    Definitely a hat block on the last one. My sister is a milliner and has 100’s of different shaped blocks.

    The 'cuspidor' or spitter is NOT what that is, it is a custodians sink for filling and draining mop buckets. They are also used in buildings where plumbing is scarce yet they have a need to wash hands, fill buckets of water for watering plants, and again, mopping the floors.
    There was a fountain that was used for a 'spitter', but it was always on, and had no faucet.

    There’s the house made of bricks and the house made of wood…looks like the big bad wolf already blew down the house made of straw!

    I think the last item is part of a hat mold

    With respect to the urinal looking device mounted on the hall wall with a spigot. Bubba J told me what that was and I quote "that is a cuss then spit out your door ". According to Bubba, you can cuss, because you can't spit in the room then you can spit out the door.

    Last item is a weasle, used for making hats. The hat size is on the edge, 5 3/4 like Mini Pearls.

    Yep, a hat block. There I unzipped my mouth. Forgive me, I couldn't help it.

      At least, when you opened your mouth, you didn't spit!

    The brick building may be a later addition after the dairy farm became a "hobby" farm. Built as a child's playhouse. Maybe.

    I can't believe I did NOT get the clothes brush holder. Mom had a little scotty dog brush holder very much like the one shown here. I did get the ash tray and I'd guessed that the buildings were milk houses as there was a similar wood milk house on my grandparent's farm. I agree the last one is as others have said a hat block or mold.

    I just saw a well bucket similar to the one shown when I was watching an old 'Antiques Road Trip' the other day. That one was from France.

    I believe it's used to stretch hide to make a drum hence the numbers

    • @rrrosecarbinela
      @rrrosecarbinela 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I've made a drum -- you don't stretch the hide like that. you soak it, then affix it to the drum frame as tight as you can either by tacking/gluing it down (gourd banjos, Taiko drums), piercing and stringing (native American frame drums) or with a ring (djembes/snares/bass drum) -- It won't sound good until the hide dries, causing it to shrink and become tight.

      @@helgamcmullen9362 You made a good guess based on the available information. No apology necessary for being wrong. :) In fact I should apologize if I came off as overly pedantic.

    That last item is confirmed as an old ear wax harvester, missing the top part of center scoop, before they were made of metal or plastic. This was an Amish model indicated by the numbers. If you had 5 or 6 children, depending on their ages, it took roughly 210 days to fill the reservoir which was also the seed to harvest time frame for for many vegetables and grains so it doubled as a primitive calendar. The wax was recycled to polish furniture, shine marketable fruits and as a pomade replacement for mustaches and dapper hairdos of the day. And those are not nail holes, they are pin holes as this item was clearly owned by a man with many children and the finest, well groomed toupee in the county.

    Final item is an ancient bull semen container. Used to store prize bull semen to inseminate a cow later.
