I have been struggling a lot with the food prices, too. It's especially hard to find something preprepared that isn't too full of bad things and doesn't cost a fortune. I am mostly bedridden and can no longer prepare fresh food. It breaks my heart. I've always been like you in the way that I love to take care of my home and take so much joy and pride in doing all the little tasks around the house and prepare fresh food daily. I haven't been able to do that in years now as even getting to the toilet is a major struggle and costs me all my energy and puts me through so much pain every time. It is nice to be able to watch you take care of your home and the kids so lovingly, though. It helps me pretend and dream about being able to do it myself again.❤
I'm sorry you are dealing with that. Being in pain all the time is so much to cope with. Sending you a virtual hug 🫂 I hope you find new ways of practising selfcare, you have to try and find little ways of brightening your day. Thank you for spending some time with me this Advent xx
@shadowsatmidnight I've been bedridden for 13 years. Since shortly after my 17th birthday. I've had a very long time to get to grips with it. I have given up any expectations and savour every moment the pain is low enough to let me think peacefully. Any tiny joyful moment is a big deal for me and gets treasured and feeds me through the really bad times. I have learnt to be very grateful for every little blessing♡ People often tell me I am the happiest person they know😅
Love your videos, so inspiring! I'm like you, buy what I can organic etc but at least we are trying!! Lidl not bad, not sure you would be near one? Your home and children are adorable and the milk delivery would be such a treat..it's nice to get excited about things like that..and have gratitude..I wouldn't bother buying takeaways and also McDonalds waste of money and still hungry after it haha...Some supermarkets even do takeaway ready meals which would still be cheaper! Or even batch cook some chicken curry and have whenever you feel like an easy meal 😊😊..God Bless...
We have a lidl fairly close, I've only been on once but we would like to go back once the traffic is better heading that way. Apparently the bakery is really good there too, so we need to investigate that 🤭 xx
I loved your chattering away in the second half! I have your same love of glass milk bottles. We use a business called the Modern Milkman who subtitle themselves ‘convenience with a conscience’. I love the sound of putting the empty bottles out on the front step at night! 😂
Oh I wanted to try that company, they had very posh looking mincepies when I looked. They don't work in my area though. Since milk and more were bought out, the range they have are much more limited. Fingers crossed it goes OK though, I have high hopes now ♡ Be nice if we could go back and have it all more local, I miss how local our villiage used to be. Now we have to drive to do anything. Be nice if I have no problems with the milk man and I can order from them instead of always driving out ♡ I love how much we have in common xx
I love your Christmas decorations 🎄 I have such fond memories of staying at my nan’s and going to get the milk off the doorstep each morning for our milky cup of tea. She used to have fresh orange juice delivered as well xXx
It tastes better from a glass bottle doesn't it?! I have to really becareful not to drink the whole orange juice in one go... I'd make myself so sick but want to do it anyway 🤭 I make sure to pour it all out into everyone's cups quickly, I can't be trusted.
@shadowsatmignight It really does, unfortunately I can’t have dairy now as I gained a lactose intolerance after I had my daughter 🥴 I do love fresh orange juice though but I can’t have too much otherwise I get heartburn 😅 xXx
