Yes!!! When the pre order option stayed on so as soon as they pulled up the orders it was just nonstop freaking chaos! Jeremy convinced me that he was LEGIT pissed off in that whole scene. I wouldn’t be surprised if this show doesn’t get recognized JUST from that one scene alone. So good!!!
Some episodes invoke anxiety inside of me. Mostly was because i cared for the characters, affraid they may fck things up, or things may go wrong for them. The writing is so good, it hooks me in every episode
My boy Jeremy went from the badass Lip for 11 seasons of shameless, to a very accurate portrayal of a chef. Unbroken. Stressed. Frustrated. Bro deserved those awards.
The concept feels fresh. The writing is incredible. I’m anxious af during kitchen scenes and I was triggered af watching “fishes”. Man it’s really good.
As someone who spent the better part of my 17 years waiting tables working in the fine dining scene, I can confirm that this show is 100% accurate and true to form in its description of (that kind of) restaurant life. It was so surreal to watch at times. It was like I was there.
"This is marketed as a comedy drama, but in the end, this is a drama with a few hilarious bits" That seems like the explanation of a comedy drama with extra steps
Questions 1. Given Carmy's background as a world-renowned chef, wouldn't he have enough savings to invest in the restaurant? 2. Why does Carmy seem to be struggling financially as if he had been jobless before inheriting the restaurant? 3. Considering the debts and financial needs of the restaurant, why isn't there any scene showing Carmy contributing from his own pocket to upgrade the restaurant?
I Started My Apprenticeship Over a Month Ago The First Thing The Head Chef Told Me Was if We Scream Shout and Each other It's Not Personal It Means We are Busy. He said If There's a Fight Come Back the Next day Continue like it never Happened. We See Each other More Than We See Our Familes. My Boss You Can See The Stress on His Face and From what The Other Apprentice has told me He's Never Blown Up At Anyone. Thank God
When I google it and it is labeled as a comedy drama it genuinely pisses me off. That gives the wrong idea of what it's like. There is nothing in the show that indicates it as being a comedy. It uses humor geniusly and the jokes are always great but 99% of it is serious heart felt story telling and it's perfect for it.
AMAZING!! First 2 series where mind blowing in writing to visual story telling, I can't wait for the next season, there not an actual release date yet but I'm hoping it's going to be late 2024 🤞 #insanelyamazing
I though people were overreacting at first and binge watched both seasons within a couple of days. It felt so cinematic and everything was portrayed SO well. Probably my favorite show of all time
Shameless was way late into it's run by the time I had heard about it, so I skipped it. Jeremy Allen White was fantastic in this show, I only wish I had been able to see his performance in Shameless because I clearly missed out.
I almost turned it off because it was my nuclear family playing their usual games. I will never watch h that episode again. It was that true to life and that powerful.
Yeah, marketed as comedy. It’s should be Drama. Great show, gives me ptsd from my days of being a cook/baker. I missed those days and those people but at the same time, I don’t Hahaha
The show is good yes. Stress, ptsd , and so on is very real and everyone handles it differently. However, the last half of season 2 I feel like they over did it. It’s like bro, you’re just a chef acting like someone who just came back from WW2. I want the show to ease up on that a little bit
Comedy drama 😂I am 58 been in the restaurant industry my entire life and I couldn't watch the show because it triggered me 😂 I will give it another shot now that I have had more therapy 😢
This, but in s2, i felt like there was no progress in writing, it feels like its not completing to what s1 intended to, the change of the feelings and vibe the viewer gets. it has become OVERLY cynical and by time shows only the overwhelming narrative of life
that episode where it’s shot all in one take was absolutely incredible to watch, i never took my eyes off the screen 🔥
So good!!!
I felt like I was in the kitchen
It was so intense, like mouth dropping the entire time I was blown away, everything about this show is a masterpiece

I was so invested in the acting and story, I didn't even realise it was a one shot pffft
Never did I think I’d see John Mulaney, Bob Odenkirk and Sarah Paulson acting in the same scene together but holy shit that episode was life changing
So many people with good families could barely sit through that episode, whereas I was like "yep, seems like the holidays to me"
Hands down best show this year... finally a show that doesn't revolve romance, vengeance, and sex. Not even one kissing scene 👏🏻

The fishes episode is so intense, I could feel myself getting angry, confused with the chaos in kitchen.

