@@spacecomet128 In the comics, Peter can survive in space, fly faster than the speed of light, and generate a personal force field. His other abilities include being able to recover from injuries quickly, super human strength, and universal language translation.
Peter may have lost "the light" from Ego, but that doesn't preclude him from tapping into other celestial power sources. Ego (or Meredith Quills?) genetic heritage allowed him to channel the Power Stones energies safely with a little help from his friends in Guardians 1. This was done at a distance from Egos planet (which was shown to be a ridiculously dangerous number of jumps from galactic byways). Don't think Ego's light helped with that beyond giving Peter the capacity to wield celestial energies.

I think StarLord visiting the site where the emergence of a celestial took place is a GREAT starting point for MCU to tie the eternals as canon and Segway to Star Lord being on Earth
Love that were seeing him again after this one of my all time MCU favorites. Also I heard a theory that he is how the Guardians get involved in the fight against Kang. He'd be on earth when the heroes begin to mobilize he could learn about it and contact the new team.
Quill still has oodles of space tech with him, is able to keep in touch with Knowhere if needed, probably the Ravagers too -- tons of cosmic experience, so he's a really valuable ally for Earth heroes when there's a big threat.
Not entirely sure if Quill would remember Peter is Spider-Man since the spell was for everyone to forget Peter Parker ever exist which would probably include Star Lord too even if he wasn’t on Earth.

First of all, he doesn’t remember him. No one does, including MJ, Ned or even Strange. Also, I feel like Spidey’s next trilogy will be more about him. He more experienced now and is pretty much starting from ground zero. No fancy stark suit, no friends or family and no heroes to team up with. This next trilogy is going to be about him learning how to overcome everything he’s been through. Doubt it will be filled with cameos like the first trilogy.
@@RodSerling. It's not entirely clear who remembers what. It seems like nobody remembers Peter Parker, but people do remember Spider-Man. And there are a million reasons the could partially walk back whatever effects of that spell they feel like, just like sone effects of OMD and OMIT were walked back some in the comics. Maybe a half-celestial like Quill is resistant to a spell like that. That said, I would much rather have a down-to-earth solo film for Spider-Man without a lot of MCU bells and whistles.
Kate (don't call me 'Kitty' damn it) is currently heading up a pirate ship for Krakoa with her team "The Marauders." I could totally dig them being 'shipped' together (pun intended high five).
I think the world would be genuinely a better place (or at least mine would be) if Marvel always just ended up making their movies based on all of Ryan’s theories and suggestions. Especially because he’s so knowledgeable about the comics and the content and genuinely loves it all so much, the plot lines he comes up with just make so much sense and are always so interesting and cool

Got you, prolly a preparation for the secret Wars thing but my hopes are with you ! ✌️ And the other dude here is right too, even if the third movie was about the self, it was pretty much about the mom of Peter in the first and the dad in the second… so I felt he got left a bit next to rocket, but just a bit 👋
@@HavendaleBlvd80 It can be argued that the other characters got sidelined for Peter Quill’s story in the first two films. The series is called Guardians of the Galaxy, and not Starlotd’s Guardians of the Galaxy, or just Starlord. It’s an ensemble. We followed Peter Quill in the first one because, as a human from Earth, he was the most relatable for the audience (i.e. the audience’s stand in). It made sense to focus on Peter Quill in the first one, but the focus should have been expanded in the second one, rather than focusing on Quill again. This third movie absolutely NAILED the “team” film by shifting the focus to a different member, but sidelining him. It made Rocket the the goal rather than the focus, which allowed the other team members to also shine.
@@eyespy3001 I see what you’re saying, but for a the final film in the trilogy, you should probably leave all the characters in satisfying places. Even if you plan to bring them back. For my viewing, the place they leave Star Lord is a bit weak and moot. I’m hoping their plans for him are ambitious enough to justify the anticlimactic way they left him off
@@omegaman2846 Fair enough. I guess we just disagree that his ending in this chapter wasn’t satisfying. I found it to be very much so. It brought him back full circle and concluded his hero journey, as they say. Also, it’s meant to be bittersweet to a degree, and it sets up many possible future narratives for his character. Maybe he’s not satisfied being back in Earth. Maybe he feels out of place and out of time. Perhaps by the end of the next story he’s in, the call of space adventure is too much to ignore, like Ego explained to him in Vol 2.
Rocket has embraced he's a raccoon with genetic heritage (North America) from Earth. So really, Peter and Rocket are the actual Terrans of the Guardians. Rocket also spent the entire Blip years on and off Earth with Nebula working with the remaining Avengers. He had a Science Bro buddy relationship with 'Big Green' Bruce, was friends with Rhodey, and we could see them meeting up again in future cross-over event films.

