn't happened in a long time!

The wife doesn't seem to worry about, iI the husband gets acquitted, that he might murder her, too, in his sleep, or their baby. Letting him go seems horribly irresponsible, just b/c he was sleeping. Dead is still dead, even tho he didn't mean it. Truth is, he's dangerous to himself and others.

Milton Erickson M.D. was considered the foremost authority on hypnosis and hypnotherapy in the USA. He could induce deep cataleptic trance phenomena such as amnesia as well as phenomena like time distortion, anaesthesia, age regression etc. He was a prominent advocate of the reality of the unconscious mind and the extent to which it was behind so much of everyday life without people being aware of this. However he said that it was impossible to get anyone to do something they found unconscionable no matter how deeply they were in hypnosis. I believe he would have rejected this man's claim that he wasn't responsible for his actions whilst somnambulistic. I suspect that Mark did quite a bit of research into his sleepwalking condition and used this knowledge to create an alibi for his actions, and there was a motive-insurance. He was a con artist, someone who stole from his wife and employer, a charming manipulator.
So many times my son went to the basement , got all kind of raw food from the big fridge and started cooking in his sleep. Happened 5 or 6 times while he was in high school.

Lauren continues to believe Mark was sleep walking when he killed her mother and attacked her father. Of course, she does. Poor girl. She absolutely HAS to believe that. She couldn't live with herself if she didn't.
She believed it because experts confirmed the diagnosis after extensive testing. Her sister even confirmed the grunting noises by him that night. Plus, the expert for the prosecution couldn't even rebut the sleepwalking allegation. Since high school and years of marriage, he never showed that tendency to her or her family before then either. 70 of these cases happen every year.

it happened to me when I was a kid I dont remember anything to this day I didn't kill anyone or hurt anyone but my mom was scared to death she said my pupils turned black and I was just screaming and hiding. it happens and nobody knows why it happened to me to this day

He was raised without knowing his father and must have lost his mother around 12. He starts lying, stealing and gambling with a baby and a recent marriage. I think there is a possibility that there might have been repressed memories of pain and loneliness that were poured upon a stable marriage - parents in law - that had what he was fearing to lose.
How many times would he have had to ring the bell at 3 or 4 in the morning, before someone opened? How would A. open at that time without telling her husband someone was at the door, and how could she have known it was him - Mark - before standing up, if he left the car far from the front door, making it hard to see the lights or hear the motor?
A very sad story. It ended up well for him. At 20 you still aren't a mature adult. This experience may have opened his eyes to something he alone had to do. The love of his wife and daughter may have helped him get there.
As it was said, the mind is a mystery. But when this mystery is the mystery we live with, we need to understand something.

Everyone’s probably thinking he’s lying.
The doctors sleep walking study that showed Mark had 30% whatever when children have 40%. That was enough to convince Lauren that Mark was really sleep walking. Honestly , assuming it happened and wasn't just part of the Hollywood show of this movie, it was enough to convince me. So, WHY didn't the defense show it in court and WHY didn't Lauren explain to her family that was what convinced her??
