Good pod. I'd like to see them add more main story line to the seasons. If they like where they're at and not having to rework things, then go ham with the seasons.
the problem is actually the only end game challenging is Pit and pit in his actually form is boring AF. Add a leaderboard and improve Pit should be priority number one, but it seem that dont come in s7...
After Path of Exile 2 drops, I don’t think I’ll keep playing Diablo 4. Blizzard had over a year to create a compelling endgame, yet here we are-still waiting for something meaningful. The content drops are too small, too slow, and it honestly feels like they don’t understand what their players truly want. As an environment designer, I get the challenges of creating assets-rocks, trees, architecture, maps, lighting. But Blizzard has 900 developers. How are they still falling so short? In 2024, rigging a character can take as little as 15 minutes. Tools like ZBrush allow for hundreds of monster variations with relative ease. So where is all this content? It feels like they have six devs on art, and that’s it. But the problem isn’t just a lack of content; it’s a lack of quality content. Endgame needs to feel expansive, challenging, and rewarding. Summonable bosses and HellTides aren’t enough. Where are the systems that keep us engaged long-term? Where are the innovations that make an ARPG unforgettable? It’s baffling. Blizzard had a massive player base at launch, and they squandered it. Players shouldn’t have to beg for an endgame. How do you release an ARPG and fail to prioritize the very thing that keeps people playing? It shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the genre. This feels like the end for Diablo 4. Once PoE2 launches, it’s hard to imagine how Blizzard competes. Grinding Gear Games listens to their community and delivers consistently. Meanwhile, Blizzard is fumbling to deliver even the basics. Unless they figure it out-and fast-they’re going to lose the ARPG market entirely.
You played Poe 1? You participate in the discussions over the years on the ggg forum, I did. You know the typical drop off of Poe ( half life) is about 2-3 weeks right? Despite the quantity of contents, most quit halfway in end games, the one that’s even reach end game. That’s from ggg own data, and we can see from steamchart. The Poe 2 revealed looks good and I am happy for you to you jump ship. It’s a free world, play what you want. From my thousands hours in Poe, the updates were slower than d4. They look beefy because they have 10 years of update. and many of Poe 2 design are copy pasta from Poe. The atlas in Poe is nicer, from a web like subway map, to looking like tourist map. The underlining gameplay is similar though. You play mostly mapping, than side activities like excursion when you accolade enough mats. I think the side contents are improved , the core still similar. If you already like Poe end game, then it’s an evolutionary improvement. I don’t shared your thoughts on d4 end game being that bad. For sure there can be improvement like harder contents, but I don’t think variety is the issue. But yeah, quit d4 and play Poe 2 if you like. Personally, I will play both, and they offer something different. I think future is bright for both games.
Let's wait until the hype around PoE2 has settled - it won't be without its flaws, that's for sure. Nevertheless, I hope that Blizzard will finally get into gear and provide us with a long-lasting endgame and a reasonably balanced gaming experience.
Good, cleanse out the cry baby, whining No life’s on Reddit and TH-cam. They have something to spend 15 hours a day on soon. Leave the casual D4 players alone. D4 and PoE 2 are for different audiences.
@@kevinfinnerty8414the problem I’m going to start having is the spiritborn is so fun I don’t want to play the other classes anymore. They need to stop with all the nerfs and if the spiritborn is too strong to get any buffs fine atleast go crazy and buff the hell out of every other class.
@@kevinfinnerty8414 One audience is playing the game that is made by non-greedy developers, other audience is playing the game made by people that intentionaly made a "mistake" in season pass activation button, so you can make a missclick and activate it without confirmation :)
Like the pod hope you’ll keep it going with Poe 2

D2r ladder start at the same day as poe 2 release...
Will be an easy choice for most i believe.
Diablo 4 is in big TROUBLE