What if Star-lord joined SWORD as it's on staff space expert? Because who knows what the status of the Skrulls will be after Secret Invasion. Also, after The Marvels, what will be the status of Captain Marvel going forward with the Earth and Kree.
maybe starlord movie/tv show will focus having a mundane life, maybe family dont believe his stories. but then some aliens showup and peter becomes starlord again. another aspect Im having if secret wars will have battleworld is the fact in the comics. the entire universe is battleworld. the sun is the human torch being punished/tortured by god king doom and the moon is Knowhere. so there was a story with now named "Guardians of Knowhere" dealing with stuff up there
We could still get Gamora back, everyonr keeps missing the last part of her quote. She stated that SHE is done with Gamora, but she doesnt want Gamora to be done. Meaning theres a good chance she'll get recasted
With the premise being that Kitty would pair up with a "40 Year Old" Star Lord romantically, you have to consider how old Kitty would be. How old Kitty is would directly affect how old the X-Men comics' other more senior members are.
Your absolutely right. Kitty was one of the many “kid sister” characters to Wolverine and also a much younger mutant then the first class (Cyclops, Jean, Iceman, Beast & Angel). I mean she goes in to become the leader of the Mutant race at one point. So she needs to be around for a while. 😅
@@Pandemomium4Life Peter would get heartbroken by loving a time displaced person and then fall for a dimensional displaced person. Bonus points if they get Zoey to play her. Lmao.
I'm not too familiar with comics mantis but didn't she have the title of "celestial Madonna" perhaps that could tie into her lineage and connect her with the eternals plot. I don't think star lord is going to immediately go back into space as much as I want him in a sort of new space gods team with the eternals, Thor, white vision, scarlet witch, the marvels and Adam warlock going up against the celestials or omnipotence city, or both. Perhaps he might get involved with the celestial corpse on the earth side of things, if such a plot is split between earth activities and space activities.
@@Pandemomium4Life I’ve expressed this many times. That could be the core team. Then, few others could help outside. Such as Nebula, Banner, Rhodey, Deadpool, Logan, Shang-Chi, Lang, Wasp and Moon Knight.
My guess is that if they do anything they'll adapt the story where he became a bartender and bouncer at a NYC bar for villains and gets mixed up with the affairs of the patrons all while balancing a relationship with Kitty Pryde.
you know.. marvel could get away with making peter leader of the new avengers and it makes sense. you said it yourself, chris is a massive deal in hollywood and a true leading actor and there are not much of them these days.
Yeah, traveling the galaxy going on space adventures to now sitting in your grandpa's retirement home looking for a minimum wage job is a major stepdown... Kinda reminds me of watching Power Rangers as a kid and seeing Wes & Eric going from Time Force rangers fighting time traveling mutants but then in the next season they were giving out speeding tickets.
My hope is Guardians Annihilation will have the New Avangers, maybe barring Kraglin and Phylla-Vell taking part large scale. Dunno about Kraglin but I do hope that after the events of Annihilation we get Phylla and a iteration of Moondragon part of the team. But I do reckon for all that Annihilation is... Lets keep the kid out for just this one, and Kraglin being Sean Gunn is uncertain. Adam Warlock is guaranteed to come back. Vol 3 was basically just his origins comics wise, and he still has much to learn in and out of the Guardians. Rocket and Groot might return? I hope
what i had liked about the secret wars mini series was every marvel title stopped. every marvel title during the series was a tie in dealing with someone or something on battleworld. we had: -Guardians of Knowhere (since there is no galaxy...the guardians protect battleworld's moom....Knowhere) -Thors- all the thors of the multiverse are Doom's army -then had alternate versions of famous storylines where the event never ended like civil war (half the country divided. Iron man leads one half and cap the other), days of futures past, age of apocalypse, etc the stories were really fun. Im hoping the movies in between avengers 5 and 6 are like that. life on battleworld. Maybe an Old Man Logan movie/special (there was a series for it during secret wars where logan wonders through different parts of battleworld) a guardians of knowhere movie etc
I kind of think that StarLord is underrated, a solo film where he tries to adjust to earth could be really interesting! I hope one day we could have a reunion with him and Gamora...not as lovers, but maybe as friends, I'd give StarLord a new love interest

@@sahilmehta3703 Pretty true to the comics though: teaming up with Spider-Man is basically a rite of passage for a new hero.