Fuck I miss shameless 😭😭
@dixiethealien1221 when he's back in Chicago, he feels it.

I just rewatched the "Forks" episode today. Everything about that episode... I needed that today.
Such a good episode.
One of the best pieces of TV ever.
I just started and I’m hooked and exhausted at the same time! I’m emotionally drained and emotionally attached!!!!
Jeremy is pure magic.
So much dialogue to remember. They really do an awesome job!
I binged watched all 8 episodes and I really enjoyed every episode

I don’t know why so many dark dramas are called comedies such as this show and “orange is the new black” and “nurse Jackie”
Last episode of Season 2 was just amazing I really started liking cousin Richie in this season.
IM OBSESSED
Season 3 June 27th, full on BINGE WORTHY because it's BINGEABLE. No waiting a week for a new episode. Ty Hulu
Bro that episode when that girl fucked up the online orders and everything was backed up, the fucking scenes bro, shit gave me chills
Carmen was really outstanding

What’s hilarious is the irony of relatability 😂
i just thought lip was just going through his chef arc...
I think "Kitchen Drama" is the preferred nomenclature, Dude.😎
😁😂
Lip got into cooking? Nice
Happy to see that Lip in a better place now
OP called “The Bear” a “cooking show”.
Pretty sure he didn’t even watch the fucking trailer, much less the episodes.
S1E7 is phenomenal but gives me so much anxiety.
And the Christmas episode from season 2 omg ❤

It's really great. I love the whole cast and story line.
I loved it but it shot my anxiety
This isn't drama. It's full on anxiety inducing tv. Pump it into my veins.
i got really into cooking after watching this
It's soooo good!!!!

Gonna wqtch it with my dad tonight (i only wanted to watch it for jeremy but it looks rlly good)
I tried to watch it, but the first elisode stressed me out so much.. maybe Ill try to hive it another chance. I did love the actor as "Lip".
I though people were overreacting at first and binge watched both seasons within a couple of days. It felt so cinematic and everything was portrayed SO well. Probably my favorite show of all time
It's right up there with Six Feet Under and Years and Years, an incredible limited series British drama.
After seeing The Iron Claw I had to see The Bear. Two episodes in and I am impressed
If Claire won't have him I will
The best show on television. Better than succession, better than anything. In a loooooong while.
I'm not a binge watcher. I don't even like live action shows. I binged this in one day.
Shameless was way late into it's run by the time I had heard about it, so I skipped it. Jeremy Allen White was fantastic in this show, I only wish I had been able to see his performance in Shameless because I clearly missed out.
It's one of the most stressful shows I've ever watched. The family dinner episode in season 2 is so fucking chaotic.
REAL Life! I’m Carmine, and Proud of it! 😂🥃
Bro the marketing team did such HORRIBLE job at marketing/advertising this show 🤦♂️
Wilt Chamberlain Micheal Jordan and Larry bird
Bruh I saw this short and binged the same day. Dope show. Marcus would've deserved all that rage in Episode 7. Donuts my guy???

Never call it a cooking show

Im still shook by how difficult season 2 episode 6 was to watch the most traumautizing episode you can just tell the characters Comepletly lose it
I almost turned it off because it was my nuclear family playing their usual games. I will never watch h that episode again. It was that true to life and that powerful.
Make sure carls not driving.
It's not one take btw in production there's smart ways to cut different parts together to make it look like 1 take
Shows fantastic
Except their aprons and rags are NEVER DIRTY! AT ALL!
“Home town” it’s Chicago fella

Have you watched boiling point? A film set in a kitchen filmed in one take!!!
Yo a one take episode in a series. I've never even thought of that wow. I gotta see it. But ion got Hulu bruh
I wouldn’t say it’s a cooking show
Season 2 was boring but season 3 made up for it🗣️

YES CHEF

Wow, hard to believe we are watching the same show. Character development and progression is what S2 was all about.
So true
It’s NOT a cooking show!!
Just started watching show so far I like it but they make all kinds of sophisticated food then serve beef sandwiches ?
I liked Ratatouille, it was more realistic.
It is definitely not. Season 2 and 3 got the game of thrones treatment and turned into a romcom/ stupid drama that’s not about food
Love it, but literally get a headache with the amount of mindless shouting in every episode
I thought it was in disney Plus ? In the uk
