Please be careful when removing the magnet from the window with your credit card. The magnet can short out the card strip

@@jg2105 good to know! Next time I’ll use a store loyalty card or a credit card I don’t like 😂

    • @shubinternet

Only the mag stripes on old credit cards should be vulnerable to being wiped by a rare earth magnet of the type shown here. Newer cards should have much more robust magnetic stripes - if the cards also have chips embedded (for “chip-n-PIN” or “chip-n-sign” use cases), or if they are tap-enabled (e.g., they have a wireless symbol printed on them), then they should most likely be fine.
Nevertheless, I keep all my cards in protective RFID blocking sleeves, and I would never voluntarily get them close to any kind of a strong magnet.

Next time you’re trying to separate strong magnets, try sliding them past each other.
Back in the late 1980s, I was working as an intern at a hard drive manufacturer, and managed to snag some of the super-strong rare earth magnets they used to control the drive armatures. When you attach those to a fridge, it is humanly impossible to pull them apart - unless you can slide the magnet to the edge, where you can reduce the surface area that is connected, and thus weaken the magnetic attachment to the point where you can actually separate them.

I have used the placing magnets on the edge of a fridgetop method. Pull/push down on the one over the edge of the fridge, getting some room to push against the one supported by the fridge and continue in opposite directions. Also, this has a lot of potential to be worked into an act. Definite comedic potential.

Hi there, awesome video! I have a question that I didn't get from watching it. Is the ball magnetic all over and in any orientation? Or is there like a magnet in the ball at a specific spot that you need to hit for it to stick? Greetings :-)

I see a lot of comments denying her referring to herself as an "amateur hobby juggler", as if it's a self-deprecating comment; however, the terms "amateur" and "hobby" do not mean "without skill", but rather something like "doing it for the love of it". She uses those words quite properly here and is not proclaiming a lack of skill

Seems like the medium magnets would be well placed on your feet. You would need less accuracy to stall the ball on your foot this way, and a nice solid kick would give more power for release than an elbow pop.

  • @antheapotter8406

What about a trick with a medium magnet inside your shoe? I doubt the light magnet would be strong enough through leather, but the medium strength could be perfect.
My other thought would be juggling something magnetic or with a magnet and purposefully collide objects while juggling, to turn say a 4 object into a 3 object pattern.