@@pallen2645 thats a bad idea , not every dam marvel charectar needs to team up with spidey , let star lord get his own solo adventure
I loved Mantis telling Nebula to get off Drax's junk. "He makes us laugh and he loves us."
Maybe they can use Quill on Earth to build up Nova with Sam Alexander. Especially since the rumor is they’ll have both Sam and Richard Rider as Novas.
Kate (don't call me 'Kitty' damn it) is currently heading up a pirate ship for Krakoa with her team "The Marauders." I could totally dig them being 'shipped' together (pun intended high five).
You guys have put out a lot of videos about this movie. And I love it!
Wanda's dad is Magneto and her brother was one of the X-Men
I think I’ve seen Ryan more this week than my own family.
LOVE your Celestial idea!!
the guy Peter is referring to in the post credit scene is clearly an important figure.. wouldn't be surprised if he is a variant of Kang
Very excellent theory time Ryan. Well done. Fun to watch
You and your team are amazing at this!!!!!
Personally, I found Star Lord’s ending to be a bit weak. I hope we get something that makes his anticlimactic ending worth it. As long as they don’t just have him aimlessly floating around. I don’t know, I’m open minded, just don’t mess up my favorite character Marvel
It was more of Rocket story wasnt it. I think that Starlords ending fits so well. He's grandpa was heartbroken all these years.
Got you, prolly a preparation for the secret Wars thing but my hopes are with you ! ✌️
And the other dude here is right too, even if the third movie was about the self, it was pretty much about the mom of Peter in the first and the dad in the second… so I felt he got left a bit next to rocket, but just a bit 👋
I like the idea eternals takes place after GoTG3. What if when the events of Eternals goes down Peter is drawn to the celestial and pulled into events with Arishem etc...?
Screencrush went full on Alpha M. mode with the tiege hanley advertisement
Duuuuuude!! Awesome video. Love your theories! Marvel would be well advised to hire you as a consultant. I will watch this one many times. Keep up the great work!!
As soon as I found out Star Lord got with Kitty Pryde he became my personal hero
The Eternals is amazing. One day folks will appreciate it.
Ugh, no. That movie is terrible. Big swing and a miss.
I’ve been trying to say this for over a year now 😂💀
Oh yay, someone else who likes The Eternals as much as I did! (there aren't many of us, though)
I thinm I'd prefer the Kitty Pryde option. She could potentially even have a small band of mutant Marauders.
Freakishly On Point w/ all the ddetailzzz❤
I think you're right. Starlord could act as like Iron Man 1, establishing a new series of solo films.
I would love a Starlord movie directed by Edgar Wright.
There's no way a solo Star-Lord project will end up as a Disney+ series or special presentation. It will be a movie.
What if Star-lord joined SWORD as it's on staff space expert? Because who knows what the status of the Skrulls will be after Secret Invasion. Also, after The Marvels, what will be the status of Captain Marvel going forward with the Earth and Kree.
maybe starlord movie/tv show will focus having a mundane life, maybe family dont believe his stories. but then some aliens showup and peter becomes starlord again.
another aspect Im having if secret wars will have battleworld is the fact in the comics. the entire universe is battleworld. the sun is the human torch being punished/tortured by god king doom and the moon is Knowhere. so there was a story with now named "Guardians of Knowhere" dealing with stuff up there
I wanna Mantis “Special Presentation” that’s super trippy as she travels the multi-verse….
With the Marvels , Nova , Eternals , Skrulls , Kree , Shi'ar ( from the X-Men universe ) and who knows who else . They'll need a vet to lead them .
We could still get Gamora back, everyonr keeps missing the last part of her quote. She stated that SHE is done with Gamora, but she doesnt want Gamora to be done. Meaning theres a good chance she'll get recasted
what's even more cooler would be if we get a starlord and starfox adventure series
It'd be hilarious seeing star lord applying for his office job on parks and rec as a post credit scene lol
"Did you stop that bomb!?" Lol, I loved that scene
With the premise being that Kitty would pair up with a "40 Year Old" Star Lord romantically, you have to consider how old Kitty would be. How old Kitty is would directly affect how old the X-Men comics' other more senior members are.
enter the multiverse
Your absolutely right. Kitty was one of the many “kid sister” characters to Wolverine and also a much younger mutant then the first class (Cyclops, Jean, Iceman, Beast & Angel). I mean she goes in to become the leader of the Mutant race at one point. So she needs to be around for a while. 😅
@@Pandemomium4Life Peter would get heartbroken by loving a time displaced person and then fall for a dimensional displaced person. Bonus points if they get Zoey to play her. Lmao.
