Great list Rainer! I am a crime fiction reviewer and you hit a few of the best. I do recommend god of the woods. I liked wild houses by Colin Barrett. Black river by nilanjana Roy and for sheer fun the novels of Steve cavanagh. Ex. Kill for me,kill for you and witness 8. Peacock and the sparrow is last years book for us in the us. It was a favorite of mine last year. I met the author at Bouchercon, the world mystery convention. She is truly a delight to meet!
Midnight and Blue sounds intriguing, a cop in a prison when a murder occurs is an interesting premise. I'm not sure how crime can be 'cosy" but I have Richard Osman on my December TBR so I might find out....

These all look interesting. I had only heard of a few.