@@thomasleonardis711 bro just can't win at this point 🤣
This was a dope video, well done 👌🏾🔥
I'm not too familiar with comics mantis but didn't she have the title of "celestial Madonna" perhaps that could tie into her lineage and connect her with the eternals plot.
I don't think star lord is going to immediately go back into space as much as I want him in a sort of new space gods team with the eternals, Thor, white vision, scarlet witch, the marvels and Adam warlock going up against the celestials or omnipotence city, or both.
Perhaps he might get involved with the celestial corpse on the earth side of things, if such a plot is split between earth activities and space activities.
sending those daily positive vibes from Houston everyone!
Nice video and ideas. I like the first idea, nice way to bring in more mutants. And I like how you brought up what Rhodey thought of Starlord. 🙂👍
Uhh, I would love to see the heist movie with Star Lord and Kitty Pride. That sounds like a great movie!
aMAZING theories as always my man! 🙌🏾
GOTG is the origin story of Andy Dwyer in Parks and Rec (a goofy guy clearly not adapted to what being an adult on earth implies). Change my mind ! 😂
I really hope they continue to use Star Lord in future projects. There aren't a whole lot of capable leaders left in the MCU
Strange is. But, they shit on him so far.
@@jayw3512 how did they shit on him so far.
The only one so far is sam
@@mutalemwananshiku4098 Sam, Strange and Quill with Spidey, Thor and Bucky sounds like a good follow up Avengers movie
@@Pandemomium4Life I’ve expressed this many times. That could be the core team. Then, few others could help outside. Such as Nebula, Banner, Rhodey, Deadpool, Logan, Shang-Chi, Lang, Wasp and Moon Knight.
I'm down. But only if Kitty Pride is played by Aubrey Plaza.
Aubrey Plaza as Kitty Pryde. Make it happen, Disney!
I Soooo much want a deep dive on Mantis back story and how her role as the Celestial Madonna ties into the MCU.
With the charges facing the kang actor I have a feeling that there will be a lot of shuffling around, delays and maybe cancellations
Plus writers strike...
Maybe Quake will meet Star-Lord. That would be cool
Damn, that ultimate x-man page with Colossus running through Kitty unlocked some deeeep memories
Interesting ideas but bringing Thanos back wouldn’t be a good one
Mind blown when it comes to rectifying the celestial and earth surviving because it’s Star Lords home planet
I love the Celestial theory!
It feels like the MCU is going into parent child relationship, if shadow cat gets introduced I think it’s gonna be more of a father/daughter thing
My guess is that if they do anything they'll adapt the story where he became a bartender and bouncer at a NYC bar for villains and gets mixed up with the affairs of the patrons all while balancing a relationship with Kitty Pryde.
I'm eager for more Celestial stuff too but I don't know seems like marvel won't get back to them for quite some time. Heres to hoping!
What if Guardians was a prequel to Parks & Rec
I like this comment!
you know.. marvel could get away with making peter leader of the new avengers and it makes sense. you said it yourself, chris is a massive deal in hollywood and a true leading actor and there are not much of them these days.
Both of your ideas sounds great
I just bet that Starlord will meet the Eternals because of being a celestial.
Only issue with the emergence not happening yet is that in the Eternals they mention why they didn't help with Thanos five years before that time.
1:35 Ah ha! It could fit perfectly.
I hope
I would love to see a more pudgy Peter Quill. It would just be a contrast to the usual.
what i had liked about the secret wars mini series was every marvel title stopped. every marvel title during the series was a tie in dealing with someone or something on battleworld. we had:
-Guardians of Knowhere (since there is no galaxy...the guardians protect battleworld's moom....Knowhere)
-Thors- all the thors of the multiverse are Doom's army
-then had alternate versions of famous storylines where the event never ended like civil war (half the country divided. Iron man leads one half and cap the other), days of futures past, age of apocalypse, etc
the stories were really fun. Im hoping the movies in between avengers 5 and 6 are like that. life on battleworld. Maybe an Old Man Logan movie/special (there was a series for it during secret wars where logan wonders through different parts of battleworld) a guardians of knowhere movie etc
“This is my eye cream my guyyyy” love it 🤣
I kind of think that StarLord is underrated, a solo film where he tries to adjust to earth could be really interesting! I hope one day we could have a reunion with him and Gamora...not as lovers, but maybe as friends, I'd give StarLord a new love interest
Mantis is going to show up in the DCU now that James Gunn moved over, just like how mantis jumps around from dc to marvel and i think image.
I want the second story. Peter-Celestial
Fantastic breakdown!
